1  Now these⁴²⁸ are they that came⁹³⁵ to⁴¹³ David¹⁷³² to Ziklag,⁶⁸⁶⁰ while he yet⁵⁷⁵⁰ kept himself close⁶¹¹³ because^{4480 6440} of Saul⁷⁵⁸⁶ the son¹¹²¹ of Kish:⁷⁰²⁷ and they¹⁹⁹² were among the mighty men,¹³⁶⁸ helpers⁵⁸²⁶ of the war.⁴⁴²¹

2  They were armed⁵⁴⁰¹ with bows,⁷¹⁹⁸ and could use both the right hand³²³¹ and the left⁸⁰⁴¹ in hurling stones⁶⁸ and shooting arrows²⁶⁷¹ out of a bow,⁷¹⁹⁸ even of Saul's brethren^{4480 251 7586} of Benjamin.^{4480 1144}

3  The chief⁷²¹⁸ was Ahiezer,²⁹⁵ then Joash,³¹⁰¹ the sons¹¹²¹ of Shemaah⁸⁰⁹⁴ the Gibeathite;¹³⁹⁵ and Jeziel,³¹⁴⁹ and Pelet,⁶⁴⁰⁴ the sons¹¹²¹ of Azmaveth;⁵⁸²⁰ and Berachah,¹²⁹⁴ and Jehu³⁰⁵⁸ the Antothite,⁶⁰⁶⁹

4  And Ismaiah³⁴⁶⁰ the Gibeonite,¹³⁹³ a mighty man¹³⁶⁸ among the thirty,⁷⁹⁷⁰ and over⁵⁹²¹ the thirty;⁷⁹⁷⁰ and Jeremiah,³⁴¹⁴ and Jahaziel,³¹⁶⁶ and Johanan,³¹¹⁰ and Josabad³¹⁰⁷ the Gederathite,¹⁴⁵²

5  Eluzai,⁴⁹⁸ and Jerimoth,³⁴⁰⁶ and Bealiah,¹¹⁸³ and Shemariah,⁸¹¹⁴ and Shephatiah⁸²⁰³ the Haruphite,²⁷⁴¹

6  Elkanah,⁵¹¹ and Jesiah,³⁴⁴⁹ and Azareel,⁵⁸³² and Joezer,³¹³⁴ and Jashobeam,³⁴³⁴ the Korhites,⁷¹⁴⁵

7  And Joelah,³¹³² and Zebadiah,²⁰⁶⁹ the sons¹¹²¹ of Jeroham³³⁹⁵ of⁴⁴⁸⁰ Gedor.¹⁴⁴⁶

8  And of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the Gadites¹⁴²⁵ there separated themselves⁹¹⁴ unto⁴¹³ David¹⁷³² into the hold⁴⁶⁷⁹ to the wilderness⁴⁰⁵⁷ men¹³⁶⁸ of might,²⁴²⁸ and men³⁷⁶ of war⁶⁶³⁵ fit for the battle,⁴⁴²¹ that could handle⁶¹⁸⁶ shield⁶⁷⁹³ and buckler,⁷⁴²⁰ whose faces⁶⁴⁴⁰ were like the faces⁶⁴⁴⁰ of lions,⁷³⁸ and were as swift⁴¹¹⁶ as the roes⁶⁶⁴³ upon⁵⁹²¹ the mountains;²⁰²²

9  Ezer⁵⁸²⁹ the first,⁷²¹⁸ Obadiah⁵⁶⁶² the second,⁸¹⁴⁵ Eliab⁴⁴⁶ the third,⁷⁹⁹²

10  Mishmannah⁴⁹²⁵ the fourth,⁷²⁴³ Jeremiah³⁴¹⁴ the fifth,²⁵⁴⁹

11  Attai⁶²⁶² the sixth,⁸³⁴⁵ Eliel⁴⁴⁷ the seventh,⁷⁶³⁷

12  Johanan³¹¹⁰ the eighth,⁸⁰⁶⁶ Elzabad⁴⁴³ the ninth,⁸⁶⁷¹

13  Jeremiah³⁴¹⁴ the tenth,⁶²²⁴ Machbanai⁴³⁴⁴ the eleventh.^{6249 6240}

14  These⁴²⁸ were of the sons^{4480 1121} of Gad,¹⁴¹⁰ captains⁷²¹⁸ of the host:⁶⁶³⁵ one²⁵⁹ of the least⁶⁹⁹⁶ was over a hundred,³⁹⁶⁷ and the greatest¹⁴¹⁹ over a thousand.⁵⁰⁵

15  These⁴²⁸ are they¹⁹⁹² that⁸³⁴ went over^{5674 853} Jordan³³⁸³ in the first⁷²²³ month,²³²⁰ when it¹⁹³¹ had overflown^{4390 5921} all³⁶⁰⁵ his banks;¹⁴²⁸ and they put to flight^{1272 853} all³⁶⁰⁵ them of the valleys,⁶⁰¹⁰ both toward the east,⁴²¹⁷ and toward the west.⁴⁶²⁸

16  And there came⁹³⁵ of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the children¹¹²¹ of Benjamin¹¹⁴⁴ and Judah³⁰⁶³ to⁵⁷⁰⁴ the hold⁴⁶⁷⁹ unto David.¹⁷³²

17  And David¹⁷³² went out³³¹⁸ to meet⁶⁴⁴⁰ them, and answered⁶⁰³⁰ and said⁵⁵⁹ unto them, If⁵¹⁸ ye be come⁹³⁵ peaceably⁷⁹⁶⁵ unto⁴¹³ me to help⁵⁸²⁶ me, mine heart³⁸²⁴ shall be¹⁹⁶¹ knit³¹⁶² unto⁵⁹²¹ you: but if⁵¹⁸ ye be come to betray⁷⁴¹¹ me to mine enemies,⁶⁸⁶² seeing there is no³⁸⁰⁸ wrong²⁵⁵⁵ in mine hands,³⁷⁰⁹ the God⁴³⁰ of our fathers¹ look⁷²⁰⁰ thereon, and rebuke³¹⁹⁸ it.

