1 ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ μὴ εἰσερχόμενος διὰ τῆς θύρας εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τῶν προβάτων ἀλλὰ ἀναβαίνων ἀλλαχόθεν ἐκεῖνος κλέπτης ἐστὶν καὶ λῃστής·

2 ὁ δὲ εἰσερχόμενος διὰ τῆς θύρας ποιμήν ἐστιν τῶν προβάτων.

3 τούτῳ ὁ θυρωρὸς ἀνοίγει, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκούει, καὶ τὰ ἴδια πρόβατα φωνεῖ κατ᾽ ὄνομα καὶ ἐξάγει αὐτά.

4 ὅταν τὰ ἴδια πάντα ἐκβάλῃ, ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν πορεύεται, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα αὐτῶ ἀκολουθεῖ, ὅτι οἴδασιν τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ·

5 ἀλλοτρίῳ δὲ οὐ μὴ ἀκολουθήσουσιν ἀλλὰ φεύξονται ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ, ὅτι οὐκ οἴδασιν τῶν ἀλλοτρίων τὴν φωνήν.

6 ταύτην τὴν παροιμίαν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς· ἐκεῖνοι δὲ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τίνα ἦν ἃ ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς.

7 εἶπεν οὗν πάλιν ὁ ἰησοῦς, ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ θύρα τῶν προβάτων.

8 πάντες ὅσοι ἦλθον [πρὸ ἐμοῦ] κλέπται εἰσὶν καὶ λῃσταί· ἀλλ᾽ οὐκ ἤκουσαν αὐτῶν τὰ πρόβατα.

9 ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ θύρα· δι᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐάν τις εἰσέλθῃ σωθήσεται καὶ εἰσελεύσεται καὶ ἐξελεύσεται καὶ νομὴν εὑρήσει.

10 ὁ κλέπτης οὐκ ἔρχεται εἰ μὴ ἵνα κλέψῃ καὶ θύσῃ καὶ ἀπολέσῃ· ἐγὼ ἦλθον ἵνα ζωὴν ἔχωσιν καὶ περισσὸν ἔχωσιν.

11 ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ποιμὴν ὁ καλός· ὁ ποιμὴν ὁ καλὸς τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ τίθησιν ὑπὲρ τῶν προβάτων·

12 ὁ μισθωτὸς καὶ οὐκ ὢν ποιμήν, οὖ οὐκ ἔστιν τὰ πρόβατα ἴδια, θεωρεῖ τὸν λύκον ἐρχόμενον καὶ ἀφίησιν τὰ πρόβατα καὶ φεύγει _ καὶ ὁ λύκος ἁρπάζει αὐτὰ καὶ σκορπίζει _

13 ὅτι μισθωτός ἐστιν καὶ οὐ μέλει αὐτῶ περὶ τῶν προβάτων.

14 ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ποιμὴν ὁ καλός, καὶ γινώσκω τὰ ἐμὰ καὶ γινώσκουσί με τὰ ἐμά,

15 καθὼς γινώσκει με ὁ πατὴρ κἀγὼ γινώσκω τὸν πατέρα· καὶ τὴν ψυχήν μου τίθημι ὑπὲρ τῶν προβάτων.

16 καὶ ἄλλα πρόβατα ἔχω ἃ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τῆς αὐλῆς ταύτης· κἀκεῖνα δεῖ με ἀγαγεῖν, καὶ τῆς φωνῆς μου ἀκούσουσιν, καὶ γενήσονται μία ποίμνη, εἷς ποιμήν.

17 διὰ τοῦτό με ὁ πατὴρ ἀγαπᾷ ὅτι ἐγὼ τίθημι τὴν ψυχήν μου, ἵνα πάλιν λάβω αὐτήν.

18 οὐδεὶς αἴρει αὐτὴν ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ, ἀλλ᾽ ἐγὼ τίθημι αὐτὴν ἀπ᾽ ἐμαυτοῦ. ἐξουσίαν ἔχω θεῖναι αὐτήν, καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἔχω πάλιν λαβεῖν αὐτήν· ταύτην τὴν ἐντολὴν ἔλαβον παρὰ τοῦ πατρός μου.

19 σχίσμα πάλιν ἐγένετο ἐν τοῖς ἰουδαίοις διὰ τοὺς λόγους τούτους.

