La seconde année du règne de Darius, au huitième mois, la Parole de YEHOVAH fut adressée au prophète Zacharie, fils de Barachie, fils d'Iddo, en ces mots:

 In the eighth [8066] month, [2320] in the second [8147] year [8141] of Darius, [1867] came the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] unto Zechariah, [2148] the son [1121] of Berechiah, [1296] the son [1121] of Iddo [5714] the prophet, [5030] saying, [0559]

 YEHOVAH a été fort indigné contre vos pères.

 The LORD [3068] hath been sore [7110] displeased [7107] with your fathers. [0001]

 Tu leur diras donc: Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Revenez à moi, dit YEHOVAH des armées, et je reviendrai à vous, dit YEHOVAH des armées.

 Therefore say [0559] thou unto them, Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] Turn [7725] ye unto me, saith [5002] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] and I will turn [7725] unto you, saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts. [6635]

 Ne soyez pas comme vos pères, que les premiers prophètes ont appelés, en disant: Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Détournez-vous de vos voies mauvaises et de vos mauvaises actions; mais ils n'ont pas écouté, ils n'ont point fait attention à ma Parole, dit YEHOVAH.

 Be ye not as your fathers, [0001] unto whom the former [7223] prophets [5030] have cried, [7121] saying, [0559] Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] Turn [7725] ye now from your evil [7451] ways, [1870] and [from] your evil [7451] doings: [4611] but they did not hear, [8085] nor hearken [7181] unto me, saith [5002] the LORD. [3068]

 Vos pères, où sont-ils? Et ces prophètes devaient-ils toujours vivre?

 Your fathers, [0001] where [are] they? and the prophets, [5030] do they live [2421] for ever? [5769]

 Cependant mes paroles et mes ordres, que j'avais donnés aux prophètes mes serviteurs, ne se sont-ils pas accomplis sur vos pères? Ils sont revenus, et ils ont dit: Tout ce que YEHOVAH des armées avait résolu de nous faire, selon nos voies et selon nos actions, il l'a exécuté sur nous.

 But my words [1697] and my statutes, [2706] which I commanded [6680] my servants [5650] the prophets, [5030] did they not take hold [5381] of your fathers? [0001] and they returned [7725] and said, [0559] Like as the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] thought [2161] to do [6213] unto us, according to our ways, [1870] and according to our doings, [4611] so hath he dealt [6213] with us.

 Le vingt-quatrième jour du onzième mois, qui est le mois de Shébat, la seconde année de Darius, la Parole de YEHOVAH fut adressée au prophète Zacharie, fils de Barachie, fils d'Iddo, en ces mots:

 Upon the four [0702] and twentieth [6242] day [3117] of the eleventh [6249] [6240] month, [2320] which [is] the month [2320] Sebat, [7627] in the second [8147] year [8141] of Darius, [1867] came the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] unto Zechariah, [2148] the son [1121] of Berechiah, [1296] the son [1121] of Iddo [5714] the prophet, [5030] saying, [0559]

 J'eus la nuit une vision; et voici, un homme monté sur un cheval roux; il se tenait parmi les myrtes qui étaient dans le fond; et, après lui, des chevaux roux, tachetés et blancs.

 I saw [7200] by night, [3915] and behold a man [0376] riding [7392] upon a red [0122] horse, [5483] and he stood [5975] among the myrtle trees [1918] that [were] in the bottom; [4699] and behind [0310] him [were there] red [0122] horses, [5483] speckled, [8320] and white. [3836]

 Et je dis: Mon Seigneur, qui sont-ils? Et l'ange qui me parlait me dit: Je vais te faire voir ce que sont ces chevaux.

 Then said [0559] I, O my lord, [0113] what [are] these? And the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me said [0559] unto me, I will shew [7200] thee what these [be].

 Et l'homme qui se tenait parmi les myrtes, répondit et dit: Ce sont ceux que YEHOVAH a envoyés pour parcourir la terre.

 And the man [0376] that stood [5975] among the myrtle trees [1918] answered [6030] and said, [0559] These [are they] whom the LORD [3068] hath sent [7971] to walk [1980] to and fro through the earth. [0776]

 Et ils répondirent à l'ange de YEHOVAH, qui se tenait parmi les myrtes, et dirent: Nous avons parcouru la terre; et voici, toute la terre est tranquille et en repos.

 And they answered [6030] the angel [4397] of the LORD [3068] that stood [5975] among the myrtle trees, [1918] and said, [0559] We have walked to and fro [1980] through the earth, [0776] and, behold, all the earth [0776] sitteth still, [3427] and is at rest. [8252]

 Alors l'ange de YEHOVAH répondit et dit: YEHOVAH des armées! jusqu'à quand n'auras-tu pas compassion de Jérusalem et des villes de Juda, contre lesquelles tu es indigné depuis soixante et dix ans?

 Then the angel [4397] of the LORD [3068] answered [6030] and said, [0559] O LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] how long wilt thou not have mercy [7355] on Jerusalem [3389] and on the cities [5892] of Judah, [3063] against which thou hast had indignation [2194] these threescore and ten [7657] years? [8141]

 Et YEHOVAH répondit à l'ange qui me parlait, de bonnes paroles, des paroles de consolation.

 And the LORD [3068] answered [6030] the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me [with] good [2896] words [1697] [and] comfortable [5150] words. [1697]

 Et l'ange qui me parlait me dit: Crie, et dis: Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: JE SUIS jaloux pour Jérusalem, pour Sion, d'une grande jalousie;

 So the angel [4397] that communed [1696] with me said [0559] unto me, Cry [7121] thou, saying, [0559] Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] I am jealous [7065] for Jerusalem [3389] and for Zion [6726] with a great [1419] jealousy. [7068]

 Et JE SUIS extrêmement indigné contre ces nations qui sont à leur aise; car, lorsque j'étais qu'un peu indigné, elles ont contribué au mal.

 And I am very [1419] sore [7110] displeased [7107] with the heathen [1471] [that are] at ease: [7600] for I was but a little [4592] displeased, [7107] and they helped [5826] forward the affliction. [7451]

 C'est pourquoi, ainsi a dit YEHOVAH: Je reviens vers Jérusalem avec compassion; ma maison y sera rebâtie, dit YEHOVAH des armées, et le cordeau sera étendu sur Jérusalem.

 Therefore thus saith [0559] the LORD; [3068] I am returned [7725] to Jerusalem [3389] with mercies: [7356] my house [1004] shall be built [1129] in it, saith [5002] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] and a line [6957] [6961] shall be stretched forth [5186] upon Jerusalem. [3389]

 Crie encore, et dis: Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Mes villes regorgeront encore de biens, et YEHOVAH consolera encore Sion, et il élèvera encore Jérusalem.

 Cry [7121] yet, saying, [0559] Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] My cities [5892] through prosperity [2896] shall yet be spread abroad; [6327] and the LORD [3068] shall yet comfort [5162] Zion, [6726] and shall yet choose [0977] Jerusalem. [3389]

 Puis je levai les yeux et regardai; et je vis quatre cornes.

 Then lifted I up [5375] mine eyes, [5869] and saw, [7200] and behold four [0702] horns. [7161]

 Et je dis à l'ange qui me parlait: Qu'est-ce que ces cornes? Et il me dit: Ce sont les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, Israël et Jérusalem.

 And I said [0559] unto the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me, What [be] these? And he answered [0559] me, These [are] the horns [7161] which have scattered [2219] Judah, [3063] Israel, [3478] and Jerusalem. [3389]

 Puis YEHOVAH me fit voir quatre charpentiers.

 And the LORD [3068] shewed [7200] me four [0702] carpenters. [2796]

 Et je dis: Qu'est-ce que ceux-ci viennent faire? Et il répondit: Ce sont là les cornes qui ont dispersé Juda, tellement que personne n'osait lever la tête; mais ceux-ci sont venus pour les effrayer, pour abattre les cornes des nations, qui ont levé la corne contre le pays de Juda pour le disperser.

 Then said [0559] I, What come [0935] these to do? [6213] And he spake, [0559] saying, [0559] These [are] the horns [7161] which have scattered [2219] Judah, [3063] so that [6310] no man [0376] did lift up [5375] his head: [7218] but these are come [0935] to fray [2729] them, to cast out [3034] the horns [7161] of the Gentiles, [1471] which lifted up [5375] [their] horn [7161] over the land [0776] of Judah [3063] to scatter [2219] it.

 Puis, je levai les yeux, et regardai; et je vis un homme ayant à la main un cordeau à mesurer.

 I lifted up [5375] mine eyes [5869] again, and looked, [7200] and behold a man [0376] with a measuring [4060] line [2256] in his hand. [3027]

 Et je dis: Où vas-tu? Et il me répondit: Je vais mesurer Jérusalem, pour voir quelle est sa largeur et quelle est sa longueur.

 Then said [0559] I, Whither goest [1980] thou? And he said [0559] unto me, To measure [4058] Jerusalem, [3389] to see [7200] what [4100] [is] the breadth [7341] thereof, and what [4100] [is] the length [0753] thereof.

 Et voici, l'ange qui me parlait sortit, et un autre ange sortit au-devant de lui,

 And, behold, the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me went forth, [3318] and another [0312] angel [4397] went out [3318] to meet [7125] him,

 Et lui dit: Cours, parle à ce jeune homme, et dis: Jérusalem demeurera sans murailles, tant il y aura d'hommes et de bêtes au milieu d'elle.

 And said [0559] unto him, Run, [7323] speak [1696] to this [1975] young man, [5288] saying, [0559] Jerusalem [3389] shall be inhabited [3427] [as] towns without walls [6519] for the multitude [7230] of men [0120] and cattle [0929] therein: [8432]

 Et je serai pour elle, dit YEHOVAH, une muraille de feu qui l'entourera, et je serai sa gloire au milieu d'elle.

 For I, saith [5002] the LORD, [3068] will be unto her a wall [2346] of fire [0784] round about, [5439] and will be the glory [3519] in the midst [8432] of her.

 Fuyez, fuyez hors du pays de l'Aquilon! dit YEHOVAH; car je vous ai dispersés aux quatre vents des cieux, dit YEHOVAH.

