Le Livre de Michée
Chapître 7
- 1
- Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: [there is] no cluster to eat:2 my soul desired14 the firstripe fruit.
- 2
- The good [man] is perished1 out of the earth: and [there is] none upright among men: they all lie in wait4 for blood; they hunt4 every man his brother with a net.
- 3
- That they may do evil with both hands earnestly,53 the prince asketh,6 and the judge6 [asketh] for a reward; and the great [man], he uttereth6 his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.17
- 4
- The best of them [is] as a brier: the most upright [is sharper] than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen18 [and] thy visitation cometh;1 now shall be their perplexity.
- 5
- Trust55 ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence4 in a guide: keep3 the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth6 in thy bosom.
- 6
- For the son dishonoureth18 the father, the daughter riseth up5 against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies6 [are] the men of his own house.
- 7
- Therefore I will look17 unto the LORD; I will wait55 for the God of my salvation: my God will hear4 me.
- 8
- Rejoice4 not against me, O mine enemy:6 when I fall,1 I shall arise;1 when I sit4 in darkness, the LORD [shall be] a light unto me.
- 9
- I will bear4 the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned1 against him, until he plead4 my cause, and execute1 judgment for me: he will bring me forth55 to the light, [and] I shall behold4 his righteousness.
- 10
- Then [she that is] mine enemy6 shall see4 [it], and shame shall cover17 her which said6 unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold4 her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
- 11
- [In] the day that thy walls are to be built,2 [in] that day shall the decree be far removed.4
- 12
- [In] that day [also] he shall come4 even to thee from Assyria, and [from] the fortified 4692 cities, and from the fortress 4692 even to the river, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain.
- 13
- Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell6 therein, for the fruit of their doings.
- 14
- Feed3 thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell6 solitarily [in] the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed4 [in] Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
- 15
- According to the days of thy coming out2 of the land of Egypt will I shew55 unto him marvellous12 [things].
- 16
- The nations shall see4 and be confounded4 at all their might: they shall lay4 [their] hand upon [their] mouth, their ears shall be deaf.4
- 17
- They shall lick17 the dust like a serpent, they shall move4 out of their holes like worms5 of the earth: they shall be afraid4 of the LORD our God, and shall fear4 because of thee.
- 18
- Who [is] a God like unto thee, that pardoneth6 iniquity, and passeth by6 the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth52 not his anger for ever, because he delighteth1 [in] mercy.
- 19
- He will turn again,4 he will have compassion17 upon us; he will subdue4 our iniquities; and thou wilt cast55 all their sins into the depths of the sea.
- 20
- Thou wilt perform4 the truth to Jacob, [and] the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn8 unto our fathers from the days of old.