20 ἔλεγον δὲ πολλοὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν, δαιμόνιον ἔχει καὶ μαίνεται· τί αὐτοῦ ἀκούετε;

21 ἄλλοι ἔλεγον, ταῦτα τὰ ῥήματα οὐκ ἔστιν δαιμονιζομένου· μὴ δαιμόνιον δύναται τυφλῶν ὀφθαλμοὺς ἀνοῖξαι;

22 ἐγένετο τότε τὰ ἐγκαίνια ἐν τοῖς ἱεροσολύμοις· χειμὼν ἦν,

23 καὶ περιεπάτει ὁ ἰησοῦς ἐν τῶ ἱερῶ ἐν τῇ στοᾷ τοῦ σολομῶνος.

24 ἐκύκλωσαν οὗν αὐτὸν οἱ ἰουδαῖοι καὶ ἔλεγον αὐτῶ, ἕως πότε τὴν ψυχὴν ἡμῶν αἴρεις; εἰ σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστός, εἰπὲ ἡμῖν παρρησίᾳ.

25 ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, εἶπον ὑμῖν καὶ οὐ πιστεύετε· τὰ ἔργα ἃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ ἐν τῶ ὀνόματι τοῦ πατρός μου ταῦτα μαρτυρεῖ περὶ ἐμοῦ·

26 ἀλλὰ ὑμεῖς οὐ πιστεύετε, ὅτι οὐκ ἐστὲ ἐκ τῶν προβάτων τῶν ἐμῶν.

27 τὰ πρόβατα τὰ ἐμὰ τῆς φωνῆς μου ἀκούουσιν, κἀγὼ γινώσκω αὐτά, καὶ ἀκολουθοῦσίν μοι,

28 κἀγὼ δίδωμι αὐτοῖς ζωὴν αἰώνιον, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀπόλωνται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, καὶ οὐχ ἁρπάσει τις αὐτὰ ἐκ τῆς χειρός μου.

29 ὁ πατήρ μου ὃ δέδωκέν μοι πάντων μεῖζόν ἐστιν, καὶ οὐδεὶς δύναται ἁρπάζειν ἐκ τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ πατρός.

30 ἐγὼ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἕν ἐσμεν.

31 ἐβάστασαν πάλιν λίθους οἱ ἰουδαῖοι ἵνα λιθάσωσιν αὐτόν.

32 ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, πολλὰ ἔργα καλὰ ἔδειξα ὑμῖν ἐκ τοῦ πατρός· διὰ ποῖον αὐτῶν ἔργον ἐμὲ λιθάζετε;

33 ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῶ οἱ ἰουδαῖοι, περὶ καλοῦ ἔργου οὐ λιθάζομέν σε ἀλλὰ περὶ βλασφημίας, καὶ ὅτι σὺ ἄνθρωπος ὢν ποιεῖς σεαυτὸν θεόν.

34 ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, οὐκ ἔστιν γεγραμμένον ἐν τῶ νόμῳ ὑμῶν ὅτι ἐγὼ εἶπα, θεοί ἐστε;

35 εἰ ἐκείνους εἶπεν θεοὺς πρὸς οὓς ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ ἐγένετο, καὶ οὐ δύναται λυθῆναι ἡ γραφή,

36 ὃν ὁ πατὴρ ἡγίασεν καὶ ἀπέστειλεν εἰς τὸν κόσμον ὑμεῖς λέγετε ὅτι βλασφημεῖς, ὅτι εἶπον, υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ εἰμι;

37 εἰ οὐ ποιῶ τὰ ἔργα τοῦ πατρός μου, μὴ πιστεύετέ μοι·

38 εἰ δὲ ποιῶ, κἂν ἐμοὶ μὴ πιστεύητε, τοῖς ἔργοις πιστεύετε, ἵνα γνῶτε καὶ γινώσκητε ὅτι ἐν ἐμοὶ ὁ πατὴρ κἀγὼ ἐν τῶ πατρί.

39 ἐζήτουν [οὗν] αὐτὸν πάλιν πιάσαι· καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἐκ τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῶν.

40 καὶ ἀπῆλθεν πάλιν πέραν τοῦ ἰορδάνου εἰς τὸν τόπον ὅπου ἦν ἰωάννης τὸ πρῶτον βαπτίζων, καὶ ἔμεινεν ἐκεῖ.