 Ho, [1945] ho, [1945] [come forth], and flee [5127] from the land [0776] of the north, [6828] saith [5002] the LORD: [3068] for I have spread you abroad [6566] as the four [0702] winds [7307] of the heaven, [8064] saith [5002] the LORD. [3068]

 Sauve-toi, Sion, qui demeures chez la fille de Babylone!

 Deliver [4422] thyself, O [1945] Zion, [6726] that dwellest [3427] [with] the daughter [1323] of Babylon. [0894]

 Car ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées, qui m'a envoyé avec gloire vers les nations qui vous ont pillés: Qui vous touche, touche la prunelle de son œil.

 For thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] After [0310] the glory [3519] hath he sent [7971] me unto the nations [1471] which spoiled [7997] you: for he that toucheth [5060] you toucheth [5060] the apple [0892] of his eye. [5869]

 Car voici, je vais lever ma main contre elles, et elles seront la proie de ceux qui leur étaient asservis, et vous connaîtrez que YEHOVAH des armées m'a envoyé.

 For, behold, I will shake [5130] mine hand [3027] upon them, and they shall be a spoil [7998] to their servants: [5647] and ye shall know [3045] that the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] hath sent [7971] me.

 Pousse des cris de joie, et réjouis-toi, fille de Sion! Car voici, je viens, et j'habiterai au milieu de toi, dit YEHOVAH.

 Sing [7442] and rejoice, [8055] O daughter [1323] of Zion: [6726] for, lo, I come, [0935] and I will dwell [7931] in the midst [8432] of thee, saith [5002] the LORD. [3068]

 Et plusieurs nations s'attacheront à YEHOVAH en ce jour-là, et deviendront mon peuple; et j'habiterai au milieu de toi, et tu sauras que YEHOVAH des armées m'a envoyé vers toi.

 And many [7227] nations [1471] shall be joined [3867] to the LORD [3068] in that day, [3117] and shall be my people: [5971] and I will dwell [7931] in the midst [8432] of thee, and thou shalt know [3045] that the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] hath sent [7971] me unto thee.

 Et YEHOVAH possédera Juda pour son partage, dans la terre sainte, et il choisira encore Jérusalem.

 And the LORD [3068] shall inherit [5157] Judah [3063] his portion [2506] in the holy [6944] land, [0127] and shall choose [0977] Jerusalem [3389] again.

 Que toute chair fasse silence devant YEHOVAH; car il s'est réveillé de sa demeure sainte!

 Be silent, [2013] O all flesh, [1320] before [6440] the LORD: [3068] for he is raised up [5782] out of his holy [6944] habitation. [4583]

 Puis YEHOVAH me fit voir Joshua, le grand sacrificateur, debout devant l'ange de YEHOVAH, et l'adversaire se tenait à sa droite, pour s'opposer à lui.

 And he shewed [7200] me Joshua [3091] the high [1419] priest [3548] standing [5975] before [6440] the angel [4397] of the LORD, [3068] and Satan [7854] standing [5975] at his right hand [3225] to resist [7853] him.

 Et YEHOVAH dit à l'adversaire: Que YEHOVAH te réprime, toi qui est l'adversaire! Que YEHOVAH te réprime, lui qui a choisi Jérusalem! Celui-ci n'est-il pas un tison retiré du feu?

 And the LORD [3068] said [0559] unto Satan, [7854] The LORD [3068] rebuke [1605] thee, O Satan; [7854] even the LORD [3068] that hath chosen [0977] Jerusalem [3389] rebuke [1605] thee: [is] not this a brand [0181] plucked [5337] out of the fire? [0784]

 Or Joshua était vêtu de vêtements sales, et se tenait devant l'ange.

 Now Joshua [3091] was clothed [3847] with filthy [6674] garments, [0899] and stood [5975] before [6440] the angel. [4397]

 Et l'ange prit la parole, et dit à ceux qui se tenaient devant lui: Ôtez-lui ses vêtements sales. Puis il dit à Joshua: Vois, j'enlève ton iniquité, et je te revêts d'habits magnifiques.

 And he answered [6030] and spake [0559] unto those that stood [5975] before [6440] him, saying, [0559] Take away [5493] the filthy [6674] garments [0899] from him. And unto him he said, [0559] Behold, [7200] I have caused thine iniquity [5771] to pass [5674] from thee, and I will clothe [3847] thee with change of raiment. [4254]

 Et je dis: Qu'on lui mette sur la tête une tiare pure! Et ils lui mirent sur la tête une tiare pure, et le revêtirent des vêtements, en présence de l'ange de YEHOVAH.

 And I said, [0559] Let them set [7760] a fair [2889] mitre [6797] upon his head. [7218] So they set [7760] a fair [2889] mitre [6797] upon his head, [7218] and clothed [3847] him with garments. [0899] And the angel [4397] of the LORD [3068] stood by. [5975]

 Puis l'ange de YEHOVAH fit à Joshua cette déclaration:

 And the angel [4397] of the LORD [3068] protested [5749] unto Joshua, [3091] saying, [0559]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Si tu marches dans mes voies, et si tu gardes ce que je veux que l'on garde, tu jugeras aussi ma maison, tu garderas mes parvis, et je te donnerai libre accès parmi ceux-ci qui se tiennent devant moi.

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] If thou wilt walk [3212] in my ways, [1870] and if thou wilt keep [8104] my charge, [4931] then thou shalt also judge [1777] my house, [1004] and shalt also keep [8104] my courts, [2691] and I will give [5414] thee places to walk [4108] among these that stand by. [5975]

 Écoute, Joshua, grand sacrificateur, toi et tes compagnons qui sont assis devant toi; car se sont des hommes qui serviront de signes: voici, je vais faire venir mon serviteur, LE GERME.

 Hear [8085] now, O Joshua [3091] the high [1419] priest, [3548] thou, and thy fellows [7453] that sit [3427] before [6440] thee: for they [are] men [0582] wondered [4159] at: for, behold, I will bring forth [0935] my servant [5650] the BRANCH. [6780]

 Car voici, quant à la pierre que j'ai mise devant Joshua, sur une seule pierre il y a sept yeux. Voici, je vais graver ce qui doit être gravé sur elle, dit YEHOVAH des armées, et j'ôterai en un jour l'iniquité de ce pays.

 For behold the stone [0068] that I have laid [5414] before [6440] Joshua; [3091] upon one [0259] stone [0068] [shall be] seven [7651] eyes: [5869] behold, I will engrave [6605] the graving [6603] thereof, saith [5002] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] and I will remove [4185] the iniquity [5771] of that land [0776] in one [0259] day. [3117]

 En ce jour-là, dit YEHOVAH des armées, vous vous appellerez l'un l'autre sous la vigne et sous le figuier.

 In that day, [3117] saith [5002] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] shall ye call [7121] every man [0376] his neighbour [7453] under the vine [1612] and under the fig tree. [8384]

 Puis l'ange qui me parlait revint, et me réveilla, comme un homme qu'on réveille de son sommeil;

 And the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me came again, [7725] and waked [5782] me, as a man [0376] that is wakened [5782] out of his sleep, [8142]

 Et il me dit: Que vois-tu? Et je dis: Je regarde, et voici il y a un lampadaire tout d'or, avec son réservoir au sommet, et portant ses sept lampes, avec sept conduits pour les sept lampes qui sont au sommet du lampadaire.

 And said [0559] unto me, What seest [7200] thou? And I said, [0559] I have looked, [7200] and behold a candlestick [4501] all [of] gold, [2091] with a bowl [1531] upon the top [7218] of it, and his seven [7651] lamps [5216] thereon, and seven [7651] pipes [4166] to the seven [7651] lamps, [5216] which [are] upon the top [7218] thereof:

 Et il y a près de lui deux oliviers, l'un à droite du réservoir, et l'autre à gauche.

 And two [8147] olive trees [2132] by it, one [0259] upon the right [3225] [side] of the bowl, [1543] and the other [0259] upon the left [8040] [side] thereof.

 Et je pris la parole, et dis à l'ange qui me parlait: Que signifient ces choses, mon seigneur?

 So I answered [6030] and spake [0559] to the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me, saying, [0559] What [are] these, my lord? [0113]

 Et l'ange qui me parlait répondit et me dit: Ne sais-tu pas ce que signifient ces choses? Et je dis: Non, mon seigneur.

 Then the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me answered [6030] and said [0559] unto me, Knowest [3045] thou not what these be? And I said, [0559] No, my lord. [0113]

 Alors il reprit et me dit: C'est ici la Parole de YEHOVAH, qu'il adresse à Zorobabel, disant: Ce n'est point par puissance, ni par force, mais par mon Esprit, a dit YEHOVAH des armées.

 Then he answered [6030] and spake [0559] unto me, saying, [0559] This [is] the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] unto Zerubbabel, [2216] saying, [0559] Not by might, [2428] nor by power, [3581] but by my spirit, [7307] saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts. [6635]

 Qu'es-tu, grande montagne, devant Zorobabel? Tu seras aplanie. Il fera paraître la pierre la pierre la plus haute, aux cris de: Grâce, grâce sur elle!

 Who [art] thou, O great [1419] mountain? [2022] before [6440] Zerubbabel [2216] [thou shalt become] a plain: [4334] and he shall bring forth [3318] the headstone [0068] [7222] [thereof with] shoutings, [8663] [crying], Grace, [2580] grace [2580] unto it.

 La Parole de YEHOVAH me fut encore adressée, en ces mots:

 Moreover the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] came unto me, saying, [0559]

 Les mains de Zorobabel ont fondé cette maison, et ses mains l'achèveront, et tu sauras que YEHOVAH des armées m'a envoyé vers vous.

 The hands [3027] of Zerubbabel [2216] have laid the foundation [3245] of this house; [1004] his hands [3027] shall also finish [1214] it; and thou shalt know [3045] that the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] hath sent [7971] me unto you.

 Car qui est-ce qui méprise le temps des petits commencements? Ils se réjouiront, en voyant la pierre du niveau dans la main de Zorobabel. Ces sept yeux sont les yeux de YEHOVAH, qui parcourent toute la terre.

 For who hath despised [0936] the day [3117] of small things? [6996] for they shall rejoice, [8055] and shall see [7200] the plummet [0068] [0913] in the hand [3027] of Zerubbabel [2216] [with] those seven; [7651] they [are] the eyes [5869] of the LORD, [3068] which run to and fro [7751] through the whole earth. [0776]

 Et je pris la parole, et lui dis: Que signifient ces deux oliviers, à la droite du lampadaire et à sa gauche?

