Le Livre des Psaumes
Chapître 88
- 1
- A Song [or] Psalm for the sons of Korah, to the chief Musician18 upon Mahalath Leannoth,15 Maschil 7919 56 of Heman the Ezrahite.
O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried1 day [and] night before thee:
- 2
- Let my prayer come4 before thee: incline54 thine ear unto my cry;
- 3
- For my soul is full1 of troubles: and my life draweth nigh52 unto the grave.
- 4
- I am counted8 with them that go down6 into the pit: I am as a man [that hath] no strength:
- 5
- Free among the dead,5 like the slain that lie6 in the grave, whom thou rememberest1 no more: and they are cut off8 from thy hand.
- 6
- Thou hast laid1 me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.
- 7
- Thy wrath lieth hard1 upon me, and thou hast afflicted14 [me] with all thy waves. Selah.
- 8
- Thou hast put away mine acquaintance30 far52 from me; thou hast made1 me an abomination unto them: [I am] shut up,7 and I cannot come forth.4
- 9
- Mine eye mourneth1 by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called1 daily upon thee, I have stretched out14 my hands unto thee.
- 10
- Wilt thou shew4 wonders to the dead?5 shall the dead arise4 [and] praise55 thee? Selah.
- 11
- Shall thy lovingkindness be declared29 in the grave? [or] thy faithfulness in destruction?
- 12
- Shall thy wonders be known11 in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
- 13
- But unto thee have I cried,14 O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent17 thee.
- 14
- LORD, why castest thou off4 my soul? [why] hidest55 thou thy face from me?
- 15
- I [am] afflicted and ready to die6 from [my] youth up: [while] I suffer1 thy terrors I am distracted.4
- 16
- Thy fierce wrath goeth over1 me; thy terrors have cut me off.40
- 17
- They came round about1 me daily like water; they compassed52 me about together.
- 18
- Lover6 and friend hast thou put far52 from me, [and] mine acquaintance30 into darkness.
