Chapître 96

1

O sing³ unto the LORD a new song: sing³ unto the LORD, all the earth.

2

 Sing³ unto the LORD, bless¹⁶ his name; shew forth¹⁶ his salvation from day to day.

3

 Declare¹⁶ his glory among the heathen, his wonders¹² among all people.

4

For the LORD [is] great, and greatly to be praised:³⁰ he [is] to be feared¹² above all gods.

5

For all the gods of the nations [are] idols: but the LORD made¹ the heavens.

6

 Honour and majesty [are] before him: strength and beauty [are] in his sanctuary.

7

 Give³ unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give³ unto the LORD glory and strength.

8

 Give³ unto the LORD the glory [due unto] his name: bring³ an offering, and come³ into his courts.

9

O worship¹⁰⁰ the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear³ before him, all the earth.

10

 Say³ among the heathen [that] the LORD reigneth:¹ the world also shall be established¹¹ that it shall not be moved:¹¹ he shall judge⁴ the people righteously.

11

Let the heavens rejoice,⁴ and let the earth be glad;⁴ let the sea roar,⁴ and the fulness thereof.

12

Let the field be joyful,⁴ and all that [is] therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice¹⁷

13

 Before the LORD: for he cometh,¹ for he cometh¹ to judge² the earth: he shall judge⁴ the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