 Then answered [6030] I, and said [0559] unto him, What [are] these two [8147] olive trees [2132] upon the right [3225] [side] of the candlestick [4501] and upon the left [8040] [side] thereof?

 Je pris la parole une seconde fois, et lui dis: Que signifient ces deux grappes d'olives qui sont à côté des deux conduits d'or, d'où découle l'or?

 And I answered [6030] again, [8145] and said [0559] unto him, What [be these] two [8147] olive [2132] branches [7641] which through [3027] the two [8147] golden [2091] pipes [6804] empty [7324] the golden [2091] [oil] out of themselves?

 Et il me parla, et me dit: Ne sais-tu pas ce qu'ils signifient? Et je dis: Non, mon seigneur.

 And he answered [0559] me and said, [0559] Knowest [3045] thou not what these [be]? And I said, [0559] No, my lord. [0113]

 Alors il dit: Ce sont les deux oints de YEHOVAH, qui se tiennent devant le Seigneur de toute la terre.

 Then said [0559] he, These [are] the two [8147] anointed [3323] ones, [1121] that stand [5975] by the Lord [0113] of the whole earth. [0776]

 Je levai de nouveau les yeux et regardai, et je vis un rouleau qui volait.

 Then I turned, [7725] and lifted up [5375] mine eyes, [5869] and looked, [7200] and behold a flying [5774] roll. [4039]

 Et il me dit: Que vois-tu? Et je dis: Je vois un rouleau qui vole, dont la longueur est de vingt coudées et la largeur de dix coudées.

 And he said [0559] unto me, What seest [7200] thou? And I answered, [0559] I see [7200] a flying [5774] roll; [4039] the length [0753] thereof [is] twenty [6242] cubits, [0520] and the breadth [7341] thereof ten [6235] cubits. [0520]

 Et il me dit: C'est la malédiction qui se répand sur toute la face du pays; car selon elle tout voleur sera exterminé d'ici, et selon elle tout faiseur de faux serment sera exterminé d'ici.

 Then said [0559] he unto me, This [is] the curse [0423] that goeth forth [3318] over the face [6440] of the whole earth: [0776] for every one that stealeth [1589] shall be cut off [5352] [as] on this side according [3644] to it; and every one that sweareth [7650] shall be cut off [5352] [as] on that side according [3644] to it.

 Je la répandrai, dit YEHOVAH des armées; et elle entrera dans la maison du voleur, et dans la maison de celui qui jure faussement par mon nom; et elle logera au milieu de leur maison, et la consumera avec son bois et ses pierres.

 I will bring it forth, [3318] saith [5002] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] and it shall enter [0935] into the house [1004] of the thief, [1590] and into the house [1004] of him that sweareth [7650] falsely [8267] by my name: [8034] and it shall remain [3885] in the midst [8432] of his house, [1004] and shall consume [3615] it with the timber [6086] thereof and the stones [0068] thereof.

 Puis l'ange qui me parlait s'avança dehors, et me dit: Lève les yeux, et regarde ce qui sort là.

 Then the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me went forth, [3318] and said [0559] unto me, Lift up [5375] now thine eyes, [5869] and see [7200] what [is] this that goeth forth. [3318]

 Et je vis une masse de plomb soulevée, et il y avait là une femme assise au milieu de l'épha.

 And, behold, there was lifted up [5375] a talent [3603] of lead: [5777] and this [is] a [0259] woman [0802] that sitteth [3427] in the midst [8432] of the ephah. [0374]

 Et il dit: C'est là l'iniquité! Et il la rejeta au milieu de l'épha, et rejeta la masse de plomb sur l'ouverture.

 And he said, [0559] This [is] wickedness. [7564] And he cast [7993] it into the midst [8432] of the ephah; [0374] and he cast [7993] the weight [0068] of lead [5777] upon the mouth [6310] thereof.

 Et, levant les yeux, je regardai, et je vis paraître deux femmes; et le vent soufflait dans leurs ailes; elles avaient des ailes comme les ailes de la cigogne, et elles enlevèrent l'épha entre la terre et les cieux.

 Then lifted I up [5375] mine eyes, [5869] and looked, [7200] and, behold, there came out [3318] two [8147] women, [0802] and the wind [7307] [was] in their wings; [3671] for they had [2007] wings [3671] like the wings [3671] of a stork: [2624] and they lifted up [5375] the ephah [0374] between the earth [0776] and the heaven.  Et je dis à l'ange qui me parlait: Où emportent-elles l'épha?

 Then said [0559] I to the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me, Whither do these bear [3212] the ephah? [0374]

 Et il me dit: C'est pour lui bâtir une maison au pays de la régénération; et quand elle sera préparée, il sera posé là sur sa base.

 And he said [0559] unto me, To build [1129] it an house [1004] in the land [0776] of Shinar: [8152] and it shall be established, [3559] and set [3240] there upon her own base. [4369]

 Je levai de nouveau les yeux, et regardai; et je vis quatre chariots qui sortaient d'entre deux montagnes; et ces montagnes étaient des montagnes d'airain.

 And I turned, [7725] and lifted up [5375] mine eyes, [5869] and looked, [7200] and, behold, there came four [0702] chariots [4818] out [3318] from between two [8147] mountains; [2022] and the mountains [2022] [were] mountains [2022] of brass. [5178]

 Au premier chariot il y avait des chevaux roux; au second chariot, des chevaux noirs;

 In the first [7223] chariot [4818] [were] red [0122] horses; [5483] and in the second [8145] chariot [4818] black [7838] horses; [5483]

 Au troisième chariot, des chevaux blancs; au quatrième chariot, des chevaux tachetés et vigoureux.

 And in the third [7992] chariot [4818] white [3836] horses; [5483] and in the fourth [7243] chariot [4818] grisled [1261] and bay [0554] horses. [5483]

 Alors je pris la parole, et dis à l'ange qui me parlait: Qu'est-ce que cela, mon seigneur?

 Then I answered [6030] and said [0559] unto the angel [4397] that talked [1696] with me, What [are] these, my lord? [0113]

 L'ange répondit et me dit: Ce sont les quatre vents des cieux, qui sortent du lieu où ils se tenaient devant le Seigneur de toute la terre.

 And the angel [4397] answered [6030] and said [0559] unto me, These [are] the four [0702] spirits [7307] of the heavens, [8064] which go forth [3318] from standing [3320] before the Lord [0113] of all the earth. [0776]

 Les chevaux noirs qui sont à l'un des chariots, s'en vont vers le pays du nord, et les blancs vont après eux, et les tachetés vont vers le pays du midi.

 The black [7838] horses [5483] which [are] therein go forth [3318] into the north [6828] country; [0776] and the white [3836] go forth [3318] after [0310] them; and the grisled [1261] go forth [3318] toward the south [8486] country. [0776]

 Et les vigoureux sortirent, et demandèrent d'aller parcourir la terre. Et il leur dit: Allez, parcourez la terre. Et ils parcoururent la terre.

 And the bay [0554] went forth, [3318] and sought [1245] to go [3212] that they might walk to and fro [1980] through the earth: [0776] and he said, [0559] Get you hence, [3212] walk to and fro [1980] through the earth. [0776] So they walked to and fro [1980] through the earth. [0776]

 Puis il m'appela, et me dit: Vois, ceux qui sortent vers le pays du nord, font reposer mon Esprit sur le pays du nord.

 And the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] came unto me, saying, [0559]

 Reçois des dons de la part des captifs, de Heldaï, de Tobija et de Jédaeja; va toi-même, aujourd'hui, dans la maison de Josias, fils de Sophonie, où ils sont arrivés de Babylone;

 Take [3947] of [them of] the captivity, [1473] [even] of Heldai, [2469] of Tobijah, [2900] and of Jedaiah, [3048] which are come [0935] from Babylon, [0894] and come [0935] thou the same day, [3117] and go [0935] into the house [1004] of Josiah [2977] the son [1121] of Zephaniah; [6846]

 Reçois de l'argent et de l'or, et fais-en des couronnes, et mets-les sur la tête de Joshua, fils de Jotsadak, grand sacrificateur.

 Then take [3947] silver [3701] and gold, [2091] and make [6213] crowns, [5850] and set [7760] [them] upon the head [7218] of Joshua [3091] the son [1121] of Josedech, [3087] the high [1419] priest; [3548]

 Et parle-lui en ces mots: Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Voici un homme dont le nom est LA BRANCHE, qui germera de son lieu et bâtira le temple de YEHOVAH.

 And speak [0559] unto him, saying, [0559] Thus speaketh [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] saying, [0559] Behold the man [0376] whose name [8034] [is] The BRANCH; [6780] and he shall grow up [6779] out of his place, and he shall build [1129] the temple [1964] of the LORD: [3068]

 Celui-là rebâtira le temple de YEHOVAH; celui-là obtiendra la majesté; il siégera, il régnera sur son trône; il sera sacrificateur sur son trône, et un conseil de paix fera des deux un seul.

 Even he shall build [1129] the temple [1964] of the LORD; [3068] and he shall bear [5375] the glory, [1935] and shall sit [3427] and rule [4910] upon his throne; [3678] and he shall be a priest [3548] upon his throne: [3678] and the counsel [6098] of peace [7965] shall be between them both. [8147]

 Et les couronnes seront pour Hélem, pour Tobija, pour Jédaeja et pour Hen, fils de Sophonie, un mémorial dans le temple de YEHOVAH.

 And the crowns [5850] shall be to Helem, [2494] and to Tobijah, [2900] and to Jedaiah, [3048] and to Hen [2581] the son [1121] of Zephaniah, [6846] for a memorial [2146] in the temple [1964] of the LORD. [3068]

 Et ceux qui sont loin viendront, et travailleront au temple de YEHOVAH; et vous saurez que YEHOVAH des armées m'a envoyé vers vous. Cela arrivera, si vous écoutez attentivement la voix de YEHOVAH votre Dieu.

