Le Livre du Prophète Ésaïe

Chapître 52

1

 Awake,³ awake;³ put on³ thy strength, O Zion; put on³ thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more⁵⁵ come⁴ into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.

 Shake¹⁰⁰ thyself from the dust; arise,³ [and] sit down,³ O Jerusalem: loose¹⁰⁰ thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

For thus saith¹ the LORD, Ye have sold⁸ yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed¹¹ without money.

4

For thus saith¹ the Lord GOD, My people went down¹ aforetime into Egypt to sojourn² there; and the Assyrian oppressed¹ them without cause.

Now therefore, what have I here, saith⁷ the LORD, that my people is taken away²⁷ for nought? they that rule⁶ over them make them to howl,⁵⁵ saith⁷ the LORD; and my name continually every day [is] blasphemed.¹¹⁴

Therefore my people shall know⁴ my name: therefore [they shall know] in that day that I [am] he that doth speak:¹⁸ behold, [it is] I.

How beautiful⁴³ upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,¹⁸ that publisheth⁵⁶ peace; that bringeth good tidings¹⁸ of good, that publisheth⁵⁶ salvation; that saith⁶ unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!¹

Thy watchmen⁶ shall lift up¹ the voice; with the voice together shall they sing:¹⁷ for they shall see⁴ eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again² Zion.

9

Break forth into joy,³ sing¹⁶ together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted¹⁴ his people, he hath redeemed¹ Jerusalem.

10

The LORD hath made bare¹ his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see¹ the salvation of our God.

11

 Depart³ ye, depart³ ye, go ye out³ from thence, touch⁴ no unclean [thing]; go ye out³ of the midst of her; be ye clean,¹⁰ that bear⁶ the vessels of the LORD.

12

For ye shall not go out⁴ with haste, nor go⁴ by flight: for the LORD will go⁶ before you; and the God of Israel [will be] your rereward.¹⁸

13

Behold, my servant shall deal prudently,⁵⁵ he shall be exalted⁴ and extolled,⁸ and be very high.¹

14

As many were astonied¹ at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

15

So shall he sprinkle⁵⁵ many nations; the kings shall shut⁴ their mouths at him: for [that] which had not been told²⁷ them shall they see;¹ and [that] which they had not heard¹ shall they consider.¹¹⁰