18  Then the spirit⁷³⁰⁷ came upon^{3847 853} Amasai,⁶⁰²² who was chief⁷²¹⁸ of the captains,⁷⁹⁹¹ and he said, Thine are we, David,¹⁷³² and on thy side,⁵⁹⁷³ thou son¹¹²¹ of Jesse:³⁴⁴⁸ peace,⁷⁹⁶⁵ peace⁷⁹⁶⁵ be unto thee, and peace⁷⁹⁶⁵ be to thine helpers;⁵⁸²⁶ for³⁵⁸⁸ thy God⁴³⁰ helpeth⁵⁸²⁶ thee. Then David¹⁷³² received⁶⁹⁰¹ them, and made⁵⁴¹⁴ them captains⁷²¹⁸ of the band.¹⁴¹⁶

19  And there fell⁵³⁰⁷ some of⁴⁴⁸⁰ Manasseh⁴⁵¹⁹ to⁵⁹²¹ David,¹⁷³² when he came⁹³⁵ with⁵⁹⁷³ the Philistines⁶⁴³⁰ against⁵⁹²¹ Saul⁷⁵⁸⁶ to battle:⁴⁴²¹ but they helped⁵⁸²⁶ them not:³⁸⁰⁸ for³⁵⁸⁸ the lords⁵⁶³³ of the Philistines⁶⁴³⁰ upon advisement⁶⁰⁹⁸ sent him away,⁷⁹⁷¹ saying,⁵⁵⁹ He will fall⁵³⁰⁷ to⁴¹³ his master¹¹³ Saul⁷⁵⁸⁶ to the jeopardy of our heads.⁷²¹⁸

20  As he went¹⁹⁸⁰ to⁴¹³ Ziklag,⁶⁸⁶⁰ there fell⁵³⁰⁷ to⁵⁹²¹ him of Manasseh,^{4480 4519} Adnah,⁵⁷³⁴ and Jozabad,³¹⁰⁷ and Jediael,³⁰⁴³ and Michael,⁴³¹⁷ and Jozabad,³¹⁰⁷ and Elihu,⁴⁵³ and Zilthai,⁶⁷⁶⁹ captains⁷²¹⁸ of the thousands⁵⁰⁵ that⁸³⁴ were of Manasseh.⁴⁵¹⁹

21  And they¹⁹⁹² helped^{5826 5973} David¹⁷³² against⁵⁹²¹ the band¹⁴¹⁶ of the rovers: for³⁵⁸⁸ they were all³⁶⁰⁵ mighty men¹³⁶⁸ of valor,²⁴²⁸ and were¹⁹⁶¹ captains⁸²⁶⁹ in the host.⁶⁶³⁵

22  For³⁵⁸⁸ at that time⁶²⁵⁶ day³¹¹⁷ by day³¹¹⁷ there came⁹³⁵ to⁵⁹²¹ David¹⁷³² to help⁵⁸²⁶ him, until⁵⁷⁰⁴ it was a great¹⁴¹⁹ host,⁴²⁶⁴ like the host⁴²⁶⁴ of God.⁴³⁰

23  And these⁴²⁸ are the numbers⁴⁵⁵⁷ of the bands⁷²¹⁸ that were ready armed²⁵⁰² to the war,⁶⁶³⁵ and came⁹³⁵ to⁵⁹²¹ David¹⁷³² to Hebron,²²⁷⁵ to turn⁵⁴³⁷ the kingdom⁴⁴³⁸ of Saul⁷⁵⁸⁶ to⁴¹³ him, according to the word⁶³¹⁰ of the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

24  The children¹¹²¹ of Judah³⁰⁶³ that bore⁵³⁷⁵ shield⁶⁷⁹³ and spear⁷⁴²⁰ were six⁸³³⁷ thousand⁵⁰⁵ and eight⁸⁰⁸³ hundred,³⁹⁶⁷ ready armed²⁵⁰² to the war.⁶⁶³⁵

25  Of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the children¹¹²¹ of Simeon,⁸⁰⁹⁵ mighty men¹³⁶⁸ of valor²⁴²⁸ for the war,⁶⁶³⁵ seven⁷⁶⁵¹ thousand⁵⁰⁵ and one hundred.³⁹⁶⁷

26  Of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the children¹¹²¹ of Levi³⁸⁷⁸ four⁷⁰² thousand⁵⁰⁵ and six⁸³³⁷ hundred.³⁹⁶⁷

27  And Jehoiada³¹¹¹ was the leader⁵⁰⁵⁷ of the Aaronites,¹⁷⁵ and with⁵⁹⁷³ him were three⁷⁹⁶⁹ thousand⁵⁰⁵ and seven⁷⁶⁵¹ hundred;³⁹⁶⁷

28  And Zadok,⁶⁶⁵⁹ a young man⁵²⁸⁸ mighty¹³⁶⁸ of valor,²⁴²⁸ and of his father's¹ house¹⁰⁰⁴ twenty⁶²⁴² and two⁸¹⁴⁷ captains.⁸²⁶⁹