 And they [that are] far off [7350] shall come [0935] and build [1129] in the temple [1964] of the LORD, [3068] and ye shall know [3045] that the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] hath sent [7971] me unto you. And [this] shall come to pass, if ye will diligently [8085] obey [8085] the voice [6963] of the LORD [3068] your God. [0430]

 La quatrième année du roi Darius, la Parole de YEHOVAH fut adressée à Zacharie, le quatrième jour du neuvième mois, du mois de Kisleu;

 And it came to pass in the fourth [0702] year [8141] of king [4428] Darius, [1867] [that] the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] came unto Zechariah [2148] in the fourth [0702] [day] of the ninth [8671] month, [2320] [even] in Chisleu; [3691]

 Lorsqu'on eut envoyé à la maison de Dieu Sharetser et Réguem-Mélec, et ses gens, pour supplier YEHOVAH,

 When they had sent [7971] unto the house [1004] of God [0410] Sherezer [8272] and Regemmelech, [7278] and their men, [0582] to pray [2470] before [6440] the LORD, [3068]

 Et pour parler aux sacrificateurs de la maison de YEHOVAH des armées, et aux prophètes, en ces mots: Dois-je pleurer au cinquième mois, et faire abstinence, comme je l'ai fait pendant tant d'années?

 [And] to speak [0559] unto the priests [3548] which [were] in the house [1004] of the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] and to the prophets, [5030] saying, [0559] Should I weep [1058] in the fifth [2549] month, [2320] separating [5144] myself, as I have done [6213] these so many years? [8141]

 Et la Parole de YEHOVAH des armées me fut adressée en ces mots:

 Then came the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] unto me, saying, [0559]

 Parle à tout le peuple du pays et aux sacrificateurs, et dis-leur: Quand vous avez jeûné en vous lamentant, au cinquième et au septième mois, et cela depuis soixante et dix ans, est-ce bien pour moi, pour moi, que vous avez jeûné?

 Speak [0559] unto all the people [5971] of the land, [0776] and to the priests, [3548] saying, [0559] When ye fasted [6684] and mourned [5594] in the fifth [2549] and seventh [7637] [month], even those seventy [7657] years, [8141] did ye at all [6684] fast [6684] unto me, [even] to me?

 Et quand vous mangez et que vous buvez, n'est-ce pas vous qui mangez et vous qui buvez?

 And when ye did eat, [0398] and when ye did drink, [8354] did not ye eat [0398] [for yourselves], and drink [8354] [for yourselves]?

 Ne sont-ce pas les paroles que faisait entendre YEHOVAH par les premiers prophètes, lorsque Jérusalem était habitée et tranquille, elle et ses villes autour d'elle, et que le midi et la plaine étaient habités?

 [Should ye] not [hear] the words [1697] which the LORD [3068] hath cried [7121] by [3027] the former [7223] prophets, [5030] when Jerusalem [3389] was inhabited [3427] and in prosperity, [7961] and the cities [5892] thereof round about [5439] her, when [men] inhabited [3427] the south [5045] and the plain? [8219]

 Puis la Parole de YEHOVAH fut adressée à Zacharie, en ces mots:

 And the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] came unto Zechariah, [2148] saying, [0559]

 Ainsi avait dit YEHOVAH des armées: Rendez la justice avec vérité, exercez la miséricorde et la compassion, chacun envers son frère;

 Thus speaketh [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] saying, [0559] Execute [8199] true [0571] judgment, [4941] and shew [6213] mercy [2617] and compassions [7356] every man [0376] to his brother: [0251]

 N'opprimez pas la veuve et l'orphelin, l'étranger et le pauvre, et ne méditez pas dans vos cœurs le mal l'un contre l'autre.

 And oppress [6231] not the widow, [0490] nor the fatherless, [3490] the stranger, [1616] nor the poor; [6041] and let none [0376] of you imagine [2803] evil [7451] against his brother [0251] in your heart. [3824]

 Mais ils n'ont pas voulu écouter; ils ont tiré l'épaule en arrière; ils ont appesanti leurs oreilles pour ne pas entendre;

 But they refused [3985] to hearken, [7181] and pulled [5414] away [5637] the shoulder, [3802] and stopped [3513] their ears, [0241] that they should not hear. [8085]

 Ils ont rendu leur cœur dur comme un diamant, pour ne pas entendre la loi et les paroles que YEHOVAH des armées leur adressait par son Esprit, par les premiers prophètes; et il y eut une grande indignation de la part de YEHOVAH des armées.

 Yea, they made [7760] their hearts [3820] [as] an adamant stone, [8068] lest they should hear [8085] the law, [8451] and the words [1697] which the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] hath sent [7971] in his spirit [7307] by [3027] the former [7223] prophets: [5030] therefore came a great [1419] wrath [7110] from the LORD [3068] of hosts.  Et comme ils n'ont pas écouté lorsqu'il a crié, de même quand ils ont crié je n'ai point écouté, a dit YEHOVAH des armées.

 Therefore it is come to pass, [that] as he cried, [7121] and they would not hear; [8085] so they cried, [7121] and I would not hear, [8085] saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts: [6635]

 Je les ai chassés par la tempête vers toutes les nations qu'ils ne connaissaient point, et derrière eux le pays est resté désert, sans allants ni venants, et du pays de délices ils ont fait une désolation.

 But I scattered them with a whirlwind [5590] among all the nations [1471] whom they knew [3045] not. Thus the land [0776] was desolate [8074] after [0310] them, that no man passed through [5674] nor returned: [7725] for they laid [7760] the pleasant [2532] land [0776] desolate. [8047]

 La Parole de YEHOVAH des armées me fut encore adressée en ces mots:

 Again the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] came [to me], saying, [0559]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: JE SUIS jaloux pour Sion d'une grande jalousie; JE SUIS jaloux pour elle avec une grande indignation.

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] I was jealous [7065] for Zion [6726] with great [1419] jealousy, [7068] and I was jealous [7065] for her with great [1419] fury. [2534]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH: Je reviens vers Sion; j'habiterai au milieu de Jérusalem; et Jérusalem sera appelée la ville fidèle, et la montagne de YEHOVAH des armées, la montagne sainte.

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD; [3068] I am returned [7725] unto Zion, [6726] and will dwell [7931] in the midst [8432] of Jerusalem: [3389] and Jerusalem [3389] shall be called [7121] a city [5892] of truth; [0571] and the mountain [2022] of the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] the holy [6944] mountain. [2022]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Il y aura encore des vieillards et des femmes âgées, assis dans les places de Jérusalem, ayant chacun son bâton à la main, à cause du grand nombre de leurs jours.

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] There shall yet old men [2205] and old women [2205] dwell [3427] in the streets [7339] of Jerusalem, [3389] and every man [0376] with his staff [4938] in his hand [3027] for very [7230] age. [3117]

 Et les places de la ville seront remplies de jeunes garçons et de jeunes filles, qui se joueront dans ses places.

 And the streets [7339] of the city [5892] shall be full [4390] of boys [3206] and girls [3207] playing [7832] in the streets [7339] thereof.

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Si cela semble difficile aux yeux du reste de ce peuple en ces jours-là, sera-ce pourtant difficile à mes yeux? dit YEHOVAH des armées.

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] If it be marvellous [6381] in the eyes [5869] of the remnant [7611] of this people [5971] in these days, [3117] should it also be marvellous [6381] in mine eyes? [5869] saith [5002] the LORD [3068] of hosts. [6635]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Voici, je vais sauver mon peuple du pays du Levant, et du pays du Couchant.

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] Behold, I will save [3467] my people [5971] from the east [4217] country, [0776] and from the west [3996] [8121] country; [0776]

 Je les ferai venir, et ils habiteront au milieu de Jérusalem; et ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu, dans la vérité et dans la justice.

 And I will bring [0935] them, and they shall dwell [7931] in the midst [8432] of Jerusalem: [3389] and they shall be my people, [5971] and I will be their God, [0430] in truth [0571] and in righteousness. [6666]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Que vos mains se fortifient, ô vous qui entendez aujourd'hui ces paroles de la bouche des prophètes, au temps où la maison de YEHOVAH des armées a été fondée et son temple rebâti.

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] Let your hands [3027] be strong, [2388] ye that hear [8085] in these days [3117] these words [1697] by the mouth [6310] of the prophets, [5030] which [were] in the day [3117] [that] the foundation of the house [1004] of the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] was laid, [3245] that the temple [1964] might be built. [1129]

 Car, avant ce temps, il n'y avait point de salaire pour le travail de l'homme, ni de salaire pour le travail des bêtes; et pour ceux qui allaient et qui venaient, il n'y avait aucune paix à cause de l'ennemi, et je lançais tous les hommes les uns contre les autres.

 For before [6440] these days [3117] there was [1961] no hire [7939] for man, [0120] nor any hire [7939] for beast; [0929] neither [was there any] peace [7965] to him that went out [3318] or came in [0935] because of the affliction: [6862] for I set [7971] all men [0120] every one [0376] against his neighbour. [7453]

 Mais maintenant je ne serai pas pour le reste de ce peuple comme aux premiers jours, dit YEHOVAH des armées.

 But now I [will] not [be] unto the residue [7611] of this people [5971] as in the former [7223] days, [3117] saith [5002] the LORD [3068] of hosts. [6635]

 Car la semence prospérera, la vigne rendra son fruit; la terre donnera son produit; les cieux donneront leur rosée, et je mettrai les restes de ce peuple en possession de toutes ces choses-là.

 For the seed [2233] [shall be] prosperous; [7965] the vine [1612] shall give [5414] her fruit, [6529] and the ground [0776] shall give [5414] her increase, [2981] and the heavens [8064] shall give [5414] their dew; [2919] and I will cause the remnant [7611] of this people [5971] to possess [5157] all these [things].

 Et comme vous avez été en malédiction parmi les nations, ô maison de Juda et maison d'Israël, ainsi je vous délivrerai, et vous serez en bénédiction. Ne craignez point, et que vos mains se fortifient!