41 καὶ πολλοὶ ἦλθον πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ ἔλεγον ὅτι ἰωάννης μὲν σημεῖον ἐποίησεν οὐδέν, πάντα δὲ ὅσα εἶπεν ἰωάννης περὶ τούτου ἀληθῆ ἦν.

42 καὶ πολλοὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ.

1  Verily,²⁸¹ verily,²⁸¹ I say³⁰⁰⁴ unto you,⁵²¹³ He that entereth¹⁵²⁵ not³³⁶¹ by¹²²³ the³⁵⁸⁸ door²³⁷⁴ into¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ sheepfold,^{833 4263} but²³⁵ climbeth up³⁰⁵ some other way,²³⁷ the same¹⁵⁶⁵ is²⁰⁷⁶ a thief²⁸¹² and²⁵³² a robber.³⁰²⁷

2  But¹¹⁶¹ he that entereth in¹⁵²⁵ by¹²²³ the³⁵⁸⁸ door²³⁷⁴ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ shepherd⁴¹⁶⁶ of the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep.⁴²⁶³

3  To him⁵¹²⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ porter²³⁷⁷ openeth;⁴⁵⁵ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep⁴²⁶³ hear¹⁹¹ his⁸⁴⁶ voice:⁵⁴⁵⁶ and²⁵³² he calleth²⁵⁶⁴ his own²³⁹⁸ sheep⁴²⁶³ by²⁵⁹⁶ name,³⁶⁸⁶ and²⁵³² leadeth them out.^{1806 846}

4  And²⁵³² when³⁷⁵² he putteth forth¹⁵⁴⁴ his own²³⁹⁸ sheep,⁴²⁶³ he goeth⁴¹⁹⁸ before¹⁷¹⁵ them,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep⁴²⁶³ follow¹⁹⁰ him:⁸⁴⁶ for³⁷⁵⁴ they know¹⁴⁹² his⁸⁴⁶ voice.⁵⁴⁵⁶

5  And¹¹⁶¹ a stranger²⁴⁵ will they not³³⁶⁴ follow,¹⁹⁰ but²³⁵ will flee⁵³⁴³ from⁵⁷⁵ him:⁸⁴⁶ for³⁷⁵⁴ they know¹⁴⁹² not³⁷⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ voice⁵⁴⁵⁶ of strangers.²⁴⁵

6  This⁵⁰²⁶ parable³⁹⁴² spake²⁰³⁶ Jesus²⁴²⁴ unto them:⁸⁴⁶ but¹¹⁶¹ they¹⁵⁶⁵ understood¹⁰⁹⁷ not³⁷⁵⁶ what things⁵¹⁰¹ they were²²⁵⁸ which³⁷³⁹ he spake²⁹⁸⁰ unto them.⁸⁴⁶

7  Then³⁷⁶⁷ said²⁰³⁶ Jesus²⁴²⁴ unto them⁸⁴⁶ again,³⁸²⁵ Verily,²⁸¹ verily,²⁸¹ I say³⁰⁰⁴ unto you,^{5213 3754} I¹⁴⁷³ am¹⁵¹⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ door²³⁷⁴ of the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep.⁴²⁶³

8  All³⁹⁵⁶ that³⁷⁴⁵ ever came²⁰⁶⁴ before⁴²⁵³ me¹⁷⁰⁰ are¹⁵²⁶ thieves²⁸¹² and²⁵³² robbers:³⁰²⁷ but²³⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep⁴²⁶³ did not³⁷⁵⁶ hear¹⁹¹ them.⁸⁴⁶

9  I¹⁴⁷³ am¹⁵¹⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ door:²³⁷⁴ by¹²²³ me¹⁷⁰⁰ if¹⁴³⁷ any man⁵¹⁰⁰ enter in,¹⁵²⁵ he shall be saved,⁴⁹⁸² and²⁵³² shall go in¹⁵²⁵ and²⁵³² out,¹⁸³¹ and²⁵³² find²¹⁴⁷ pasture.³⁵⁴²

10  The³⁵⁸⁸ thief²⁸¹² cometh²⁰⁶⁴ not,³⁷⁵⁶ but¹⁵⁰⁸ for to²⁴⁴³ steal,²⁸¹³ and²⁵³² to kill,²³⁸⁰ and²⁵³² to destroy:⁶²² I¹⁴⁷³ am come²⁰⁶⁴ that²⁴⁴³ they might have²¹⁹² life,²²²² and²⁵³² that they might have²¹⁹² it more abundantly.⁴⁰⁵³

