Ezekiel 6

KJV

1  And the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto413 me, saying,559

2  Son1121 of man,120 set7760 thy face6440 toward413 the mountains2022 of Israel,3478 and prophesy5012 against413 them,

3  And say,559 Ye mountains2022 of Israel,3478 hear8085 the word1697 of the Lord136 GOD;3069 Thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069 to the mountains,2022 and to the hills,1389 to the rivers,650 and to the valleys;1516 Behold,2009 I, even I,589 will bring935 a sword2719 upon5921 you, and I will destroy6 your high places.1116

4  And your altars4196 shall be desolate,8074 and your images2553 shall be broken:7665 and I will cast down5307 your slain2491 men before6440 your idols.1544

5  And I will lay5414 853 the dead carcasses6297 of the children1121 of Israel3478 before6440 their idols;1544 and I will scatter2219 853 your bones6106 round about5439 your altars.4196

6  In all3605 your dwelling places4186 the cities5892 shall be laid waste,2717 and the high places1116 shall be desolate;3456 that4616 your altars4196 may be laid waste2717 and made desolate,816 and your idols1544 may be broken7665 and cease,7673 and your images2553 may be cut down,1438 and your works4639 may be abolished.4229

7  And the slain2491 shall fall5307 in the midst8432 of you, and ye shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

8  Yet will I leave a remnant,3498 that ye may have1961 some that shall escape6412 the sword2719 among the nations,1471 when ye shall be scattered2219 through the countries.776

9  And they that escape6412 of you shall remember2142 me among the nations1471 whither834 8033 they shall be carried captives,7617 because834 I am broken7665 with854 their whorish2181 heart,3820 which834 hath departed5493 from4480 5921 me, and with854 their eyes,5869 which go a whoring2181 after310 their idols:1544 and they shall loathe6962 themselves6440 for413 the evils7451 which834 they have committed6213 in all3605 their abominations.8441

10  And they shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD,3068 and that I have not3808 said1696 in vain413 2600 that I would do6213 this2063 evil7451 unto them.

11  Thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 Smite5221 with thine hand,3709 and stamp7554 with thy foot,7272 and say,559 Alas253 for413 all3605 the evil7451 abominations8441 of the house1004 of Israel!3478 for834 they shall fall5307 by the sword,2719 by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence.1698

12  He that is far off7350 shall die4191 of the pestilence;1698 and he that is near7138 shall fall5307 by the sword;2719 and he that remaineth7604 and is besieged5341 shall die4191 by the famine:7458 thus will I accomplish3615 my fury2534 upon them.

13  Then shall ye know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD,3068 when their slain2491 men shall be1961 among8432 their idols1544 round about5439 their altars,4196 upon413 every3605 high7311 hill,1389 in all3605 the tops7218 of the mountains,2022 and under8478 every3605 green7488 tree,6086 and under8478 every3605 thick5687 oak,424 the place4725 where834 8033 they did offer5414 sweet5207 savor7381 to all3605 their idols.1544

14  So will I stretch out5186 853 my hand3027 upon5921 them, and make5414 853 the land776 desolate,8077 yea, more desolate4923 than the wilderness4480 4057 toward Diblath,1689 in all3605 their habitations:4186 and they shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

1 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens:

2 Fili hominis, pone faciem tuam ad montes Israël, et prophetabis ad eos,

3 et dices: [Montes Israël,
audite verbum Domini Dei.
Hæc dicit Dominus Deus
montibus et collibus,
rupibus et vallibus:
Ecce ego inducam super vos gladium,
et disperdam excelsa vestra,

4 et demoliar aras vestras,
et confringentur simulacra vestra,
et dejiciam interfectos vestros
ante idola vestra:

5 et dabo cadavera filiorum Israël
ante faciem simulacrorum vestrorum,
et dispergam ossa vestra
circum aras vestras:

6 in omnibus habitationibus vestris
urbes desertæ erunt,
et excelsa demolientur et dissipabuntur:
et interibunt aræ vestræ, et confringentur,
et cessabunt idola vestra,
et conterentur delubra vestra,
et delebuntur opera vestra:

7 et cadet interfectus in medio vestri,
et scietis quia ego sum Dominus.

8 Et relinquam in vobis eos
qui fugerint gladium in gentibus,
cum dispersero vos in terris:

9 et recordabuntur mei liberati vestri in gentibus
ad quas captivi ducti sunt:
quia contrivi cor eorum
fornicans et recedens a me,
et oculos eorum fornicantes post idola sua:
et displicebunt sibimet super malis
quæ fecerunt in universis abominationibus suis.

et complebo indignationem meam in eis.

13 Et scietis quia ego Dominus,
cum fuerint interfecti vestri in medio idolorum vestrorum,
in circuitu ararum vestrarum,
in omni colle excelso,
et in cunctis summitatibus montium,
et subtus omne lignum nemorosum,
et subtus universam quercum frondosam,
locum ubi accenderunt thura redolentia universis idolis suis.

14 Et extendam manum meam super eos:
et faciam terram desolatam et destitutam,
a deserto Deblatha, in omnibus habitationibus eorum:
et scient quia ego Dominus.]