29  And of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the children¹¹²¹ of Benjamin,¹¹⁴⁴ the kindred²⁵¹ of Saul,⁷⁵⁸⁶ three⁷⁹⁶⁹ thousand:⁵⁰⁵ for hitherto^{5704 2008} the greatest part⁴⁷⁶⁸ of them had kept⁸¹⁰⁴ the ward⁴⁹³¹ of the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of Saul.⁷⁵⁸⁶

30  And of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the children¹¹²¹ of Ephraim⁶⁶⁹ twenty⁶²⁴² thousand⁵⁰⁵ and eight⁸⁰⁸³ hundred,³⁹⁶⁷ mighty men¹³⁶⁸ of valor,²⁴²⁸ famous^{376 8034} throughout the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of their fathers.¹

31  And of the half^{4480 2677} tribe⁴²⁹⁴ of Manasseh⁴⁵¹⁹ eighteen^{8083 6240} thousand,⁵⁰⁵ which⁸³⁴ were expressed⁵³⁴⁴ by name,⁸⁰³⁴ to come⁹³⁵ and make David king.^{4427 853 1732}

32  And of the children^{4480 1121} of Issachar,³⁴⁸⁵ which were men that had³⁰⁴⁵ understanding⁹⁹⁸ of the times,⁶²⁵⁶ to know³⁰⁴⁵ what⁴¹⁰⁰ Israel³⁴⁷⁸ ought to do;⁶²¹³ the heads⁷²¹⁸ of them were two hundred;³⁹⁶⁷ and all³⁶⁰⁵ their brethren²⁵¹ were at⁵⁹²¹ their commandment.⁶³¹⁰

33  Of Zebulun,^{4480 2074} such as went forth³³¹⁸ to battle,⁶⁶³⁵ expert⁶¹⁸⁶ in war,⁴⁴²¹ with all³⁶⁰⁵ instruments³⁶²⁷ of war,⁴⁴²¹ fifty²⁵⁷² thousand,⁵⁰⁵ which could keep rank:⁵⁷³⁷ they were not³⁸⁰⁸ of double heart.^{3820 3820}

34  And of Naphtali^{4480 5321} a thousand⁵⁰⁵ captains,⁸²⁶⁹ and with⁵⁹⁷³ them with shield⁶⁷⁹³ and spear²⁵⁹⁵ thirty⁷⁹⁷⁰ and seven⁷⁶⁵¹ thousand.⁵⁰⁵

35  And of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the Danites¹⁸³⁹ expert⁶¹⁸⁶ in war⁴⁴²¹ twenty⁶²⁴² and eight⁸⁰⁸³ thousand⁵⁰⁵ and six⁸³³⁷ hundred.³⁹⁶⁷

36  And of Asher,^{4480 836} such as went forth³³¹⁸ to battle,⁶⁶³⁵ expert⁶¹⁸⁶ in war,⁴⁴²¹ forty⁷⁰⁵ thousand.⁵⁰⁵

37  And on the other side^{4480 5676} of Jordan,³³⁸³ of⁴⁴⁸⁰ the Reubenites,⁷²⁰⁶ and the Gadites,¹⁴²⁵ and of the half²⁶⁷⁷ tribe⁷⁶²⁶ of Manasseh,⁴⁵¹⁹ with all manner³⁶⁰⁵ of instruments³⁶²⁷ of war⁶⁶³⁵ for the battle,⁴⁴²¹ a hundred³⁹⁶⁷ and twenty⁶²⁴² thousand.⁵⁰⁵

38  All³⁶⁰⁵ these⁴²⁸ men³⁷⁶ of war,⁴⁴²¹ that could keep⁵⁷³⁷ rank,⁴⁶³⁴ came⁹³⁵ with a perfect⁸⁰⁰³ heart³⁸²⁴ to Hebron,²²⁷⁵ to make David king^{4427 853 1732} over⁵⁹²¹ all³⁶⁰⁵ Israel:³⁴⁷⁸ and all³⁶⁰⁵ the rest⁷⁶¹¹ also¹⁵⁷¹ of Israel³⁴⁷⁸ were of one²⁵⁹ heart³⁸²⁰ to make David king.^{4427 853 1732}

39  And there⁸⁰³³ they were¹⁹⁶¹ with⁵⁹⁷³ David¹⁷³² three⁷⁹⁶⁹ days,³¹¹⁷ eating³⁹⁸ and drinking:⁸³⁵⁴ for³⁵⁸⁸ their brethren²⁵¹ had prepared³⁵⁵⁹ for them.

40  Moreover¹⁵⁷¹ they that were nigh^{7138 413} them, even unto⁵⁷⁰⁴ Issachar³⁴⁸⁵ and Zebulun²⁰⁷⁴ and Naphtali,⁵³²¹ brought⁹³⁵ bread³⁸⁹⁹ on asses,²⁵⁴³ and on camels,¹⁵⁸¹ and on mules,⁶⁵⁰⁵ and on oxen,¹²⁴¹ and meat,³⁹⁷⁸ meal,⁷⁰⁵⁸ cakes of figs,¹⁶⁹⁰ and bunches of raisins,⁶⁷⁷⁸ and wine,³¹⁹⁶ and oil,⁸⁰⁸¹ and oxen,¹²⁴¹ and sheep⁶⁶²⁹ abundantly:⁷²³⁰ for³⁵⁸⁸ there was joy⁸⁰⁵⁷ in Israel.³⁴⁷⁸