 And it shall come to pass, [that] as ye were a curse [7045] among the heathen, [1471] O house [1004] of Judah, [3063] and house [1004] of Israel; [3478] so will I save [3467] you, and ye shall be a blessing: [1293] fear [3372] not, [but] let your hands [3027] be strong. [2388]

 Car ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Comme j'ai résolu de vous faire du mal, quand vos pères ont provoqué mon indignation, dit YEHOVAH des armées, et que je ne m'en suis point repenti,

 For thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] As I thought [2161] to punish [7489] you, when your fathers [0001] provoked me to wrath, [7107] saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] and I repented [5162] not:

 Ainsi j'ai résolu au contraire, en ces jours-ci, de faire du bien à Jérusalem et à la maison de Juda. Ne craignez point!

 So again [7725] have I thought [2161] in these days [3117] to do well [3190] unto Jerusalem [3389] and to the house [1004] of Judah: [3063] fear [3372] ye not.

 Voici les choses que vous devez faire: Dites la vérité, chacun à son prochain; rendez la justice dans vos portes, selon la vérité et pour la paix.

 These [are] the things [1697] that ye shall do; [6213] Speak [1696] ye every man [0376] the truth [0571] to his neighbour; [7453] execute [8199] the judgment [4941] of truth [0571] and peace [7965] in your gates: [8179]

 Et ne méditez point dans vos cœurs le mal l'un contre l'autre, et n'aimez point les faux serments, toutes ces choses que je hais, dit YEHOVAH.

 And let none [0376] of you imagine [2803] evil [7451] in your hearts [3824] against his neighbour; [7453] and love [0157] no false [8267] oath: [7621] for all these [are things] that I hate, [8130] saith [5002] the LORD. [3068]

 La Parole de YEHOVAH des armées me fut adressée, en ces mots:

 And the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] came unto me, saying, [0559]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Le jeûne du quatrième mois, le jeûne du cinquième, le jeûne du septième, et le jeûne du dixième mois deviendront pour la maison de Juda des jours de joie et d'allégresse, et des solennités heureuses. Mais aimez la vérité et la paix.

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] The fast [6685] of the fourth [7243] [month], and the fast [6685] of the fifth, [2549] and the fast [6685] of the seventh, [7637] and the fast [6685] of the tenth, [6224] shall be to the house [1004] of Judah [3063] joy [8342] and gladness, [8057] and cheerful [2896] feasts; [4150] therefore love [0157] the truth [0571] and peace. [7965]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: Il viendra encore des peuples et des habitants de plusieurs villes;

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] [It shall] yet [come to pass], that there shall come [0935] people, [5971] and the inhabitants [3427] of many [7227] cities: [5892]

 Et les habitants de l'une iront à l'autre, et diront: Allons, allons supplier YEHOVAH, et rechercher YEHOVAH des armées! Je veux y aller, moi aussi!

 And the inhabitants [3427] of one [0259] [city] shall go [1980] to another, [0259] saying, [0559] Let us go [3212] speedily [1980] to pray [2470] before [6440] the LORD, [3068] and to seek [1245] the LORD [3068] of hosts: [6635] I will go [3212] also.

 Et plusieurs peuples et de puissantes nations viendront chercher YEHOVAH des armées à Jérusalem, et y supplier YEHOVAH.

 Yea, many [7227] people [5971] and strong [6099] nations [1471] shall come [0935] to seek [1245] the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] in Jerusalem, [3389] and to pray [2470] before [6440] the LORD. [3068]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH des armées: En ces jours-là, dix hommes de toutes les langues des nations saisiront le pan de la robe d'un Judéen, et diront: Nous irons avec vous, car nous avons appris que Dieu est avec vous.

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] of hosts; [6635] In those days [3117] [it shall come to pass], that ten [6235] men [0582] shall take hold [2388] out of all languages [3956] of the nations, [1471] even shall take hold [2388] of the skirt [3671] of him that is a Jew, [0376] [3064] saying, [0559] We will go [3212] with you: for we have heard [8085] [that] God [0430] [is] with you.

 Oracle de la Parole de YEHOVAH contre le pays de Hadrac, et qui s'arrête sur Damas; - car YEHOVAH a l'œil sur les hommes, et sur toutes les tribus d'Israël; -

 The burden [4853] of the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] in the land [0776] of Hadrach, [2317] and Damascus [1834] [shall be] the rest [4496] thereof: when the eyes [5869] of man, [0120] as of all the tribes [7626] of Israel, [3478] [shall be] toward the LORD. [3068]

 Il s'arrête sur Hamath qui lui confine, sur Tyr et Sidon, de qui la sagesse est grande.

 And Hamath [2574] also shall border [1379] thereby; Tyrus, [6865] and Zidon, [6721] though it be very [3966] wise. [2449]

 Tyr s'est bâti une forteresse; elle a amassé l'argent comme la poussière, et l'or comme la boue des rues.

 And Tyrus [6865] did build [1129] herself a strong hold, [4692] and heaped up [6651] silver [3701] as the dust, [6083] and fine gold [2742] as the mire [2916] of the streets. [2351]

 Voici, le Seigneur s'en emparera; il jettera sa puissance dans la mer; et elle sera consumée par le feu.

 Behold, the Lord [0136] will cast her out, [3423] and he will smite [5221] her power [2428] in the sea; [3220] and she shall be devoured [0398] with fire. [0784]

 Askélon le verra, et elle craindra; Gaza aussi, et elle en sera toute tremblante; Ékron aussi, car son attente sera confondue: il n'y aura plus de roi à Gaza, et Askélon ne sera plus habitée.

 Ashkelon [0831] shall see [7200] [it], and fear; [3372] Gaza [5804] also [shall see it], and be very [3966] sorrowful, [2342] and Ekron; [6138] for her expectation [4007] shall be ashamed; [3001] and the king [4428] shall perish [0006] from Gaza, [5804] and Ashkelon [0831] shall not be inhabited.  L'étranger habitera dans Asdod, et je retrancherai l'orgueil du Philistin.

 And a bastard [4464] shall dwell [3427] in Ashdod, [0795] and I will cut off [3772] the pride [1347] of the Philistines. [6430]

 And I will take away [5493] his blood [1818] out of his mouth, [6310] and his abominations [8251] from between his teeth: [8127] but he that remaineth, [7604] even he, [shall be] for our God, [0430] and he shall be as a governor [0441] in Judah, [3063] and Ekron [6138] as a Jebusite. [2983]

 Et je camperai autour de ma maison, contre les armées, contre les allants et les venants; l'oppresseur ne passera plus sur eux; car maintenant je la regarde de mes yeux.

 And I will encamp [2583] about mine house [1004] because of the army, [4675] because of him that passeth by, [5674] and because of him that returneth: [7725] and no oppressor [5065] shall pass [5674] through them any more: for now have I seen [7200] with mine eyes. [5869]

 Réjouis-toi avec transports, fille de Sion! Jette des cris de joie, fille de Jérusalem! Voici, TON ROI vient à toi; il est juste et vainqueur, humble et monté sur un âne, sur le poulain d'une ânesse.

 Rejoice [1523] greatly, [3966] O daughter [1323] of Zion; [6726] shout, [7321] O daughter [1323] of Jerusalem: [3389] behold, thy King [4428] cometh [0935] unto thee: he [is] just, [6662] and having salvation; [3467] lowly, [6041] and riding [7392] upon an ass, [2543] and upon a colt [5895] the foal [1121] of an ass.  Et je retrancherai les chars d'Éphraïm, et les chevaux de Jérusalem, et l'arc de combat sera ôté. Il parlera de paix aux nations, il dominera d'une mer à l'autre, et du fleuve aux extrémités de la terre.

 And I will cut off [3772] the chariot [7393] from Ephraim, [0669] and the horse [5483] from Jerusalem, [3389] and the battle [4421] bow [7198] shall be cut off: [3772] and he shall speak [1696] peace [7965] unto the heathen: [1471] and his dominion [4915] [shall be] from sea [3220] [even] to sea, [3220] and from the river [5104] [even] to the ends [0657] of the earth.  Et pour toi, en vertu de ton alliance scellée par le sang, je retirerai tes captifs de la fosse où il n'y a point d'eau.

 Retournez au lieu fort, captifs qui avez espérance! Aujourd'hui même je le déclare, je te rendrai deux fois autant

 Car je bande Juda comme un arc; j'arme Éphraïm de sa flèche; je ferai lever tes enfants, ô Sion, contre tes enfants, ô Javan! Je te rendrai pareille à l'épée d'un homme vaillant.

 When I have bent [1869] Judah [3063] for me, filled [4390] the bow [7198] with Ephraim, [0669] and raised up [5782] thy sons, [1121] O Zion, [6726] against thy sons, [1121] O Greece, [3120] and made [7760] thee as the sword [2719] of a mighty man. [1368]

 YEHOVAH se montrera au-dessus d'eux; sa flèche partira comme l'éclair; le Seigneur, YEHOVAH, sonnera du cor, et s'avancera dans les tempêtes du midi.

 And the LORD [3068] shall be seen [7200] over them, and his arrow [2671] shall go forth [3318] as the lightning: [1300] and the Lord [0136] GOD [3069] shall blow [8628] the trumpet, [7782] and shall go [1980] with whirlwinds [5591] of the south. [8486]

 YEHOVAH des armées sera leur protecteur; ils dévoreront; ils fouleront aux pieds les pierres de fronde; ils boiront; ils feront du bruit comme étant ivres de vin; ils seront pleins comme le vase du sacrifice, comme les coins de l'autel.

 The LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] shall defend [1598] them; and they shall devour, [0398] and subdue [3533] with sling [7050] stones; [0068] and they shall drink, [8354] [and] make a noise [1993] as through wine; [3196] and they shall be filled [4390] like bowls, [4219] [and] as the corners [2106] of the altar.  Et YEHOVAH leur Dieu les délivrera en ce jour-là, comme le troupeau de son peuple; car ils seront comme les pierres d'un diadème brillant sur sa terre.

 And the LORD [3068] their God [0430] shall save [3467] them in that day [3117] as the flock [6629] of his people: [5971] for they [shall be as] the stones [0068] of a crown, [5145] lifted up as an ensign [5264] upon his land. [0127]

 Et quelle en sera la beauté, quel en sera l'éclat! Le froment fera croître les jeunes hommes, et le vin nouveau les jeunes filles.

 Demandez à YEHOVAH la pluie, au temps des pluies de l'arrière-saison. YEHOVAH produira des éclairs; il vous donnera une pluie abondante et à chacun de l'herbe dans son champ.

