1  Then said⁵⁵⁹ the LORD³⁰⁶⁸ unto⁴¹³ me, Though⁵¹⁸ Moses⁴⁸⁷² and Samuel⁸⁰⁵⁰ stood⁵⁹⁷⁵ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ me, yet my mind⁵³¹⁵ could not³⁶⁹ be toward⁴¹³ this²⁰⁸⁸ people:⁵⁹⁷¹ cast⁷⁹⁷¹ them out of^{4480 5921} my sight,⁶⁴⁴⁰ and let them go forth.³³¹⁸

2  And it shall come to pass,¹⁹⁶¹ if³⁵⁸⁸ they say⁵⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ thee, Whither⁵⁷⁵ shall we go forth?³³¹⁸ then thou shalt tell^{559 413} them, Thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD;³⁰⁶⁸ Such as⁸³⁴ are for death,⁴¹⁹⁴ to death;⁴¹⁹⁴ and such as⁸³⁴ are for the sword,²⁷¹⁹ to the sword;²⁷¹⁹ and such as⁸³⁴ are for the famine,⁷⁴⁵⁸ to the famine;⁷⁴⁵⁸ and such as⁸³⁴ are for the captivity,⁷⁶²⁸ to the captivity.⁷⁶²⁸

3  And I will appoint⁶⁴⁸⁵ over⁵⁹²¹ them four⁷⁰² kinds,⁴⁹⁴⁰ saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD:^{3068 853} the sword²⁷¹⁹ to slay,²⁰²⁶ and the dogs³⁶¹¹ to tear,⁵⁴⁹⁸ and the fowls⁵⁷⁷⁵ of the heaven,⁸⁰⁶⁴ and the beasts⁹²⁹ of the earth,⁷⁷⁶ to devour³⁹⁸ and destroy.⁷⁸⁴³

4  And I will cause⁵⁴¹⁴ them to be removed²¹⁸⁹ into all³⁶⁰⁵ kingdoms⁴⁴⁶⁷ of the earth,⁷⁷⁶ because of¹⁵⁵⁸ Manasseh⁴⁵¹⁹ the son¹¹²¹ of Hezekiah³¹⁶⁹ king⁴⁴²⁸ of Judah,³⁰⁶³ for⁵⁹²¹ that which⁸³⁴ he did⁶²¹³ in Jerusalem.³³⁸⁹

5  For³⁵⁸⁸ who⁴³¹⁰ shall have pity²⁵⁵⁰ upon⁵⁹²¹ thee, O Jerusalem?³³⁸⁹ or who⁴³¹⁰ shall bemoan⁵¹¹⁰ thee? or who⁴³¹⁰ shall go aside⁵⁴⁹³ to ask⁷⁵⁹² how thou doest?⁷⁹⁶⁵

6  Thou⁸⁵⁹ hast forsaken⁵²⁰³ me, saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ thou art gone¹⁹⁸⁰ backward:²⁶⁸ therefore will I stretch out^{5186 853} my hand³⁰²⁷ against⁵⁹²¹ thee, and destroy⁷⁸⁴³ thee; I am weary³⁸¹¹ with repenting.⁵¹⁶²

7  And I will fan²²¹⁹ them with a fan⁴²¹⁴ in the gates⁸¹⁷⁹ of the land;⁷⁷⁶ I will bereave⁷⁹²¹ them of children, I will destroy^{6 853} my people,⁵⁹⁷¹ since they return⁷⁷²⁵ not³⁸⁰⁸ from their ways.^{4480 1870}

8  Their widows⁴⁹⁰ are increased⁶¹⁰⁵ to me above the sand^{4480 2344} of the seas:³²²⁰ I have brought⁹³⁵ upon them against⁵⁹²¹ the mother⁵¹⁷ of the young men⁹⁷⁰ a spoiler⁷⁷⁰³ at noonday:⁶⁶⁷² I have caused him to fall⁵³⁰⁷ upon⁵⁹²¹ it suddenly,⁶⁵⁹⁷ and terrors⁹²⁸ upon the city.⁵⁸⁹²

