3 John 1: 1-14

1  The³⁵⁸⁸ elder⁴²⁴⁵ unto the³⁵⁸⁸ well-beloved²⁷ Gaius,¹⁰⁵⁰ whom³⁷³⁹ I¹⁴⁷³ love²⁵ in¹⁷²² the truth.²²⁵

2  Beloved,²⁷ I wish²¹⁷² above⁴⁰¹² all things³⁹⁵⁶ that thou⁴⁵⁷¹ mayest prosper²¹³⁷ and²⁵³² be in health,⁵¹⁹⁸ even as²⁵³¹ thy⁴⁶⁷⁵ soul⁵⁵⁹⁰ prospereth.²¹³⁷

3  For¹⁰⁶³ I rejoiced⁵⁴⁶³ greatly,³⁰²⁹ when the brethren⁸⁰ came²⁰⁶⁴ and²⁵³² testified³¹⁴⁰ of the³⁵⁸⁸ truth²²⁵ that is in thee,⁴⁶⁷⁵ even as²⁵³¹ thou⁴⁷⁷¹ walkest⁴⁰⁴³ in¹⁷²² the truth.²²⁵

4  I have²¹⁹² no³⁷⁵⁶ greater³¹⁸⁶ joy⁵⁴⁷⁹ than⁵¹³⁰ to²⁴⁴³ hear¹⁹¹ that my¹⁶⁹⁹ children⁵⁰⁴³ walk⁴⁰⁴³ in¹⁷²² truth.²²⁵

5  Beloved,²⁷ thou doest⁴¹⁶⁰ faithfully⁴¹⁰³ whatsoever^{3739 1437} thou doest²⁰³⁸ to¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ brethren,⁸⁰ and²⁵³² to¹⁵¹⁹ strangers;³⁵⁸¹

6  Which³⁷³⁹ have borne witness³¹⁴⁰ of thy⁴⁶⁷⁵ charity²⁶ before¹⁷⁹⁹ the church:¹⁵⁷⁷ whom³⁷³⁹ if thou bring forward on their journey⁴³¹¹ after a godly sort,^{516 2316} thou shalt do⁴¹⁶⁰ well:²⁵⁷³

7  Because¹⁰⁶³ that for his name's sake^{5228 846 3686} they went forth,¹⁸³¹ taking²⁹⁸³ nothing³³⁶⁷ of⁵⁷⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ Gentiles.¹⁴⁸⁴

8  We²²⁴⁹ therefore³⁷⁶⁷ ought³⁷⁸⁴ to receive⁶¹⁸ such,⁵¹⁰⁸ that²⁴⁴³ we might be¹⁰⁹⁶ fellow helpers⁴⁹⁰⁴ to the³⁵⁸⁸ truth.²²⁵

9  I wrote¹¹²⁵ unto the³⁵⁸⁸ church:¹⁵⁷⁷ but²³⁵ Diotrephes,¹³⁶¹ who loveth to have the preeminence⁵³⁸³ among them,⁸⁴⁸ receiveth¹⁹²⁶ us²²⁴⁸ not.³⁷⁵⁶

10  Wherefore,^{1223 5124} if¹⁴³⁷ I come,²⁰⁶⁴ I will remember⁵²⁷⁹ his⁸⁴⁶ deeds²⁰⁴¹ which³⁷³⁹ he doth,⁴¹⁶⁰ prating against⁵³⁹⁶ us²²⁴⁸ with malicious⁴¹⁹⁰ words:³⁰⁵⁶ and²⁵³² not³³⁶¹ content⁷¹⁴ therewith,^{1909 5125} neither³⁷⁷⁷ doth he⁸⁴⁸ himself receive¹⁹²⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ brethren,⁸⁰ and²⁵³² forbiddeth²⁹⁶⁷ them that would,¹⁰¹⁴ and²⁵³² casteth¹⁵⁴⁴ them out of¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ church.¹⁵⁷⁷

11  Beloved,²⁷ follow³⁴⁰¹ not³³⁶¹ that which is evil,²⁵⁵⁶ but²³⁵ that which is good.¹⁸ He that doeth good¹⁵ is²⁰⁷⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ God:²³¹⁶ but¹¹⁶¹ he that doeth evil²⁵⁵⁴ hath not³⁷⁵⁶ seen³⁷⁰⁸ God.²³¹⁶

12  Demetrius¹²¹⁶ hath good report³¹⁴⁰ of⁵²⁵⁹ all³⁹⁵⁶ men, and²⁵³² of⁵²⁵⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ truth²²⁵ itself:⁸⁴⁶ yea,¹¹⁶¹ and²⁵³² we²²⁴⁹ also bear record;³¹⁴⁰ and²⁵³² ye know¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ our²²⁵⁷ record³¹⁴¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ true.²²⁷

13  I had²¹⁹² many things⁴¹⁸³ to write,¹¹²⁵ but²³⁵ I will²³⁰⁹ not³⁷⁵⁶ with¹²²³ ink³¹⁸⁸ and²⁵³² pen²⁵⁶³ write¹¹²⁵ unto thee:⁴⁶⁷¹

14  But¹¹⁶¹ I trust¹⁶⁷⁹ I shall shortly²¹¹² see¹⁴⁹² thee,⁴⁵⁷¹ and²⁵³² we shall speak²⁹⁸⁰ face to face.^{4750 4314 4750} Peace¹⁵¹⁵ be to thee.⁴⁶⁷¹ Our friends⁵³⁸⁴ salute⁷⁸² thee.⁴⁵⁷¹ Greet⁷⁸² the³⁵⁸⁸ friends⁵³⁸⁴ by²⁵⁹⁶ name.³⁶⁸⁶
