1

A Song of degrees.
When the LORD turned again² the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.⁶

2

Then was our mouth filled¹¹ with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said⁴ they among the heathen, The LORD hath done² great things⁵² for them.

The LORD hath done² great things⁵² for us; [whereof] we are glad.

Turn again³ our captivity, ⁷⁶²² O LORD, as the streams in the south.

They that sow⁶ in tears shall reap⁴ in joy.

He that goeth⁴ forth² and weepeth,² bearing⁶ precious seed, shall doubtless² come⁴ again with rejoicing, bringing⁶ his sheaves [with him].