11  I¹⁴⁷³ am¹⁵¹⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ good²⁵⁷⁰ shepherd:⁴¹⁶⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ good²⁵⁷⁰ shepherd⁴¹⁶⁶ giveth⁵⁰⁸⁷ his⁸⁴⁶ life⁵⁵⁹⁰ for⁵²²⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep.⁴²⁶³

12  But¹¹⁶¹ he that is a hireling,³⁴¹¹ and²⁵³² not³⁷⁵⁶ the⁵⁶⁰⁷ shepherd,⁴¹⁶⁶ whose³⁷³⁹ own²³⁹⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep⁴²⁶³ are¹⁵²⁶ not,³⁷⁵⁶ seeth²³³⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ wolf³⁰⁷⁴ coming,²⁰⁶⁴ and²⁵³² leaveth⁸⁶³ the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep,⁴²⁶³ and²⁵³² fleeth:⁵³⁴³ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ wolf³⁰⁷⁴ catcheth⁷²⁶ them,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² scattereth⁴⁶⁵⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep.⁴²⁶³

13  ¹¹⁶¹ The³⁵⁸⁸ hireling³⁴¹¹ fleeth,⁵³⁴³ because³⁷⁵⁴ he is²⁰⁷⁶ a hireling,³⁴¹¹ and²⁵³² careth³¹⁹⁹ not³⁷⁵⁶ for⁴⁰¹² the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep.⁴²⁶³

14  I¹⁴⁷³ am¹⁵¹⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ good²⁵⁷⁰ shepherd,⁴¹⁶⁶ and²⁵³² know¹⁰⁹⁷ my¹⁶⁹⁹ sheep, and²⁵³² am known¹⁰⁹⁷ of⁵²⁵⁹ mine.¹⁶⁹⁹

15  As²⁵³¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father³⁹⁶² knoweth¹⁰⁹⁷ me,³¹⁶⁵ even so know I^{2504 1097} the³⁵⁸⁸ Father:³⁹⁶² and²⁵³² I lay down⁵⁰⁸⁷ my³⁴⁵⁰ life⁵⁵⁹⁰ for⁵²²⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ sheep.⁴²⁶³

16  And²⁵³² other²⁴³ sheep⁴²⁶³ I have,²¹⁹² which³⁷³⁹ are²⁰⁷⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ this⁵⁰²⁶ fold:⁸³³ them also²⁵⁴⁸ I³¹⁶⁵ must¹¹⁶³ bring,⁷¹ and²⁵³² they shall hear¹⁹¹ my³⁴⁵⁰ voice;⁵⁴⁵⁶ and²⁵³² there shall be¹⁰⁹⁶ one³³⁹¹ fold,⁴¹⁶⁷ and one¹⁵²⁰ shepherd.⁴¹⁶⁶

17  Therefore^{1223 5124} doth my Father³⁹⁶² love²⁵ me,³¹⁶⁵ because³⁷⁵⁴ I¹⁴⁷³ lay down⁵⁰⁸⁷ my³⁴⁵⁰ life,⁵⁵⁹⁰ that²⁴⁴³ I might take²⁹⁸³ it⁸⁴⁶ again.³⁸²⁵

18  No man³⁷⁶² taketh¹⁴² it⁸⁴⁶ from⁵⁷⁵ me,¹⁷⁰⁰ but²³⁵ I¹⁴⁷³ lay it down^{5087 846} of⁵⁷⁵ myself.¹⁶⁸³ I have²¹⁹² power¹⁸⁴⁹ to lay it down,^{5087 846} and²⁵³² I have²¹⁹² power¹⁸⁴⁹ to take²⁹⁸³ it⁸⁴⁶ again.³⁸²⁵ This⁵⁰²⁶ commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ have I received²⁹⁸³ of³⁸⁴⁴ my³⁴⁵⁰ Father.³⁹⁶²

19  There was¹⁰⁹⁶ a division⁴⁹⁷⁸ therefore³⁷⁶⁷ again³⁸²⁵ among¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ Jews²⁴⁵³ for¹²²³ these⁵¹²⁸ sayings.³⁰⁵⁶