2 καὶ τόξῳ ἐκ δεξιῶν καὶ ἐξ ἀριστερῶν καὶ σφενδονῆται ἐν λίθοις καὶ τόξοις ἐκ τῶν ἀδελφῶν Σαουλ ἐκ Βενιαμιν

3 ὁ ἄρχων Αχιεζερ καὶ Ιωας υἱὸς Ασμα τοῦ Γεβωθίτου καὶ Ιωηλ καὶ Ιωφαλητ υἱοὶ Ασμωθ καὶ Βερχια καὶ Ιηουλ ὁ Αναθωθι

4 καὶ Σαμαιας ὁ Γαβαωνίτης δυνατὸς ἐν τοῖς τριάκοντα καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν τριάκοντα

5 Ιερμιας καὶ Ιεζιηλ καὶ Ιωαναν καὶ Ιωζαβαδ ὁ Γαδαραθι

6 Ελιαζαι καὶ Ιαριμουθ καὶ Βααλια καὶ Σαμαρια καὶ Σαφατια ὁ Χαραιφι

7 Ηλκανα καὶ Ιησουνι καὶ Οζριηλ καὶ Ιωαζαρ καὶ Ιεσβοαμ οἱ Κορῖται

8 καὶ Ελια καὶ Ζαβαδια υἱοὶ Ιρααμ υἱοὶ τοῦ γεδωρ

9 καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ Γαδδι ἐχωρίσθησαν πρὸς Δαυιδ ἀπὸ τῆς ἐρήμου ἰσχυροὶ δυνατοὶ ἄνδρες παρατάξεως πολέμου αἴροντες θυρεοὺς καὶ δόρατα καὶ πρόσωπον λέοντος πρόσωπα αὐτῶν καὶ κοῦφοι ὡς δορκάδες ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων τῷ τάχει

10 Αζερ ὁ ἄρχων Αβδια ὁ δεύτερος Ελιαβ ὁ τρίτος

11 Μασεμαννη ὁ τέταρτος Ιερμια ὁ πέμπτος

12 Εθθι ὁ ἕκτος Ελιαβ ὁ ἕβδομος

13 Ιωαναν ὁ ὄγδοος Ελιαζερ ὁ ἔνατος

14 Ιερμια ὁ δέκατος Μαχαβανναι ὁ ἑνδέκατος

15 οὗτοι ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Γαδ ἄρχοντες τῆς στρατιᾶς εἷς τοῖς ἑκατὸν μικρὸς καὶ μέγας τοῖς χιλίοις

16 οὗτοι οἱ διαβάντες τὸν Ιορδάνην ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πρώτῳ καὶ οὗτος πεπληρωκὼς ἐπὶ πᾶσαν κρηπῖδα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξεδίωξαν πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας αὐλῶνας ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἕως δυσμῶν

17 καὶ ἦλθον ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμιν καὶ Ιουδα εἰς βοήθειαν τοῦ Δαυιδ

18 καὶ Δαυιδ ἐξῆλθεν εἰς ἀπάντησιν αὐτῶν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς εἰ εἰς εἰρήνην ἥκατε πρός με εἴη μοι καρδία καθ᾽ ἑαυτὴν ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς καὶ εἰ τοῦ παραδοῦναί με τοῖς ἐχθροῖς μου οὐκ ἐν ἀληθείᾳ χειρός ἴδοι ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν καὶ ἐλέγξαιτο

19 καὶ πνεῦμα ἐνέδυσε τὸν Αμασαι ἄρχοντα τῶν τριάκοντα καὶ εἶπεν πορεύου καὶ ὁ λαός σου Δαυιδ υἱὸς Ιεσσαι εἰρήνη εἰρήνη σοι καὶ εἰρήνη τοῖς βοηθοῖς σου ὅτι ἐβοήθησέν σοι ὁ θεός σου καὶ προσεδέξατο αὐτοὺς Δαυιδ καὶ κατέστησεν αὐτοὺς ἄρχοντας τῶν δυνάμεων

20 καὶ ἀπὸ Μανασση προσεχώρησαν πρὸς Δαυιδ ἐν τῷ ἐλθεῖν τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους ἐπὶ Σαουλ εἰς πόλεμον καὶ οὐκ ἐβοήθησεν αὐτοῖς ὅτι ἐν βουλῇ ἐγένετο παρὰ τῶν στρατηγῶν τῶν ἀλλοφύλων λεγόντων ἐν ταῖς κεφαλαῖς τῶν ἀνδρῶν ἐκείνων ἐπιστρέψει πρὸς τὸν κύριον αὐτοῦ Σαουλ

21 ἐν τῷ πορευθῆναι αὐτὸν εἰς Σωκλαγ προσεχώρησαν αὐτῷ ἀπὸ Μανασση Εδνα καὶ Ιωζαβαθ καὶ Ιωδιηλ καὶ Μιχαηλ καὶ Ιωσαβεθ καὶ Ελιμουθ καὶ Σελαθι ἀρχηγοὶ χιλιάδων εἰσὶν τοῦ Μανασση

22 καὶ αὐτοὶ συνεμάχησαν τῷ Δαυιδ ἐπὶ τὸν γεδδουρ ὅτι δυνατοὶ ἰσχύος πάντες καὶ ἦσαν ἡγούμενοι ἐν τῇ στρατιᾷ ἐν τῇ δυνάμει