9  She that hath borne³²⁰⁵ seven⁷⁶⁵¹ languisheth:⁵³⁵ she hath given up⁵³⁰¹ the ghost;⁵³¹⁵ her sun⁸¹²¹ is gone down⁹³⁵ while⁵⁷⁵⁰ it was yet day:³¹¹⁹ she hath been ashamed⁹⁵⁴ and confounded:²⁶⁵⁹ and the residue⁷⁶¹¹ of them will I deliver⁵⁴¹⁴ to the sword²⁷¹⁹ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ their enemies,³⁴¹ saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

10  Woe¹⁸⁸ is me, my mother,⁵¹⁷ that³⁵⁸⁸ thou hast borne³²⁰⁵ me a man³⁷⁶ of strife⁷³⁷⁹ and a man³⁷⁶ of contention⁴⁰⁶⁶ to the whole³⁶⁰⁵ earth!⁷⁷⁶ I have neither³⁸⁰⁸ lent on usury,⁵³⁸³ nor³⁸⁰⁸ men have lent to me on usury;⁵³⁸³ yet every one³⁶⁰⁵ of them doth curse⁷⁰⁴³ me.

11  The LORD³⁰⁶⁸ said,⁵⁵⁹ Verily^{518 3808} it shall be well²⁸⁹⁶ with thy remnant;⁷⁶¹¹ verily^{518 3808} I will cause ⁸⁵³ the enemy³⁴¹ to entreat⁶²⁹³ thee well in the time⁶²⁵⁶ of evil⁷⁴⁵¹ and in the time⁶²⁵⁶ of affliction.⁶⁸⁶⁹

12  Shall iron¹²⁷⁰ break⁷⁴⁸⁹ the northern^{4480 6828} iron¹²⁷⁰ and the steel?⁵¹⁷⁸

13  Thy substance²⁴²⁸ and thy treasures²¹⁴ will I give⁵⁴¹⁴ to the spoil⁹⁵⁷ without³⁸⁰⁸ price,⁴²⁴² and that for all³⁶⁰⁵ thy sins,²⁴⁰³ even in all³⁶⁰⁵ thy borders.¹³⁶⁶

14  And I will make thee to pass⁵⁶⁷⁴ with⁸⁵⁴ thine enemies³⁴¹ into a land⁷⁷⁶ which thou knowest³⁰⁴⁵ not:³⁸⁰⁸ for³⁵⁸⁸ a fire⁷⁸⁴ is kindled⁶⁹¹⁹ in mine anger,⁶³⁹ which shall burn³³⁴⁴ upon⁵⁹²¹ you.

15  O LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ thou⁸⁵⁹ knowest:³⁰⁴⁵ remember²¹⁴² me, and visit⁶⁴⁸⁵ me, and revenge⁵³⁵⁸ me of my persecutors;^{4480 7291} take³⁹⁴⁷ me not⁴⁰⁸ away in thy longsuffering:^{750 639} know³⁰⁴⁵ that for⁵⁹²¹ thy sake I have suffered⁵³⁷⁵ rebuke.²⁷⁸¹

16  Thy words¹⁶⁹⁷ were found,⁴⁶⁷² and I did eat³⁹⁸ them; and thy word¹⁶⁹⁷ was¹⁹⁶¹ unto me the joy⁸³⁴² and rejoicing⁸⁰⁵⁷ of mine heart:³⁸²⁴ for³⁵⁸⁸ I am called⁷¹²¹ by⁵⁹²¹ thy name,⁸⁰³⁴ O LORD³⁰⁶⁸ God⁴³⁰ of hosts.⁶⁶³⁵

17  I sat³⁴²⁷ not³⁸⁰⁸ in the assembly⁵⁴⁷⁵ of the mockers,⁷⁸³² nor rejoiced;⁵⁹³⁷ I sat³⁴²⁷ alone⁹¹⁰ because^{4480 6440} of thy hand:³⁰²⁷ for³⁵⁸⁸ thou hast filled⁴³⁹⁰ me with indignation.²¹⁹⁵