20  And¹¹⁶¹ many⁴¹⁸³ of¹⁵³⁷ them⁸⁴⁶ said,³⁰⁰⁴ He hath²¹⁹² a devil,¹¹⁴⁰ and²⁵³² is mad;³¹⁰⁵ why⁵¹⁰¹ hear¹⁹¹ ye him?⁸⁴⁶

21  Others²⁴³ said,³⁰⁰⁴ These⁵⁰²³ are²⁰⁷⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ words⁴⁴⁸⁷ of him that hath a devil.¹¹³⁹ Can¹⁴¹⁰ a³³⁶¹ devil¹¹⁴⁰ open⁴⁵⁵ the eyes³⁷⁸⁸ of the blind?⁵¹⁸⁵

22  And¹¹⁶¹ it was¹⁰⁹⁶ at¹⁷²² Jerusalem²⁴¹⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ feast of the dedication,¹⁴⁵⁶ and²⁵³² it was²²⁵⁸ winter.⁵⁴⁹⁴

23  And²⁵³² Jesus²⁴²⁴ walked⁴⁰⁴³ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ temple²⁴¹¹ in¹⁷²² Solomon's⁴⁶⁷² porch.⁴⁷⁴⁵

24  Then³⁷⁶⁷ came the Jews round about^{2944 3588 2453} him,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² said³⁰⁰⁴ unto him,⁸⁴⁶ How long^{2193 4219} dost thou make us to doubt?^{142 2257 5590} If¹⁴⁸⁷ thou⁴⁷⁷¹ be¹⁴⁸⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ tell²⁰³⁶ us²²⁵⁴ plainly.³⁹⁵⁴

25  Jesus²⁴²⁴ answered⁶¹¹ them,⁸⁴⁶ I told²⁰³⁶ you,⁵²¹³ and²⁵³² ye believed⁴¹⁰⁰ not:³⁷⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ works²⁰⁴¹ that³⁷³⁹ I¹⁴⁷³ do⁴¹⁶⁰ in¹⁷²² my³⁴⁵⁰ Father's³⁹⁶² name,³⁶⁸⁶ they⁵⁰²³ bear witness³¹⁴⁰ of⁴⁰¹² me.¹⁷⁰⁰

26  But²³⁵ ye⁵²¹⁰ believe⁴¹⁰⁰ not,³⁷⁵⁶ because¹⁰⁶³ ye are²⁰⁷⁵ not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ my¹⁶⁹⁹ sheep,⁴²⁶³ as²⁵³¹ I said²⁰³⁶ unto you.⁵²¹³

27  My¹⁶⁹⁹ sheep⁴²⁶³ hear¹⁹¹ my³⁴⁵⁰ voice,⁵⁴⁵⁶ and I²⁵⁰⁴ know¹⁰⁹⁷ them,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² they follow¹⁹⁰ me:³⁴²⁷

28  And I²⁵⁰⁴ give¹³²⁵ unto them⁸⁴⁶ eternal¹⁶⁶ life;²²²² and²⁵³² they shall never^{3364 1519 165} perish,⁶²² neither^{2532 3756} shall any⁵¹⁰⁰ man pluck⁷²⁶ them⁸⁴⁶ out of¹⁵³⁷ my³⁴⁵⁰ hand.⁵⁴⁹⁵

29  My³⁴⁵⁰ Father,³⁹⁶² which³⁷³⁹ gave¹³²⁵ them me,³⁴²⁷ is²⁰⁷⁶ greater³¹⁸⁷ than all;³⁹⁵⁶ and²⁵³² no³⁷⁶² man is able¹⁴¹⁰ to pluck⁷²⁶ them out of¹⁵³⁷ my³⁴⁵⁰ Father's³⁹⁶² hand.⁵⁴⁹⁵

30  I¹⁴⁷³ and²⁵³² my Father³⁹⁶² are²⁰⁷⁰ one.¹⁵²⁰

31  Then³⁷⁶⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ Jews²⁴⁵³ took up⁹⁴¹ stones³⁰³⁷ again³⁸²⁵ to²⁴⁴³ stone³⁰³⁴ him.⁸⁴⁶

32  Jesus²⁴²⁴ answered⁶¹¹ them,⁸⁴⁶ Many⁴¹⁸³ good²⁵⁷⁰ works²⁰⁴¹ have I showed¹¹⁶⁶ you⁵²¹³ from¹⁵³⁷ my³⁴⁵⁰ Father;³⁹⁶² for¹²²³ which⁴¹⁶⁹ of those⁸⁴⁶ works²⁰⁴¹ do ye stone³⁰³⁴ me?³¹⁶⁵