23 ὅτι ἡμέραν ἐξ ἡμέρας ἤρχοντο πρὸς Δαυιδ εἰς δύναμιν μεγάλην ὡς δύναμις θεοῦ

24 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀρχόντων τῆς στρατιᾶς οἱ ἐλθόντες πρὸς Δαυιδ εἰς Χεβρων τοῦ ἀποστρέψαι τὴν βασιλείαν Σαουλ πρὸς αὐτὸν κατὰ τὸν λόγον κυρίου

25 υἱοὶ Ιουδα θυρεοφόροι καὶ δορατοφόροι ἓξ χιλιάδες καὶ ὀκτακόσιοι δυνατοὶ παρατάξεως

26 τῶν υἱῶν Συμεων δυνατοὶ ἰσχύος εἰς παράταξιν ἑπτὰ χιλιάδες καὶ ἑκατόν

27 τῶν υἱῶν Λευι τετρακισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι

28 καὶ Ιωαδαε ὁ ἡγούμενος τῷ Ααρων καὶ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ τρεῖς χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι

29 καὶ Σαδωκ νέος δυνατὸς ἰσχύι καὶ τῆς πατρικῆς οἰκίας αὐτοῦ ἄρχοντες εἴκοσι δύο

30 καὶ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμιν τῶν ἀδελφῶν Σαουλ τρεῖς χιλιάδες καὶ ἔτι τὸ πλεῖστον αὐτῶν ἀπεσκόπει τὴν φυλακὴν οἴκου Σαουλ

31 καὶ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Εφραιμ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες καὶ ὀκτακόσιοι δυνατοὶ ἰσχύι ἄνδρες ὀνομαστοὶ κατ᾽ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν

32 καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασση δέκα ὀκτὼ χιλιάδες οἳ ὠνομάσθησαν ἐν ὀνόματι τοῦ βασιλεῦσαι τὸν Δαυιδ

33 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ισσαχαρ γινώσκοντες σύνεσιν εἰς τοὺς καιρούς γινώσκοντες τί ποιήσαι Ισραηλ εἰς τὰς ἀρχὰς αὐτῶν διακόσιοι καὶ πάντες ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν μετ᾽ αὐτῶν

34 καὶ ἀπὸ Ζαβουλων ἐκπορευόμενοι εἰς παράταξιν πολέμου ἐν πᾶσιν σκεύεσιν πολεμικοῖς πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες βοηθῆσαι τῷ Δαυιδ οὐχ ἑτεροκλινῶς

35 καὶ ἀπὸ Νεφθαλι ἄρχοντες χίλιοι καὶ μετ᾽ αὐτῶν ἐν θυρεοῖς καὶ δόρασιν τριάκοντα ἑπτὰ χιλιάδες

36 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν Δανιτῶν παρατασσόμενοι εἰς πόλεμον εἴκοσι ὀκτὼ χιλιάδες καὶ ὀκτακόσιοι

37 καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ Ασηρ ἐκπορευόμενοι βοηθῆσαι εἰς πόλεμον τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες

38 καὶ ἐκ πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἀπὸ Ρουβην καὶ Γαδδι καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασση ἐν πᾶσιν σκεύεσιν πολεμικοῖς ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι χιλιάδες

39 πάντες οὗτοι ἄνδρες πολεμισταὶ παρατασσόμενοι παράταξιν ἐν ψυχῇ εἰρηνικῇ καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Χεβρων τοῦ βασιλεῦσαι τὸν Δαυιδ ἐπὶ πάντα Ισραηλ καὶ ὁ κατάλοιπος Ισραηλ ψυχὴ μία τοῦ βασιλεῦσαι τὸν Δαυιδ

40 καὶ ἦσαν ἐκεῖ ἡμέρας τρεῖς ἐσθίοντες καὶ πίνοντες ὅτι ἡτοίμασαν αὐτοῖς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν

41 καὶ οἱ ὁμοροῦντες αὐτοῖς ἕως Ισσαχαρ καὶ Ζαβουλων καὶ Νεφθαλι ἔφερον αὐτοῖς ἐπὶ τῶν καμήλων καὶ τῶν ὄνων καὶ τῶν ἡμιόνων καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν μόσχων βρώματα ἄλευρα παλάθας σταφίδας οἶνον καὶ ἔλαιον μόσχους καὶ πρόβατα εἰς πλῆθος ὅτι εὐφροσύνη ἐν Ισραηλ

‎1 ‏וְאֵ֗לֶּה הַבָּאִ֤ים אֶל־דָּוִיד֙ לְצִ֣יקְלַ֔ג ע֣וֹד עָצ֔וּר מִפְּנֵ֖י שָׁא֣וּל בֶּן־קִ֑ישׁ וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ בַּגִּבּוֹרִ֔ים עֹזְרֵ֖י הַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

‎2 ‏נֹ֣שְׁקֵי קֶ֗שֶׁת מַיְמִינִ֤ים וּמַשְׂמִאלִים֙ בָּֽאֲבָנִ֔ים וּבַחִצִּ֖ים בַּקָּ֑שֶׁת מֵאֲחֵ֥י שָׁא֖וּל מִבִּנְיָמִֽן׃

‎3 ‏הָרֹ֨אשׁ אֲחִיעֶ֜זֶר וְיוֹאָ֗שׁ בְּנֵי֙ הַשְּׁמָעָ֣ה הַגִּבְעָתִ֔י ויזואל וִיזִיאֵ֥ל³ וָפֶ֖לֶט בְּנֵ֣י עַזְמָ֑וֶת וּבְרָכָ֕ה וְיֵה֖וּא הָעֲנְּתֹתִֽי׃

