Chapître 3

1

Then said⁴ the LORD unto me, Go³ yet, love³ a woman beloved⁷ of [her] friend, yet an adulteress,¹⁸ according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look⁶ to other gods, and love⁶ flagons of wine.

So I bought⁴ her to me for fifteen ²⁵⁶⁸ [pieces] of silver, and [for] an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:

And I said⁴ unto her, Thou shalt abide⁴ for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot,⁴ and thou shalt not be⁴ for [another] man: so [will] I also [be] for thee.

For the children of Israel shall abide⁴ many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and [without] teraphim:

 Afterward shall the children of Israel return,⁴ and seek¹⁴ the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear¹ the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