 Ask [7592] ye of the LORD [3068] rain [4306] in the time [6256] of the latter rain; [4456] [so] the LORD [3068] shall make [6213] bright clouds, [2385] and give [5414] them showers [4306] of rain, [1653] to every one [0376] grass [6212] in the field. [7704]

 Car les théraphim ont parlé faussement, et les devins ont vu le mensonge; ils profèrent des songes vains et donnent des consolations de néant. C'est pourquoi ils s'en vont comme des brebis; ils sont misérables faute de pasteur.

 For the idols [8655] have spoken [1696] vanity, [0205] and the diviners [7080] have seen [2372] a lie, [8267] and have told [1696] false [7723] dreams; [2472] they comfort [5162] in vain: [1892] therefore they went [5265] their way as a flock, [6629] they were troubled, [6031] because [there was] no shepherd.  Mine anger [0639] was kindled [2734] against the shepherds, [7462] and I punished [6485] the goats: [6260] for the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] hath visited [6485] his flock [5739] the house [1004] of Judah, [3063] and hath made [7760] them as his goodly [1935] horse [5483] in the battle. [4421]

 De lui vient LA PIERRE ANGULAIRE, de lui le pieu de la tente, de lui l'arc de combat; de lui sortiront tous les chefs ensemble.

 Out of him came forth [3318] the corner, [6438] out of him the nail, [3489] out of him the battle [4421] bow, [7198] out of him every oppressor [5065] together. [3162]

 Ils seront comme de vaillants hommes foulant la boue des rues dans la bataille; ils combattront, car YEHOVAH est avec eux, et les cavaliers sur leurs chevaux seront confondus.

 And they shall be as mighty [1368] [men], which tread down [0947] [their enemies] in the mire [2916] of the streets [2351] in the battle: [4421] and they shall fight, [3898] because the LORD [3068] [is] with them, and the riders [7392] on horses [5483] shall be confounded. [3001]

 Je fortifierai la maison de Juda; je sauverai la maison de Joseph; et je les rétablirai, car j'ai compassion d'eux; et ils seront comme si je ne les avais pas rejetés; car JE SUIS YEHOVAH leur Dieu, et je les exaucerai.

 And I will strengthen [1396] the house [1004] of Judah, [3063] and I will save [3467] the house [1004] of Joseph, [3130] and I will bring them again to place [3427] them; for I have mercy [7355] upon them: and they shall be as though [0834] I had not cast them off: [2186] for I [am] the LORD [3068] their God, [0430] and will hear [6030] them.

 Et Éphraïm sera comme un héros; leur cœur sera joyeux comme par le vin; leurs fils le verront, et se réjouiront; leur cœur s'égaiera en YEHOVAH.

 And [they of] Ephraim [0669] shall be like a mighty [1368] [man], and their heart [3820] shall rejoice [8055] as through wine: [3196] yea, their children [1121] shall see [7200] [it], and be glad; [8055] their heart [3820] shall rejoice [1523] in the LORD. [3068]

 Je sifflerai vers eux, et je les rassemblerai, car je les rachète; et ils seront nombreux comme ils l'ont été.

 I will hiss [8319] for them, and gather [6908] them; for I have redeemed [6299] them: and they shall increase [7235] as they have increased. [7235]

 Je les ai disséminés parmi les peuples, mais dans les pays éloignés ils se souviendront de moi; et ils vivront avec leurs enfants, et ils reviendront.

 And I will sow [2232] them among the people: [5971] and they shall remember [2142] me in far countries; [4801] and they shall live [2421] with their children, [1121] and turn again. [7725]

 I will bring them again [7725] also out of the land [0776] of Egypt, [4714] and gather [6908] them out of Assyria; [0804] and I will bring [0935] them into the land [0776] of Gilead [1568] and Lebanon; [3844] and [place] shall not be found [4672] for them.

 Il passera la mer étroite, et frappera les flots de la mer; et toutes les profondeurs du fleuve seront desséchées; l'orgueil de l'Assyrie sera abattu, et le sceptre de l'Égypte sera ôté.

 And he shall pass [5674] through the sea [3220] with affliction, [6869] and shall smite [5221] the waves [1530] in the sea, [3220] and all the deeps [4688] of the river [2975] shall dry up: [3001] and the pride [1347] of Assyria [0804] shall be brought down, [3381] and the sceptre [7626] of Egypt [4714] shall depart away.  Liban, ouvre tes portes, et que le feu dévore tes cèdres!

 Open [6605] thy doors, [1817] O Lebanon, [3844] that the fire [0784] may devour [0398] thy cedars. [0730]

 Cyprès, gémissez! Car le cèdre est tombé, car les plus magnifiques sont ravagés. Gémissez, chênes de Bassan! Car la forêt inaccessible est abattue.

 Howl, [3213] fir tree; [1265] for the cedar [0730] is fallen; [5307] because the mighty [0117] are spoiled: [7703] howl, [3213] O ye oaks [0437] of Bashan; [1316] for the forest [3293] of the vintage [1208] [1219] is come down. [3381]

 On entend gémir les pasteurs, car leur magnificence est dévastée; on entend rugir les lionceaux, car la parure du Jourdain est dévastée.

 [There is] a voice [6963] of the howling [3215] of the shepherds; [7462] for their glory [0155] is spoiled: [7703] a voice [6963] of the roaring [7581] of young lions; [3715] for the pride [1347] of Jordan [3383] is spoiled. [7703]

 Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH mon Dieu: Pais les brebis destinées à la boucherie,

 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [3068] my God; [0430] Feed [7462] the flock [6629] of the slaughter; [2028]

 Que leurs acheteurs tuent sans être coupables, et dont les vendeurs disent: "Béni soit YEHOVAH! je m'enrichis", et qu'aucun de leurs pasteurs n'épargne.

 Whose possessors [7069] slay [2026] them, and hold themselves not guilty: [0816] and they that sell [4376] them say, [0559] Blessed [1288] [be] the LORD; [3068] for I am rich: [6238] and their own shepherds [7462] pity [2550] them not.

 Car je n'épargnerai plus les habitants du pays, dit YEHOVAH. Et voici, je livrerai les hommes aux mains les uns des autres et aux mains de leur roi; ils écraseront le pays, et je ne délivrerai pas de leurs mains.

 For I will no more pity [2550] the inhabitants [3427] of the land, [0776] saith [5002] the LORD: [3068] but, lo, I will deliver [4672] the men [0120] every one [0376] into his neighbour's [7453] hand, [3027] and into the hand [3027] of his king: [4428] and they shall smite [3807] the land, [0776] and out of their hand [3027] I will not deliver [5337] [them].

 Je me mis donc à paître les brebis destinées à la boucherie, assurément les plus misérables du troupeau. Et je pris deux houlettes dont j'appelai l'une Grâce, et l'autre Servitude, et je fis paître les brebis.

 And I will feed [7462] the flock [6629] of slaughter, [2028] [even] you, [3651] O poor [6041] of the flock. [6629] And I took [3947] unto me two [8147] staves; [4731] the one [0259] I called [7121] Beauty, [5278] and the other [0259] I called [7121] Bands; [2254] and I fed [7462] the flock. [6629]

 Et je retranchai trois bergers en un seul mois; car mon âme s'était fatiguée d'eux, et leur âme aussi s'était dégoûtée de moi.

 Three [7969] shepherds [7462] also I cut off [3582] in one [0259] month; [3391] and my soul [5315] lothed [7114] them, and their soul [5315] also abhorred [0973] me.

 Et je dis: Je ne vous paîtrai plus! Que la brebis mourante, meure; que celle qui doit périr, périsse, et que celles qui restent, dévorent la chair l'une de l'autre.

 Then said [0559] I, I will not feed [7462] you: that that dieth, [4191] let it die; [4191] and that that is to be cut off, [3582] let it be cut off; [3582] and let the rest [7604] eat [0398] every one [0802] the flesh [1320] of another. [7468]

 Et je pris ma houlette Grâce, et je la brisai pour rompre mon alliance, que j'avais traitée avec tous les peuples.

 And I took [3947] my staff, [4731] [even] Beauty, [5278] and cut it asunder, [1438] that I might break [6565] my covenant [1285] which I had made [3772] with all the people. [5971]

 Elle fut rompue en ce jour-là, et ainsi les plus misérables du troupeau, qui regardaient à moi, reconnurent que c'était la Parole de YEHOVAH.

 And it was broken [6565] in that day: [3117] and so the poor [6041] of the flock [6629] that waited [8104] upon me knew [3045] that it [was] the word [1697] of the LORD. [3068]

 Et je leur dis: Si vous le trouvez bon, donnez-moi mon salaire; sinon, ne le donnez pas. Et ils pesèrent pour mon salaire trente pièces d'argent.

 And I said [0559] unto them, If ye think [5869] good, [2896] give [3051] [me] my price; [7939] and if not, forbear. [2308] So they weighed [8254] for my price [7939] thirty [7970] [pieces] of silver. [3701]

 Et YEHOVAH me dit: Jette-le au potier, ce prix honorable auquel j'ai été estimé par eux! Et je pris les trente pièces d'argent, et les jetai dans la maison de YEHOVAH, pour le potier.

 And the LORD [3068] said [0559] unto me, Cast [7993] it unto the potter: [3335] a goodly [0145] price [3366] that I was prised [3365] at of them. And I took [3947] the thirty [7970] [pieces] of silver, [3701] and cast [7993] them to the potter [3335] in the house [1004] of the LORD. [3068]

 Puis je brisai ma seconde houlette, Servitude, pour rompre la fraternité entre Juda et Israël.

 Then I cut asunder [1438] mine other [8145] staff, [4731] [even] Bands, [2254] that I might break [6565] the brotherhood [0264] between Judah [3063] and Israel. [3478]

 Puis YEHOVAH me dit: Prends encore les instruments d'un pasteur insensé.

 And the LORD [3068] said [0559] unto me, Take [3947] unto thee yet the instruments [3627] of a foolish [0196] shepherd. [7462]

 Car voici, je vais susciter dans le pays un pasteur qui ne visitera pas celles qui périssent, qui ne cherchera pas celle qui s'égare, qui ne guérira pas la blessée, et ne nourrira pas celle qui est saine; mais il mangera la chair des plus grasses, et il rompra leurs ongles.