‎4 ‏וְיִֽשְׁמַֽעְיָ֧ה הַגִּבְעוֹנִ֛י גִּבּ֥וֹר בַּשְּׁלֹשִׁ֖ים וְעַל־הַשְּׁלֹשִֽׁים׃

‎5 ‏וְיִרְמְיָ֤ה וְיַחֲזִיאֵל֙ וְי֣וֹחָנָ֔ן וְיוֹזָבָ֖ד הַגְּדֵרָתִֽי׃

‎6 ‏אֶלְעוּזַ֤י וִירִימוֹת֙ וּבְעַלְיָ֣ה וּשְׁמַרְיָ֔הוּ וּשְׁפַטְיָ֖הוּ החריפי הַחֲרוּפִֽי׃

‎7 ‏אֶלְקָנָ֡ה וְ֠יִשִּׁיָּהוּ וַעֲזַרְאֵ֧ל וְיוֹעֶ֛זֶר וְיָשָׁבְעָ֖ם הַקָּרְחִֽים׃

‎8 ‏וְיוֹעֵאלָ֧ה וּזְבַדְיָ֛ה בְּנֵ֥י יְרֹחָ֖ם מִן־הַגְּדֽוֹר׃

‎9 ‏וּמִן־הַגָּדִ֡י נִבְדְּל֣וּ אֶל־דָּוִיד֩ לַמְצַ֨ד מִדְבָּ֜רָה גִּבֹּרֵ֣י הַחַ֗יִל אַנְשֵׁ֤י צָבָא֙ לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה עֹרְכֵ֥י צִנָּ֖ה וָרֹ֑מַח וּפְנֵ֤י אַרְיֵה֙ פְּנֵיהֶ֔ם וְכִצְבָאיִ֥ם עַל־הֶהָרִ֖ים לְמַהֵֽר׃ ס

‎10 ‏עֵ֖זֶר הָרֹ֑אשׁ עֹבַדְיָה֙ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י אֱלִיאָ֖ב הַשְּׁלִשִֽׁי׃

‎11 ‏מִשְׁמַנָּה֙ הָרְבִיעִ֔י יִרְמְיָ֖ה הַחֲמִשִֽׁי׃

‎12 ‏עַתַּי֙ הַשִּׁשִּׁ֔י אֱלִיאֵ֖ל הַשְּׁבִעִֽי׃

‎13 ‏יֽוֹחָנָן֙ הַשְּׁמִינִ֔י אֶלְזָבָ֖ד הַתְּשִׁיעִֽי׃

‎14 ‏יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ הָעֲשִׂירִ֔י סמַכְבַּנַּ֖י עַשְׁתֵּ֥י עָשָֽׂר׃

‎15 ‏אֵ֥לֶּה מִבְּנֵי־גָ֖ד רָאשֵׁ֣י הַצָּבָ֑א אֶחָ֤ד לְמֵאָה֙ הַקָּטָ֔ן וְהַגָּד֖וֹל לְאָֽלֶף׃

‎16 ‏אֵ֣לֶּה הֵ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָבְר֤וּ אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן֙ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֔וֹן וְה֥וּא מְמַלֵּ֖א עַל־כָּל־גדיתיו גְּדוֹתָ֑יו וַיַּבְרִ֙יחוּ֙ אֶת־כָּל־הָ֣עֲמָקִ֔ים לַמִּזְרָ֖ח וְלַֽמַּעֲרָֽב׃ ס

‎17 ‏וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ מִן־בְּנֵ֤י בִנְיָמִן֙ וִֽיהוּדָ֔ה עַד־לַמְצָ֖ד לְדָוִֽיד׃

‎18 ‏וַיֵּצֵ֣א דָוִיד֮ לִפְנֵיהֶם֒ וַיַּ֙עַן֙ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֔ם אִם־לְשָׁל֞וֹם בָּאתֶ֤ם אֵלַי֙ לְעָזְרֵ֔נִי יִֽהְיֶה־לִּ֧י עֲלֵיכֶ֛ם לֵבָ֖ב לְיָ֑חַד וְאִֽם־לְרַמּוֹתַ֣נִי לְצָרַ֗י בְּלֹ֤א חָמָס֙ בְּכַפַּ֔י יֵ֛רֶא אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֲבוֹתֵ֖ינוּ וְיוֹכַֽח׃ ס

‎19 ‏וְר֣וּחַ לָבְשָׁ֗ה אֶת־עֲמָשַׂי֮ רֹ֣אשׁ השלושים הַשָּׁלִישִׁים֒ לְךָ֤ דָוִיד֙ וְעִמְּךָ֣ בֶן־יִשַׁ֔י שָׁל֨וֹם׀ שָׁל֜וֹם לְךָ֗ וְשָׁלוֹם֙ לְעֹ֣זְרֶ֔ךָ כִּ֥י עֲזָרְךָ֖ אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ וַיְקַבְּלֵ֣ם דָּוִ֔יד וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖ם בְּרָאשֵׁ֥י הַגְּדֽוּד׃ פ

‎20 ‏וּמִֽמְּנַשֶּׁ֞ה נָפְל֣וּ עַל־דָּוִ֗יד בְּבֹא֨וֹ עִם־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֧ים עַל־שָׁא֛וּל לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה וְלֹ֣א עֲזָרֻ֑ם כִּ֣י בְעֵצָ֗ה שִׁלְּחֻ֜הוּ סַרְנֵ֤י פְלִשְׁתִּים֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בְּרָאשֵׁ֕ינוּ יִפּ֖וֹל אֶל־אֲדֹנָ֥יו שָׁאֽוּל׃