18  Why⁴¹⁰⁰ is¹⁹⁶¹ my pain³⁵¹¹ perpetual,⁵³³¹ and my wound⁴³⁴⁷ incurable,⁶⁰⁵ which refuseth³⁹⁸⁵ to be healed?⁷⁴⁹⁵ wilt thou be altogether^{1961 1961} unto me as³⁶⁴⁴ a liar,³⁹¹ and as waters⁴³²⁵ that fail?^{3808 539}

19  Therefore³⁶⁵¹ thus³⁵⁴¹ saith⁵⁵⁹ the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ If⁵¹⁸ thou return,⁷⁷²⁵ then will I bring thee again,⁷⁷²⁵ and thou shalt stand⁵⁹⁷⁵ before⁶⁴⁴⁰ me: and if⁵¹⁸ thou take forth³³¹⁸ the precious³³⁶⁸ from the vile,^{4480 2151} thou shalt be¹⁹⁶¹ as my mouth:⁶³¹⁰ let them return⁷⁷²⁵ unto⁴¹³ thee; but return⁷⁷²⁵ not³⁸⁰⁸ thou⁸⁵⁹ unto⁴¹³ them.

20  And I will make⁵⁴¹⁴ thee unto this²⁰⁸⁸ people⁵⁹⁷¹ a fenced¹²¹⁹ brazen⁵¹⁷⁸ wall:²³⁴⁶ and they shall fight³⁸⁹⁸ against⁴¹³ thee, but they shall not³⁸⁰⁸ prevail³²⁰¹ against thee: for³⁵⁸⁸ I⁵⁸⁹ am with⁸⁵⁴ thee to save³⁴⁶⁷ thee and to deliver⁵³³⁷ thee, saith⁵⁰⁰² the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

21  And I will deliver⁵³³⁷ thee out of the hand^{4480 3027} of the wicked,⁷⁴⁵¹ and I will redeem⁶²⁹⁹ thee out of the hand^{4480 3709} of the terrible.⁶¹⁸⁴

1 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἐὰν στῇ Μωυσῆς καὶ Σαμουηλ πρὸ προσώπου μου οὐκ ἔστιν ἡ ψυχή μου πρὸς αὐτούς ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον καὶ ἐξελθέτωσαν

2 καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν εἴπωσιν πρὸς σέ ποῦ ἐξελευσόμεθα καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ὅσοι εἰς θάνατον εἰς θάνατον καὶ ὅσοι εἰς μάχαιραν εἰς μάχαιραν καὶ ὅσοι εἰς λιμόν εἰς λιμόν καὶ ὅσοι εἰς αἰχμαλωσίαν εἰς αἰχμαλωσίαν

3 καὶ ἐκδικήσω ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς τέσσαρα εἴδη λέγει κύριος τὴν μάχαιραν εἰς σφαγὴν καὶ τοὺς κύνας εἰς διασπασμὸν καὶ τὰ θηρία τῆς γῆς καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ εἰς βρῶσιν καὶ εἰς διαφθοράν

4 καὶ παραδώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς ἀνάγκας πάσαις ταῖς βασιλείαις τῆς γῆς διὰ Μανασση υἱὸν Εζεκιου βασιλέα Ιουδα περὶ πάντων ὧν ἐποίησεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ

5 τίς φείσεται ἐπὶ σοί Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τίς δειλιάσει ἐπὶ σοί ἢ τίς ἀνακάμψει εἰς εἰρήνην σοι

6 σὺ ἀπεστράφης με λέγει κύριος ὀπίσω πορεύσῃ καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου καὶ διαφθερῶ σε καὶ οὐκέτι ἀνήσω αὐτούς

7 καὶ διασπερῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν διασπορᾷ ἐν πύλαις λαοῦ μου ἠτεκνώθησαν ἀπώλεσαν τὸν λαόν μου διὰ τὰς κακίας αὐτῶν