33  The³⁵⁸⁸ Jews²⁴⁵³ answered⁶¹¹ him,⁸⁴⁶ saying,³⁰⁰⁴ For⁴⁰¹² a good²⁵⁷⁰ work²⁰⁴¹ we stone³⁰³⁴ thee⁴⁵⁷¹ not;³⁷⁵⁶ but²³⁵ for⁴⁰¹² blasphemy;⁹⁸⁸ and²⁵³² because³⁷⁵⁴ that thou,⁴⁷⁷¹ being⁵⁶⁰⁷ a man,⁴⁴⁴ makest⁴¹⁶⁰ thyself⁴⁵⁷² God.²³¹⁶

34  Jesus²⁴²⁴ answered⁶¹¹ them,⁸⁴⁶ Is²⁰⁷⁶ it not³⁷⁵⁶ written¹¹²⁵ in¹⁷²² your⁵²¹⁶ law,³⁵⁵¹ I¹⁴⁷³ said,²⁰³⁶ Ye are²⁰⁷⁵ gods²³¹⁶

35  If¹⁴⁸⁷ he called²⁰³⁶ them¹⁵⁶⁵ gods,²³¹⁶ unto⁴³¹⁴ whom³⁷³⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ word³⁰⁵⁶ of God²³¹⁶ came,¹⁰⁹⁶ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ Scripture¹¹²⁴ cannot^{1410 3756} be broken;³⁰⁸⁹

36  Say³⁰⁰⁴ ye⁵²¹⁰ of him, whom³⁷³⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father³⁹⁶² hath sanctified,³⁷ and²⁵³² sent⁶⁴⁹ into¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ Thou blasphemest;⁹⁸⁷ because³⁷⁵⁴ I said,³⁰⁰⁴ I am¹⁵¹⁰ the Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God?²³¹⁶

37  If¹⁴⁸⁷ I do⁴¹⁶⁰ not³⁷⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ works²⁰⁴¹ of my³⁴⁵⁰ Father,³⁹⁶² believe⁴¹⁰⁰ me³⁴²⁷ not.³³⁶¹

38  But¹¹⁶¹ if¹⁴⁸⁷ I do,⁴¹⁶⁰ though²⁵⁷⁹ ye believe⁴¹⁰⁰ not³³⁶¹ me,¹⁶⁹⁸ believe⁴¹⁰⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ works:²⁰⁴¹ that²⁴⁴³ ye may know,¹⁰⁹⁷ and²⁵³² believe,⁴¹⁰⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father³⁹⁶² is in¹⁷²² me,¹⁶⁹⁸ and I²⁵⁰⁴ in¹⁷²² him.⁸⁴⁶

39  Therefore³⁷⁶⁷ they sought²²¹² again³⁸²⁵ to take⁴⁰⁸⁴ him:⁸⁴⁶ but²⁵³² he escaped¹⁸³¹ out of¹⁵³⁷ their⁸⁴⁶ hand,⁵⁴⁹⁵

40  And²⁵³² went away⁵⁶⁵ again³⁸²⁵ beyond⁴⁰⁰⁸ Jordan²⁴⁴⁶ into¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ place⁵¹¹⁷ where³⁶⁹⁹ John²⁴⁹¹ at first⁴⁴¹² baptized;^{2258 907} and²⁵³² there¹⁵⁶³ he abode.³³⁰⁶

41  And²⁵³² many⁴¹⁸³ resorted²⁰⁶⁴ unto⁴³¹⁴ him,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² said,³⁰⁰⁴ John²⁴⁹¹ did⁴¹⁶⁰ no³⁷⁶² miracle:⁴⁵⁹² but¹¹⁶¹ all things³⁹⁵⁶ that³⁷⁴⁵ John²⁴⁹¹ spake²⁰³⁶ of⁴⁰¹² this man⁵¹²⁷ were²²⁵⁸ true.²²⁷