 For, lo, I will raise up [6965] a shepherd [7462] in the land, [0776] [which] shall not visit [6485] those that be cut off, [3582] neither shall seek [1245] the young one, [5289] nor heal [7495] that that is broken, [7665] nor feed [3557] that that standeth [5324] still: but he shall eat [0398] the flesh [1320] of the fat, [1277] and tear their claws [6541] in pieces.  Malheur au pasteur de néant, qui abandonne le troupeau! Que l'épée tombe sur son bras et sur son œil droit! Que son bras se dessèche, et que son œil droit s'éteigne entièrement!

 Woe [1945] to the idol [0457] shepherd [7473] that leaveth [5800] the flock! [6629] the sword [2719] [shall be] upon his arm, [2220] and upon his right [3225] eye: [5869] his arm [2220] shall be clean [3001] dried up, [3001] and his right [3225] eye [5869] shall be utterly [3543] darkened. [3543]

La Parole de YEHOVAH prononcée sur Israël: Ainsi a dit YEHOVAH, qui a étendu les cieux, qui a fondé la terre, et qui a formé l'esprit de l'homme au-dedans de lui:

The burden [4853] of the word [1697] of the LORD [3068] for Israel, [3478] saith [5002] the LORD, [3068] which stretcheth forth [5186] the heavens, [8064] and layeth the foundation [3245] of the earth, [0776] and formeth [3335] the spirit [7307] of man [0120] within [7130] him.

Voici, je ferai de Jérusalem une coupe d'étourdissement pour tous les peuples d'alentour; et ce sera aussi contre Juda, dans le siège de Jérusalem.

Behold, I will make [7760] Jerusalem [3389] a cup [5592] of trembling [7478] unto all the people [5971] round about, [5439] when they shall be in the siege [4692] both against Judah [3063] [and] against Jerusalem. [3389]

En ce jour-là, je ferai de Jérusalem une pierre pesante pour tous les peuples; tous ceux qui en porteront le poids, seront meurtris, et toutes les nations de la terre s'assembleront contre elle.

And in that day [3117] will I make [7760] Jerusalem [3389] a burdensome [4614] stone [0068] for all people: [5971] all that burden [6006] themselves with it shall be cut [8295] in pieces, [8295] though all the people [1471] of the earth [0776] be gathered [0622] together against it.

En ce jour-là, dit YEHOVAH, je frapperai d'étourdissement tous les chevaux, et leurs cavaliers, de vertige; j'aurai les yeux ouverts sur la maison de Juda, et je frapperai d'aveuglement tous les chevaux des peuples.

In that day, [3117] saith [5002] the LORD, [3068] I will smite [5221] every horse [5483] with astonishment, [8541] and his rider [7392] with madness: [7697] and I will open [6491] mine eyes [5869] upon the house [1004] of Judah, [3063] and will smite [5221] every horse [5483] of the people [5971] with blindness. Et les chefs de Juda diront dans leur cœur: Les habitants de Jérusalem sont notre force, par YEHOVAH des armées, leur Dieu.

And the governors [0441] of Judah [3063] shall say [0559] in their heart, [3820] The inhabitants [3427] of Jerusalem [3389] [shall be] my strength [0556] in the LORD [3068] of hosts [6635] their God. [0430]

En ce jour-là, je ferai des chefs de Juda comme un brasier parmi du bois, comme une torche enflammée parmi des gerbes; ils dévoreront à droite et à gauche tous les peuples d'alentour, et Jérusalem demeurera habitée en sa place, à Jérusalem.

In that day [3117] will I make [7760] the governors [0441] of Judah [3063] like an hearth [3595] of fire [0784] among the wood, [6086] and like a torch [3940] of fire [0784] in a sheaf; [5995] and they shall devour [0398] all the people [5971] round about, [5439] on the right hand [3225] and on the left: [8040] and Jerusalem [3389] shall be inhabited [3427] again in her own place, [even] in Jerusalem. [3389]

Et YEHOVAH sauvera premièrement les tentes de Juda, afin que la gloire de la maison de David et la gloire des habitants de Jérusalem ne s'élève pas au-dessus de Juda.

The LORD [3068] also shall save [3467] the tents [0168] of Judah [3063] first, [7223] that the glory [8597] of the house [1004] of David [1732] and the glory [8597] of the inhabitants [3427] of Jerusalem [3389] do not magnify [1431] [themselves] against Judah. [3063]

En ce jour-là, YEHOVAH protégera les habitants de Jérusalem; et le faible parmi eux sera, en ce jour-là, comme David, et la maison de David sera comme Dieu, comme l'ange de YEHOVAH devant eux.

In that day [3117] shall the LORD [3068] defend [1598] the inhabitants [3427] of Jerusalem; [3389] and he that is feeble [3782] among them at that day [3117] shall be as David; [1732] and the house [1004] of David [1732] [shall be] as God, [0430] as the angel [4397] of the LORD [3068] before [6440] them.

Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, que je chercherai à détruire toutes les nations qui viendront contre Jérusalem.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [3117] [that] I will seek [1245] to destroy [8045] all the nations [1471] that come [0935] against Jerusalem. [3389]

Et je répandrai sur la maison de David, et sur les habitants de Jérusalem, l'Esprit de grâce et de supplications: ils regarderont vers moi, celui qu'ils ont percé; ils en feront le deuil comme on fait le deuil d'un fils unique, et ils pleureront amèrement sur lui, comme on pleure sur un premier-né.

And I will pour [8210] upon the house [1004] of David, [1732] and upon the inhabitants [3427] of Jerusalem, [3389] the spirit [7307] of grace [2580] and of supplications: [8469] and they shall look [5027] upon me whom they have pierced, [1856] and they shall mourn [5594] for him, as one mourneth [4553] for [his] only [3173] [son], and shall be in bitterness [4843] for him, as one that is in bitterness [4843] for [his] firstborn. En ce jour-là, le deuil sera grand à Jérusalem, tel que fut le deuil d'Hadadrimmon dans la vallée de Méguiddon.

In that day [3117] shall there be a great [1431] mourning [4553] in Jerusalem, [3389] as the mourning [4553] of Hadadrimmon [1910] in the valley [1237] of Megiddon. [4023]

La famille de la maison de Lévi à part, et leurs femmes à part; la famille des Shiméites à part, et leurs femmes à part;

The family [4940] of the house [1004] of Levi [3878] apart, and their wives [0802] apart; the family [4940] of Shimei [8097] apart, and their wives [0802] apart;

Toutes les autres familles, chaque famille à part, et leurs femmes à part.

All the families [4940] that remain, [7604] every family [4940] [4940] apart, and their wives [0802] apart.

En ce jour-là, il y a aura une source ouverte à la maison de David et aux habitants de Jérusalem, pour le péché et pour la souillure.

In that day [3117] there shall be a fountain [4726] opened [6605] to the house [1004] of David [1732] and to the inhabitants [3427] of Jerusalem [3389] for sin [2403] and for uncleanness. [5079]

Il arrivera aussi, en ce jour-là, dit YEHOVAH des armées, que je retrancherai du pays les noms des idoles, et il n'en sera plus fait mention; et j'ôterai aussi du pays les prophètes et l'esprit impur.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [3117] saith [5002] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] [that] I will cut off [3772] the names [8034] of the idols [6091] out of the land, [0776] and they shall no more be remembered: [2142] and also I will cause the prophets [5030] and the unclean [2932] spirit [7307] to pass [5674] out of the land. [0776]

Et il arrivera que si quelqu'un prophétise encore, son père et sa mère qui l'auront engendré lui diront: Tu ne vivras plus, car tu dis des mensonges au nom de YEHOVAH! Et son père et sa mère qui l'auront engendré, le transperceront quand il prophétisera.

And it shall come to pass, [that] when any [0376] shall yet prophesy, [5012] then his father [0001] and his mother [0517] that begat [3205] him shall say [0559] unto him, Thou shalt not live; [2421] for thou speakest [1696] lies [8267] in the name [8034] of the LORD: [3068] and his father [0001] and his mother [0517] that begat [3205] him shall thrust [1856] him through when he prophesieth. En ce jour-là, les prophètes seront confus, chacun de sa vision, quand ils prophétiseront; et ils ne se revêtiront plus du manteau de poil pour mentir.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [3117] [that] the prophets [5030] shall be ashamed [0954] every one [0376] of his vision, [2384] when he hath prophesied; [5012] neither shall they wear [3847] a rough [8181] garment [0155] to deceive: [3584]

Et chacun d'eux dira: Je ne suis pas prophète; je suis un laboureur, car on m'a acheté dès ma jeunesse.

But he shall say, [0559] I [am] no prophet, [5030] I [am] an husbandman; [0376] [5647] [0127] for man [0120] taught me to keep [7069] cattle from my youth. [5271]

Et quand on lui dira: Qu'est-ce que ces blessures à tes mains? il répondra: C'est dans la maison de mes amis qu'on me les a faites.

And [one] shall say [0559] unto him, What [are] these wounds [4347] in thine hands? [3027] Then he shall answer, [0559] [Those] with which I was wounded [5221] [in] the house [1004] of my friends. [0157]

Épée, réveille-toi contre mon Pasteur, contre l'homme qui est mon compagnon, dit YEHOVAH des armées! Frappe le Pasteur, et les brebis seront dispersées; et je tournerai ma main contre les petits.

Awake, [5782] O sword, [2719] against my shepherd, [7462] and against the man [1397] [that is] my fellow, [5997] saith [5002] the LORD [3068] of hosts: [6635] smite [5221] the shepherd, [7462] and the sheep [6629] shall be scattered: [6327] and I will turn [7725] mine hand [3027] upon the little ones. [6819]

Et il arrivera dans tout le pays, dit YEHOVAH, que deux parties seront retranchées et périront, mais la troisième y demeurera de reste.

And it shall come to pass, [that] in all the land, [0776] saith [5002] the LORD, [3068] two [8147] parts [6310] therein shall be cut off [3772] [and] die; [1478] but the third [7992] shall be left [3498] therein.

Et je ferai passer cette troisième partie au feu; je les affinerai comme on affine l'argent, et je les éprouverai comme on éprouve l'or. Ceux-là invoqueront mon nom, et je les exaucerai. Je dirai: C'est mon peuple! et ils diront: YEHOVAH est mon Dieu!