8 ἐπληθύνθησαν χῆραι αὐτῶν ὑπὲρ τὴν ἄμμον τῆς θαλάσσης ἐπήγαγον ἐπὶ μητέρα νεανίσκου ταλαιπωρίαν ἐν μεσημβρίᾳ ἐπέρριψα ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν ἐξαίφνης τρόμον καὶ σπουδήν

9 ἐκενώθη ἡ τίκτουσα ἑπτά ἀπεκάκησεν ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτῆς ἐπέδυ ὁ ἥλιος αὐτῇ ἔτι μεσούσης τῆς ἡμέρας κατῃσχύνθη καὶ ὠνειδίσθη τοὺς καταλοίπους αὐτῶν εἰς μάχαιραν δώσω ἐναντίον τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν

10 οἴμμοι ἐγώ μῆτερ ὡς τίνα με ἔτεκες ἄνδρα δικαζόμενον καὶ διακρινόμενον πάσῃ τῇ γῇ οὔτε ὠφέλησα οὔτε ὠφέλησέν με οὐδείς ἡ ἰσχύς μου ἐξέλιπεν ἐν τοῖς καταρωμένοις με

11 γένοιτο δέσποτα κατευθυνόντων αὐτῶν εἰ μὴ παρέστην σοι ἐν καιρῷ τῶν κακῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν καιρῷ θλίψεως αὐτῶν εἰς ἀγαθὰ πρὸς τὸν ἐχθρόν

12 εἰ γνωσθήσεται σίδηρος καὶ περιβόλαιον χαλκοῦν

13 ἡ ἰσχύς σου καὶ τοὺς θησαυρούς σου εἰς προνομὴν δώσω ἀντάλλαγμα διὰ πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας σου καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ὁρίοις σου

14 καὶ καταδουλώσω σε κύκλῳ τοῖς ἐχθροῖς σου ἐν τῇ γῇ ᾗ οὐκ ᾔδεις ὅτι πῦρ ἐκκέκαυται ἐκ τοῦ θυμοῦ μου ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς καυθήσεται

15 κύριε μνήσθητί μου καὶ ἐπίσκεψαί με καὶ ἀθῴωσόν με ἀπὸ τῶν καταδιωκόντων με μὴ εἰς μακροθυμίαν γνῶθι ὡς ἔλαβον περὶ σοῦ ὀνειδισμὸν

16 ὑπὸ τῶν ἀθετούντων τοὺς λόγους σου συντέλεσον αὐτούς καὶ ἔσται ὁ λόγος σου ἐμοὶ εἰς εὐφροσύνην καὶ χαρὰν καρδίας μου ὅτι ἐπικέκληται τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπ᾽ ἐμοί κύριε παντοκράτωρ

17 οὐκ ἐκάθισα ἐν συνεδρίῳ αὐτῶν παιζόντων ἀλλὰ εὐλαβούμην ἀπὸ προσώπου χειρός σου κατὰ μόνας ἐκαθήμην ὅτι πικρίας ἐνεπλήσθην

18 ἵνα τί οἱ λυποῦντές με κατισχύουσίν μου ἡ πληγή μου στερεά πόθεν ἰαθήσομαι γινομένη ἐγενήθη μοι ὡς ὕδωρ ψευδὲς οὐκ ἔχον πίστιν

19 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐὰν ἐπιστρέψῃς καὶ ἀποκαταστήσω σε καὶ πρὸ προσώπου μου στήσῃ καὶ ἐὰν ἐξαγάγῃς τίμιον ἀπὸ ἀναξίου ὡς στόμα μου ἔσῃ καὶ ἀναστρέψουσιν αὐτοὶ πρὸς σέ καὶ σὺ οὐκ ἀναστρέψεις πρὸς αὐτούς

20 καὶ δώσω σε τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ ὡς τεῖχος ὀχυρὸν χαλκοῦν καὶ πολεμήσουσιν πρὸς σὲ καὶ οὐ μὴ δύνωνται πρὸς σέ διότι μετὰ σοῦ εἰμι τοῦ σῴζειν σε

