Chapître 138

1

[A Psalm] of David.
I will praise⁵⁵ thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise¹⁷ unto thee.

2

I will worship¹⁰¹ toward thy holy temple, and praise⁵⁵ thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified⁵² thy word above all thy name.

In the day when I cried¹ thou answeredst⁴ me, [and] strengthenedst⁵⁵ me [with] strength in my soul.

All the kings of the earth shall praise⁵⁵ thee, O LORD, when they hear¹ the words of thy mouth.

Yea, they shall sing⁴ in the ways of the LORD: for great [is] the glory of the LORD.

Though the LORD [be] high,⁶ yet hath he respect⁴ unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth⁴ afar off.

7

Though I walk⁴ in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive¹⁷ me: thou shalt stretch forth⁴ thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies,⁶ and thy right hand shall save⁵⁵ me.

The LORD will perfect⁴ [that which] concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, [endureth] for ever: forsake⁵⁵ not the works of thine own hands.