42  And²⁵³² many⁴¹⁸³ believed⁴¹⁰⁰ on¹⁵¹⁹ him⁸⁴⁶ there.¹⁵⁶³

1 Amen, amen dico vobis: qui non intrat per ostium in ovile ovium, sed ascendit aliunde, ille fur est et latro.

2 Qui autem intrat per ostium, pastor est ovium.

3 Huic ostiarius aperit, et oves vocem ejus audiunt, et proprias ovas vocat nominatim, et educit eas.

4 Et cum proprias oves emiserit, ante eas vadit: et oves illum sequuntur, quia sciunt vocem ejus.

5 Alienum autem non sequuntur, sed fugiunt ab eo: quia non noverunt vocem alienorum.

6 Hoc proverbium dixit eis Jesus: illi autem non cognoverunt quid loqueretur eis.

7 Dixit ergo eis iterum Jesus: Amen, amen dico vobis, quia ego sum ostium ovium.

8 Omnes quotquot venerunt, fures sunt, et latrones, et non audierunt eos oves.

9 Ego sum ostium. Per me si quis introierit, salvabitur: et ingredietur, et egredietur, et pascua inveniet.

10 Fur non venit nisi ut furetur, et mactet, et perdat. Ego veni ut vitam habeant, et abundantius habeant.

11 Ego sum pastor bonus. Bonus pastor animam suam dat pro ovibus suis.

12 Mercenarius autem, et qui non est pastor, cujus non sunt oves propriæ, videt lupum venientem, et dimittit oves, et fugit: et lupus rapit, et dispergit oves;

13 mercenarius autem fugit, quia mercenarius est, et non pertinet ad eum de ovibus.

14 Ego sum pastor bonus: et cognosco meas, et cognoscunt me meæ.

15 Sicut novit me Pater, et ego agnosco Patrem: et animam meam pono pro ovibus meis.

16 Et alias oves habeo, quæ non sunt ex hoc ovili: et illas oportet me adducere, et vocem meam audient, et fiet unum ovile et unus pastor.

17 Propterea me diligit Pater: quia ego pono animam meam, ut iterum sumam eam.

18 Nemo tollit eam a me: sed ego pono eam a meipso, et potestatem habeo ponendi eam, et potestatem habeo iterum sumendi eam. Hoc mandatum accepi a Patre meo.

19 Dissensio iterum facta est inter Judæos propter sermones hos.

20 Dicebant autem multi ex ipsis: Dæmonium habet, et insanit: quid eum auditis?

21 Alii dicebant: Hæc verba non sunt dæmonium habentis: numquid dæmonium potest cæcorum oculos aperire?

22 Facta sunt autem Encænia in Jerosolymis, et hiems erat.

23 Et ambulabat Jesus in templo, in porticu Salomonis.

24 Circumdederunt ergo eum Judæi, et dicebant ei: Quousque animam nostram tollis? si tu es Christus, dic nobis palam.

25 Respondit eis Jesus: Loquor vobis, et non creditis: opera quæ ego facio in nomine Patris mei, hæc testimonium perhibent de me:

26 sed vos non creditis, quia non estis ex ovibus meis.

27 Oves meæ vocem meam audiunt, et ego cognosco eas, et sequuntur me:

28 et ego vitam æternam do eis, et non peribunt in æternum, et non rapiet eas quisquam de manu mea.

29 Pater meus quod dedit mihi, majus omnibus est: et nemo potest rapere de manu Patris mei.

30 Ego et Pater unum sumus.

31 Sustulerunt ergo lapides Judæi, ut lapidarent eum.

32 Respondit eis Jesus: Multa bona opera ostendi vobis ex Patre meo: propter quod eorum opus me lapidatis?

33 Responderunt ei Judæi: De bono opere non lapidamus te, sed de blasphemia; et quia tu homo cum sis, facis teipsum Deum.

34 Respondit eis Jesus: Nonne scriptum est in lege vestra, Quia ego dixi: Dii estis?

35 Si illos dixit deos, ad quos sermo Dei factus est, et non potest solvi Scriptura:

36 quem Pater sanctificavit, et misit in mundum vos dicitis: Quia blasphemas, quia dixi: Filius Dei sum?

37 Si non facio opera Patris mei, nolite credere mihi.

38 Si autem facio: etsi mihi non vultis credere, operibus credite, ut cognoscatis, et credatis quia Pater in me est, et ego in Patre.

39 Quærebant ergo eum apprehendere: et exivit de manibus eorum.

40 Et abiit iterum trans Jordanem, in eum locum ubi erat Joannes baptizans primum, et mansit illic;

41 et multi venerunt ad eum, et dicebant: Quia Joannes quidem signum fecit nullum.

42 Omnia autem quæcumque dixit Joannes de hoc, vera erant. Et multi crediderunt in eum.