21 καὶ ἐξαιρεῖσθαί σε ἐκ χειρὸς πονηρῶν καὶ λυτρώσομαί σε ἐκ χειρὸς λοιμῶν

‎1 ‏וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י אִם־יַעֲמֹ֨ד מֹשֶׁ֤ה וּשְׁמוּאֵל֙ לְפָנַ֔י אֵ֥ין נַפְשִׁ֖י אֶל־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה שַׁלַּ֥ח מֵֽעַל־פָּנַ֖י וְיֵצֵֽאוּ׃

‎2 ‏וְהָיָ֛ה כִּֽי־יֹאמְר֥וּ אֵלֶ֖יךָ אָ֣נָה נֵצֵ֑א וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר לַמָּ֤וֶת לַמָּ֙וֶת֙ וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר לַחֶ֙רֶב֙ לַחֶ֔רֶב וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר לָֽרָעָב֙ לָֽרָעָ֔ב וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לַשְּׁבִ֖י לַשֶּֽׁבִי׃

‎3 ‏וּפָקַדְתִּ֨י עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם אַרְבַּ֤ע מִשְׁפָּחוֹת֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה אֶת־הַחֶ֣רֶב לַֽהֲרֹ֔ג וְאֶת־הַכְּלָבִ֖ים לִסְחֹ֑ב וְאֶת־ע֧וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם וְאֶת־בֶּהֱמַ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ לֶאֱכֹ֥ל וּלְהַשְׁחִֽית׃

‎4 ‏וּנְתַתִּ֣ים לזועה לְזַֽעֲוָ֔ה לְכֹ֖ל מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאָ֑רֶץ בִּ֠גְלַל מְנַשֶּׁ֤ה בֶן־יְחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה עַ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֖ה בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

‎5 ‏כִּ֠י מִֽי־יַחְמֹ֤ל עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם וּמִ֖י יָנ֣וּד לָ֑ךְ וּמִ֣י יָס֔וּר לִשְׁאֹ֥ל לְשָׁלֹ֖ם לָֽךְ׃

‎6 ‏אַ֣תְּ נָטַ֥שְׁתְּ אֹתִ֛י נְאֻם־יְהוָ֖ה אָח֣וֹר תֵּלֵ֑כִי וָאַ֨ט אֶת־יָדִ֤י עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ וָֽאַשְׁחִיתֵ֔ךְ נִלְאֵ֖יתִי הִנָּחֵֽם׃

‎7 ‏וָאֶזְרֵ֥ם בְּמִזְרֶ֖ה בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ שִׁכַּ֤לְתִּי אִבַּ֙דְתִּי֙ אֶת־עַמִּ֔י מִדַּרְכֵיהֶ֖ם לוֹא־שָֽׁבוּ׃

‎8 ‏עָֽצְמוּ־לִ֤י אַלְמְנֹתָו֙^q מֵח֣וֹל יַמִּ֔ים הֵבֵ֨אתִי לָהֶ֥ם עַל־אֵ֛ם בָּח֖וּר שֹׁדֵ֣ד בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם הִפַּ֤לְתִּי עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ פִּתְאֹ֔ם עִ֖יר וּבֶהָלֽוֹת׃

‎9 ‏אֻמְלְלָ֞ה יֹלֶ֣דֶת הַשִּׁבְעָ֗ה נָפְחָ֥ה נַפְשָׁ֛הּ באה בָּ֥א שִׁמְשָׁ֛הּ בְּעֹ֥ד יוֹמָ֖ם בּ֣וֹשָׁה וְחָפֵ֑רָה וּשְׁאֵֽרִיתָ֗ם לַחֶ֧רֶב אֶתֵּ֛ן לִפְנֵ֥י אֹיְבֵיהֶ֖ם נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ ס

‎10 ‏אֽוֹי־לִ֣י אִמִּ֔י כִּ֣י יְלִדְתִּ֗נִי אִ֥ישׁ רִ֛יב וְאִ֥ישׁ מָד֖וֹן לְכָל־הָאָ֑רֶץ לֹֽא־נָשִׁ֥יתִי וְלֹא־נָֽשׁוּ־בִ֖י כֻּלֹּ֥ה מְקַלְלַֽונִי׃ ס