‎21 ‏בְּלֶכְתּ֣וֹ אֶל־צִֽיקְלַ֗ג נָפְל֣וּ עָלָ֣יו׀ מִֽמְּנַשֶּׁ֡ה עַ֠דְנַח וְיוֹזָבָ֤ד וִידִֽיעֲאֵל֙ וּמִיכָאֵ֣ל וְיוֹזָבָ֔ד וֶאֱלִיה֖וּא וְצִלְּתָ֑י רָאשֵׁ֥י הָאֲלָפִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר לִמְנַשֶּֽׁה׃

‎22 ‏וְהֵ֗מָּה עָזְר֤וּ עִם־דָּוִיד֙ עַֽל־הַגְּד֔וּד כִּֽי־גִבּ֥וֹרֵי חַ֖יִל כֻּלָּ֑ם וַיִּהְי֥וּ שָׂרִ֖ים בַּצָּבָֽא׃

‎23 ‏כִּ֚י לְעֶת־י֣וֹם בְּי֔וֹם יָבֹ֥אוּ עַל־דָּוִ֖יד לְעָזְר֑וֹ עַד־לְמַחֲנֶ֥ה גָד֖וֹל כְּמַחֲנֵ֥ה אֱלֹהִֽים׃ פ

‎24 ‏וְ֠אֵלֶּה מִסְפְּרֵ֞י רָאשֵׁ֤י הֶֽחָלוּץ֙ לַצָּבָ֔א בָּ֥אוּ עַל־דָּוִ֖יד חֶבְר֑וֹנָה³ לְהָסֵ֞ב מַלְכ֥וּת שָׁא֛וּל אֵלָ֖יו כְּפִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ ס

‎25 ‏בְּנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה נֹשְׂאֵ֥י צִנָּ֖ה וָרֹ֑מַח שֵׁ֧שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֛ים וּשְׁמוֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת חֲלוּצֵ֥י צָבָֽא׃ ס

‎26 ‏מִן־בְּנֵ֣י שִׁמְע֗וֹן גִּבּ֤וֹרֵי חַ֙יִל֙ לַצָּבָ֔א שִׁבְעַ֥ת אֲלָפִ֖ים וּמֵאָֽה׃ ס

‎27 ‏מִן־בְּנֵי֙ הַלֵּוִ֔י אַרְבַּ֥עַת אֲלָפִ֖ים וְשֵׁ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃ ס

‎28 ‏וִיהוֹיָדָ֖ע הַנָּגִ֣יד לְאַהֲרֹ֑ן וְעִמּ֕וֹ שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת³ אֲלָפִ֖ים וּשְׁבַ֥ע מֵאֽוֹת׃ ס

‎29 ‏וְצָד֥וֹק נַ֖עַר גִּבּ֣וֹר חָ֑יִל וּבֵית־אָבִ֥יו שָׂרִ֖ים עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ ס

‎30 ‏וּמִן־בְּנֵ֧י בִנְיָמִ֛ן אֲחֵ֥י שָׁא֖וּל שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֑ים וְעַד־הֵ֙נָּה֙ מַרְבִּיתָ֔ם שֹׁמְרִ֕ים מִשְׁמֶ֖רֶת בֵּ֥ית שָׁאֽוּל׃ ס

‎31 ‏וּמִן־בְּנֵ֣י אֶפְרַ֔יִם עֶשְׂרִ֥ים אֶ֖לֶף וּשְׁמוֹנֶ֣ה מֵא֑וֹת גִּבּ֣וֹרֵי חַ֔יִל אַנְשֵׁ֥י שֵׁמ֖וֹת לְבֵ֥ית אֲבוֹתָֽם׃ ס

‎32 ‏וּמֵחֲצִי֙ מַטֵּ֣ה מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה שְׁמוֹנָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר אָ֑לֶף אֲשֶׁ֤ר נִקְּבוּ֙ בְּשֵׁמ֔וֹת לָב֖וֹא לְהַמְלִ֥יךְ אֶת־דָּוִֽיד׃ ס

‎33 ‏וּמִבְּנֵ֣י יִשָּׂשכָ֗ר יוֹדְעֵ֤י בִינָה֙ לַֽעִתִּ֔ים לָדַ֖עַת מַה־יַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל רָאשֵׁיהֶ֣ם מָאתַ֔יִם וְכָל־אֲחֵיהֶ֖ם עַל־פִּיהֶֽם׃ ס

‎34 ‏מִזְּבֻל֞וּן יוֹצְאֵ֣י צָבָ֗א עֹרְכֵ֧י מִלְחָמָ֛ה בְּכָל־כְּלֵ֥י מִלְחָמָ֖ה חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים אָ֑לֶף וְלַעֲדֹ֖ר בְּלֹא־לֵ֥ב וָלֵֽב׃ ס

‎35 ‏וּמִנַּפְתָּלִ֖י שָׂרִ֣ים אָ֑לֶף וְעִמָּהֶם֙ בְּצִנָּ֣ה וַחֲנִ֔ית שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים וְשִׁבְעָ֖ה אָֽלֶף׃ ס

‎36 ‏וּמִן־הַדָּנִי֙ עֹרְכֵ֣י מִלְחָמָ֔ה עֶשְׂרִֽים־וּשְׁמוֹנָ֥ה אֶ֖לֶף וְשֵׁ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃ ס

‎37 ‏וּמֵאָשֵׁ֗ר יוֹצְאֵ֥י צָבָ֛א לַעֲרֹ֥ךְ מִלְחָמָ֖ה אַרְבָּעִ֥ים אָֽלֶף׃ ס

‎38 ‏וּמֵעֵ֣בֶר לַ֠יַּרְדֵּן מִן־הָראוּבֵנִ֨י וְהַגָּדִ֜י וַחֲצִ֣י׀ שֵׁ֣בֶט מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה בְּכֹל֙ כְּלֵי֙ צְבָ֣א מִלְחָמָ֔ה מֵאָ֥ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים אָֽלֶף׃

‎39 ‏כָּל־אֵ֜לֶּה אַנְשֵׁ֣י מִלְחָמָה֮ עֹדְרֵ֣י מַעֲרָכָה֒ בְּלֵבָ֤ב שָׁלֵם֙ בָּ֣אוּ חֶבְר֔וֹנָה לְהַמְלִ֥יךְ אֶת־דָּוִ֖יד עַל־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְ֠גַם כָּל־שֵׁרִ֧ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל לֵ֥ב אֶחָ֖ד לְהַמְלִ֥יךְ אֶת־דָּוִֽיד׃

‎40 ‏וַיִּהְיוּ־שָׁ֤ם עִם־דָּוִיד֙ יָמִ֣ים שְׁלוֹשָׁ֔ה אֹכְלִ֖ים וְשׁוֹתִ֑ים כִּֽי־הֵכִ֥ינוּ לָהֶ֖ם אֲחֵיהֶֽם׃

‎41 ‏וְגַ֣ם הַקְּרֽוֹבִים־אֲ֠לֵיהֶם עַד־יִשָׂשכָ֨ר וּזְבֻל֜וּן וְנַפְתָּלִ֗י מְבִיאִ֣ים לֶ֡חֶם בַּחֲמוֹרִ֣ים וּבַגְּמַלִּ֣ים וּבַפְּרָדִ֣ים׀ וּֽבַבָּקָ֡ר מַאֲכָ֡ל קֶ֠מַח דְּבֵלִ֨ים וְצִמּוּקִ֧ים וְיַֽיִן־וְשֶׁ֛מֶן וּבָקָ֥ר וְצֹ֖אן לָרֹ֑ב כִּ֥י שִׂמְחָ֖ה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ

17 Egressusque est David obviam eis, et ait: Si pacifice venistis ad me ut auxiliemini mihi, cor meum jungatur vobis: si autem insidiamini mihi pro adversariis meis, cum ego iniquitatem in manibus non habeam, videat Deus patrum nostrorum, et judicet.

18 Spiritus vero induit Amasai principem inter triginta, et ait: Tui sumus, o David, et tecum, fili Isai. Pax, pax tibi, et pax adjutoribus tuis: te enim adjuvat Deus tuus. Suscepit ergo eos David, et constituit principes turmæ.

19 Porro de Manasse transfugerunt ad David, quando veniebat cum Philisthiim adversus Saul ut pugnaret: et non dimicavit cum eis, quia inito consilio remiserunt eum principes Philisthinorum, dicentes: Periculo capitis nostri revertetur ad dominum suum Saul.

20 Quando igitur reversus est in Siceleg, transfugerunt ad eum de Manasse, Ednas, et Jozabad, et Jedihel, et Michaël, et Ednas, et Jozabad, et Eliu, et Salathi, principes millium in Manasse.

21 Hi præbuerunt auxilium David adversus latrunculos: omnes enim erant viri fortissimi, et facti sunt principes in exercitu.

22 Sed et per singulos dies veniebant ad David ad auxiliandum ei, usque dum fieret grandis numerus, quasi exercitus Dei.

23 Iste quoque est numerus principum exercitus qui venerunt ad David cum esset in Hebron, ut transferrent regnum Saul ad eum, juxta verbum Domini.

31 Et ex dimidia tribu Manasse, decem et octo millia, singuli per nomina sua, venerunt ut constituerent regem David.

32 De filiis quoque Issachar viri eruditi, qui noverant singula tempora ad præcipiendum quid facere deberet Israël, principes ducenti: omnis autem reliqua tribus eorum consilium sequebatur.

33 Porro de Zabulon qui egrediebantur ad prælium, et stabant in acie instructi armis bellicis, quinquaginta millia venerunt in auxilium, non in corde duplici.

34 Et de Nephthali, principes mille, et cum eis instructi clypeo et hasta, triginta et septem millia.

35 De Dan etiam præparati ad prælium, viginti octo millia sexcenti.

36 Et de Aser egredientes ad pugnam, et in acie provocantes, quadraginta millia.

37 Trans Jordanem autem de filiis Ruben, et de Gad, et dimidia parte tribus Manasse, instructi armis bellicis, centum viginti millia.

38 Omnes isti viri bellatores expediti ad pugnandum, corde perfecto venerunt in Hebron, ut constituerent regem David super universum Israël: sed et omnes reliqui ex Israël uno corde erant, ut rex fieret David.

39 Fueruntque ibi apud David tribus diebus comedentes et bibentes: præparaverant enim eis fratres sui.

40 Sed et qui juxta eos erant, usque ad Issachar, et Zabulon, et Nephthali, afferebant panes in asinis, et camelis, et mulis, et bobus ad vescendum: farinam, palathas, uvam passam, vinum, oleum, boves, arietes ad omnem copiam: gaudium quippe erat in Israël.