And I will bring [0935] the third part [7992] through the fire, [0784] and will refine [6884] them as silver [3701] is refined, [6884] and will try [0974] them as gold [2091] is tried: [0974] they shall call [7121] on my name, [8034] and I will hear [6030] them: I will say, [0559] It [is] my people: [5971] and they shall say, [0559] The LORD [3068] [is] my God. [0430]

Voici, un jour vient pour YEHOVAH, où tes dépouilles seront partagées au milieu de toi.

Behold, the day [3117] of the LORD [3068] cometh, [0935] and thy spoil [7998] shall be divided [2505] in the midst [7130] of thee.

J'assemblerai toutes les nations à Jérusalem pour lui faire la guerre; et la ville sera prise; les maisons seront pillées, les femmes violées, et la moitié de la ville s'en ira en captivité. Mais le reste du peuple ne sera pas retranché de la ville.

For I will gather [0622] all nations [1471] against Jerusalem [3389] to battle; [4421] and the city [5892] shall be taken, [3920] and the houses [1004] rifled, [8155] and the women [0802] ravished; [7901] and half [2677] of the city [5892] shall go forth [3318] into captivity, [1473] and the residue [3499] of the people [5971] shall not be cut off [3772] from the city. [5892]

Et YEHOVAH sortira, et combattra contre ces nations, comme lorsqu'il combattit au jour de la bataille.

Then shall the LORD [3068] go forth, [3318] and fight [3898] against those nations, [1471] as when [3117] he fought [3898] in the day [3117] of battle. [7128]

Ses pieds se poseront, en ce jour-là, sur la montagne des Oliviers qui est en face de Jérusalem, à l'orient; et la montagne des Oliviers se fendra par le milieu, à l'orient et à l'occident, et il s'y fera une très grande vallée; et la moitié de la montagne se retirera vers l'Aquilon et l'autre moitié vers le midi.

And his feet [7272] shall stand [5975] in that day [3117] upon the mount [2022] of Olives, [2132] which [is] before [6440] Jerusalem [3389] on the east, [6924] and the mount [2022] of Olives [2132] shall cleave [1234] in the midst [2677] thereof toward the east [4217] and toward the west, [3220] [and there shall be] a very [3966] great [1419] valley; [1516] and half [2677] of the mountain [2022] shall remove [4185] toward the north, [6828] and half [2677] of it toward the s

Et vous fuirez dans la vallée de mes montagnes; car la vallée des montagnes atteindra jusqu'à Atsal; vous fuirez, comme vous vous enfuîtes devant le tremblement de terre, aux jours d'Ozias, roi de Juda. Alors YEHOVAH, mon Dieu, viendra, et tous les saints seront avec toi.

And ye shall flee [5127] [to] the valley [1516] of the mountains; [2022] for the valley [1516] of the mountains [2022] shall reach [5060] unto Azal: [0682] yea, ye shall flee, [5127] like as ye fled [5127] from before [6440] the earthquake [7494] in the days [3117] of Uzziah [5818] king [4428] of Judah: [3063] and the LORD [3068] my God [0430] shall come, [0935] [and] all the saints [6918] with thee.

Et en ce jour-là, il n'y aura pas de lumière, mais les lumières précieuses se retireront.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [3117] [that] the light [0216] shall not be clear, [3368] [nor] dark: [7087] [7087]

Ce sera un jour unique, connu de YEHOVAH; il ne sera ni jour, ni nuit, mais sur le soir il y aura de la lumière.

But it shall be one [0259] day [3117] which shall be known [3045] to the LORD, [3068] not day, [3117] nor night: [3915] but it shall come to pass, [that] at evening [6153] time [6256] it shall be light. [0216]

En ce jour-là, des eaux vives sortiront de Jérusalem, une moitié vers la mer d'Orient et l'autre moitié vers la mer d'Occident; et ce sera en été comme en hiver.

And it shall be in that day, [3117] [that] living [2416] waters [4325] shall go out [3318] from Jerusalem; [3389] half [2677] of them toward the former [6931] sea, [3220] and half [2677] of them toward the hinder [0314] sea: [3220] in summer [7019] and in winter [2779] shall it be.

YEHOVAH sera Roi de toute la terre; en ce jour-là, il n'y aura qu'un seul YEHOVAH, et son nom ne sera qu'un seul.

And the LORD [3068] shall be king [4428] over all the earth: [0776] in that day [3117] shall there be one [0259] LORD, [3068] and his name [8034] one. [0259]

Et toute la terre deviendra comme la plaine, de Guéba jusqu'à Rimmon, au midi de Jérusalem; et la ville sera élevée et demeurera en sa place, de la porte de Benjamin jusqu'au lieu de la première porte, jusqu'à la porte des angles, et de la tour de Hananéel jusqu'aux pressoirs du roi.

All the land [0776] shall be turned [5437] as a plain [6160] from Geba [1387] to Rimmon [7417] south [5045] of Jerusalem: [3389] and it shall be lifted up, [7213] and inhabited [3427] in her place, from Benjamin's [1144] gate [8179] unto the place [4725] of the first [7223] gate, [8179] unto the corner [6434] gate, [8179] and [from] the tower [4026] of Hananeel [2606] unto the king's [4428] winepresses. [3342]

On y habitera, et il n'y aura plus d'interdit; mais Jérusalem demeurera en sûreté.

And [men] shall dwell [3427] in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; [2764] but Jerusalem [3389] shall be safely [0983] inhabited. [3427]

Et voici quelle sera la plaie dont YEHOVAH frappera tous les peuples qui auront combattu contre Jérusalem: il fera tomber leur chair en pourriture pendant qu'ils seront debout sur leurs pieds, leurs yeux se fondront dans leur orbite, et leur langue se fondra dans leur bouche.

And this shall be the plague [4046] wherewith the LORD [3068] will smite [5062] all the people [5971] that have fought [6633] against Jerusalem; [3389] Their flesh [1320] shall consume away [4743] while they stand [5975] upon their feet, [7272] and their eyes [5869] shall consume away [4743] in their holes, [2356] and their tongue [3956] shall consume away [4743] in their mouth. [6310]

Et, en ce jour-là, il y aura parmi eux un grand trouble, venant de YEHOVAH; ils saisiront la main l'un de l'autre, et lèveront la main l'un contre l'autre.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [3117] [that] a great [7227] tumult [4103] from the LORD [3068] shall be among them; and they shall lay hold [2388] every one [0376] on the hand [3027] of his neighbour, [7453] and his hand [3027] shall rise up [5927] against the hand [3027] of his neighbour. [7453]

Juda aussi combattra à Jérusalem; et on amassera les richesses de toutes les nations d'alentour: de l'or, de l'argent et des vêtements en très grand nombre.

And Judah [3063] also shall fight [3898] at Jerusalem; [3389] and the wealth [2428] of all the heathen [1471] round about [5439] shall be gathered [0622] together, gold, [2091] and silver, [3701] and apparel, [0899] in great [3966] abundance. [7230]

Et la même plaie sera sur les chevaux, sur les mulets, sur les chameaux, sur les ânes et sur toutes les bêtes qui seront dans ces camps-là, une plaie pareille à l'autre.

And so shall be the plague [4046] of the horse, [5483] of the mule, [6505] of the camel, [1581] and of the ass, [2543] and of all the beasts [0929] that shall be in these [1992] tents, [4264] as this plague. [4046]

Mais tous ceux qui resteront, de toutes les nations venues contre Jérusalem, monteront chaque année pour se prosterner devant le Roi, YEHOVAH des armées, et pour célébrer la fête des tabernacles.

And it shall come to pass, [that] every one that is left [3498] of all the nations [1471] which came [0935] against Jerusalem [3389] shall even go up [5927] from [1767] year [8141] to year [8141] to worship [7812] the King, [4428] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] and to keep [2287] the feast [2282] of tabernacles. [5521]

Et si quelqu'une des familles de la terre ne monte pas à Jérusalem pour se prosterner devant le Roi, YEHOVAH des armées, il n'y aura point de pluie sur elle.

And it shall be, [that] whoso will not come up [5927] of [all] the families [4940] of the earth [0776] unto Jerusalem [3389] to worship [7812] the King, [4428] the LORD [3068] of hosts, [6635] even upon them shall be no rain. [1653]

Si la famille d'Égypte ne monte pas, si elle ne vient pas, il n'y en aura pas non plus sur elle; elle sera frappée de la plaie dont YEHOVAH frappera les nations qui ne seront pas montées pour célébrer la fête des Tabernacles.

And if the family [4940] of Egypt [4714] go not up, [5927] and come [0935] not, that [have] no [rain]; there shall be the plague, [4046] wherewith the LORD [3068] will smite [5062] the heathen [1471] that come not up [5927] to keep [2287] the feast [2282] of tabernacles. [5521]

Telle sera la peine du péché de l'Égypte et du péché de toutes les nations qui ne seront point montées pour célébrer la fête des Tabernacles.

This shall be the punishment [2403] of Egypt, [4714] and the punishment [2403] of all nations [1471] that come not up [5927] to keep [2287] the feast [2282] of tabernacles. [5521]

En ce jour-là, il sera écrit sur les clochettes des chevaux: Sainteté à YEHOVAH. Et les chaudières de la maison de YEHOVAH seront comme les coupes devant l'autel.

In that day [3117] shall there be upon the bells [4698] of the horses, [5483] HOLINESS [6944] UNTO THE LORD; [3068] and the pots [5518] in the LORD'S [3068] house [1004] shall be like the bowls [4219] before [6440] the altar. [4196]

Et toute chaudière à Jérusalem et dans Juda sera consacrée à YEHOVAH des armées; tous ceux qui sacrifieront, viendront en prendre pour y cuire des viandes; et il n'y aura plus de Cananéen dans la maison de YEHOVAH des armées, en ce jour-là.

Yea, every pot [5518] in Jerusalem [3389] and in Judah [3063] shall be holiness [6944] unto the LORD [3068] of hosts: [6635] and all they that sacrifice [2076] shall come [0935] and take [3947] of them, and seethe [1310] therein: and in that day [3117] there shall be no more the Canaanite [3669] in the house [1004] of the LORD [3068] of hosts.