‎11 ‏אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה אִם־לֹ֥א שרותך שֵֽׁרִיתִ֖יךָ³ לְט֑וֹב אִם־ל֣וֹא׀ הִפְגַּ֣עְתִּֽי בְךָ֗ בְּעֵ֥ת־רָעָ֛ה וּבְעֵ֥ת צָרָ֖ה אֶת־הָאֹיֵֽב׃

‎12 ‏הֲיָרֹ֨עַ בַּרְזֶ֧ל׀ בַּרְזֶ֛ל מִצָּפ֖וֹן וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃

‎13 ‏חֵילְךָ֧ וְאוֹצְרוֹתֶ֛יךָ לָבַ֥ז אֶתֵּ֖ן לֹ֣א בִמְחִ֑יר וּבְכָל־חַטֹּאותֶ֖יךָ וּבְכָל־גְּבוּלֶֽיךָ׃

‎14 ‏וְהַֽעֲבַרְתִּי֙ אֶת־אֹ֣יְבֶ֔יךָ בְּאֶ֖רֶץ לֹ֣א יָדָ֑עְתָּ כִּֽי־אֵ֛שׁ קָדְחָ֥ה בְאַפִּ֖י עֲלֵיכֶ֥ם תּוּקָֽד׃ ס

‎15 ‏אַתָּ֧ה יָדַ֣עְתָּ יְהוָ֗ה זָכְרֵ֤נִי וּפָקְדֵ֙נִי֙ וְהִנָּ֤קֶם לִי֙ מֵרֹ֣דְפַ֔י אַל־לְאֶ֥רֶךְ אַפְּךָ֖ תִּקָּחֵ֑נִי דַּ֕ע שְׂאֵתִ֥י עָלֶ֖יךָ חֶרְפָּֽה׃

‎16 ‏נִמְצְא֤וּ דְבָרֶ֙יךָ֙ וָאֹ֣כְלֵ֔ם וַיְהִ֤י דבריך דְבָֽרְךָ֙ לִ֔י לְשָׂשׂ֖וֹן וּלְשִׂמְחַ֣ת לְבָבִ֑י כִּֽי־נִקְרָ֤א שִׁמְךָ֙ עָלַ֔י יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י צְבָאֽוֹת׃ ס

‎17 ‏לֹֽא־יָשַׁ֥בְתִּי בְסוֹד־מְשַׂחֲקִ֖ים וָֽאֶעְלֹ֑ז מִפְּנֵ֤י יָֽדְךָ֙ בָּדָ֣ד יָשַׁ֔בְתִּי כִּֽי־זַ֖עַם מִלֵּאתָֽנִי׃ ס

‎18 ‏לָ֣מָּה הָיָ֤ה כְאֵבִי֙ נֶ֔צַח וּמַכָּתִ֖י אֲנוּשָׁ֑ה֙ מֵֽאֲנָה֙ הֵֽרָפֵ֔א הָי֨וֹ תִֽהְיֶ֥ה לִי֙ כְּמ֣וֹ אַכְזָ֔ב מַ֖יִם לֹ֥א נֶאֱמָֽנוּ׃ ס

‎19 ‏לָכֵ֞ן כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה אִם־תָּשׁ֤וּב וַאֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֙ לְפָנַ֣י תַּֽעֲמֹ֔ד וְאִם־תּוֹצִ֥יא יָקָ֛ר מִזּוֹלֵ֖ל כְּפִ֣י תִֽהְיֶ֑ה יָשֻׁ֤בוּ הֵ֙מָּה֙ אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְאַתָּ֖ה לֹֽא־תָשׁ֥וּב אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

‎20 ‏וּנְתַתִּ֜יךָ לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֗ה לְחוֹמַ֤ת נְחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ בְּצוּרָ֔ה וְנִלְחֲמ֥וּ אֵלֶ֖יךָ וְלֹא־י֣וּכְלוּ לָ֑ךְ כִּֽי־אִתְּךָ֥ אֲנִ֛י לְהוֹשִֽׁיעֲךָ֥ וּלְהַצִּילֶ֖ךָ נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃

‎21 ‏וְהִצַּלְתִּ֖יךָ מִיַּ֣ד רָעִ֑ים וּפְדִתִ֖יךָ מִכַּ֥ף עָרִצִֽים׃ פ

Vul

1 Et dixit Dominus ad me: [Si steterit Moyses et Samuel coram me,
non est anima mea ad populum istum:
ejice illos a facie mea, et egrediantur.

2 Quod si dixerint ad te: Quo egrediemur?
dices ad eos: Hæc dicit Dominus:
Qui ad mortem, ad mortem,
et qui ad gladium, ad gladium,
et qui ad famem, ad famem,
et qui ad captivitatem, ad captivitatem.

3 Et visitabo super eos quatuor species, dicit Dominus:
gladium ad occisionem,
et canes ad lacerandum,
et volatilia cæli et bestias terræ
ad devorandum et dissipandum.

4 Et dabo eos in fervorem universis regnis terræ,
propter Manassen filium Ezechiæ regis Juda,
super omnibus quæ fecit in Jerusalem.

5 Quis enim miserebitur tui, Jerusalem,
aut quis contristabitur pro te?
aut quis ibit ad rogandum pro pace tua?

6 Tu reliquisti me, dicit Dominus;
retrorsum abiisti:
et extendam manum meam super te, et interficiam te:
laboravi rogans.

7 Et dispergam eos ventilabro in portis terræ:
interfeci et disperdidi populum meum,
et tamen a viis suis non sunt reversi.

8 Multiplicatæ sunt mihi viduæ ejus super arenam maris:
induxi eis super matrem adolescentis vastatorem meridie:
misi super civitates repente terrorem.

9 Infirmata est quæ peperit septem;
defecit anima ejus:
occidit ei sol cum adhuc esset dies:
confusa est, et erubuit:
et residuos ejus in gladium dabo
in conspectu inimicorum eorum, ait Dominus.]

10 [Væ mihi, mater mea! quare genuisti me,
virum rixæ, virum discordiæ in universa terra?
Non fœneravi, nec fœneravit mihi quisquam:
omnes maledicunt mihi.

11 Dicit Dominus: Si non reliquiæ tuæ in bonum,
si non occurri tibi in tempore afflictionis,
et in tempore tribulationis adversus inimicum.

12 Numquid fœderabitur ferrum ferro ab aquilone, et æs?

13 Divitias tuas et thesauros tuos in direptionem dabo gratis,
in omnibus peccatis tuis, et in omnibus terminis tuis.

14 Et adducam inimicos tuos de terra quam nescis,
quia ignis succensus est in furore meo:
super vos ardebit.

15 Tu scis, Domine: recordare mei, et visita me,
et tuere me ab his qui persequuntur me.
Noli in patientia tua suscipere me:
scito quoniam sustinui propter te opprobrium.

16 Inventi sunt sermones tui, et comedi eos:
et factum est mihi verbum tuum in gaudium
et in lætitiam cordis mei,
quoniam invocatum est nomen tuum super me,
Domine Deus exercituum.

17 Non sedi in concilio ludentium,
et gloriatus sum a facie manus tuæ:
solus sedebam, quoniam comminatione replesti me.

18 Quare factus est dolor meus perpetuus,
et plaga mea desperabilis renuit curari?
facta est mihi quasi mendacium aquarum infidelium.

19 Propter hoc hæc dicit Dominus:
Si converteris, convertam te,
et ante faciem meam stabis:
et si separaveris pretiosum a vili,
quasi os meum eris:
convertentur ipsi ad te,
et tu non converteris ad eos.

20 Et dabo te populo huic in murum æreum fortem:
et bellabunt adversum te, et non prævalebunt,
quia ego tecum sum ut salvem te, et eruam te, dicit Dominus:

21 et liberabo te de manu pessimorum,
et redimam te de manu fortium.]
