Le Livre du Prophète Ésaïe

Chapître 52

1
Awake,3 awake;3 put on3 thy strength, O Zion; put on3 thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more55 come4 into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.

2
Shake100 thyself from the dust; arise,3 [and] sit down,3 O Jerusalem: loose100 thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

3
For thus saith1 the LORD, Ye have sold8 yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed11 without money.

4
For thus saith1 the Lord GOD, My people went down1 aforetime into Egypt to sojourn2 there; and the Assyrian oppressed1 them without cause.

5
Now therefore, what have I here, saith7 the LORD, that my people is taken away27 for nought? they that rule6 over them make them to howl,55 saith7 the LORD; and my name continually every day [is] blasphemed.114

6
Therefore my people shall know4 my name: therefore [they shall know] in that day that I [am] he that doth speak:18 behold, [it is] I.

7
How beautiful43 upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,18 that publisheth56 peace; that bringeth good tidings18 of good, that publisheth56 salvation; that saith6 unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!1

8
Thy watchmen6 shall lift up1 the voice; with the voice together shall they sing:17 for they shall see4 eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again2 Zion.

9
Break forth into joy,3 sing16 together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted14 his people, he hath redeemed1 Jerusalem.

10
The LORD hath made bare1 his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see1 the salvation of our God.

11
Depart3 ye, depart3 ye, go ye out3 from thence, touch4 no unclean [thing]; go ye out3 of the midst of her; be ye clean,10 that bear6 the vessels of the LORD.

12
For ye shall not go out4 with haste, nor go4 by flight: for the LORD will go6 before you; and the God of Israel [will be] your rereward.18

13
Behold, my servant shall deal prudently,55 he shall be exalted4 and extolled,8 and be very high.1

14
As many were astonied1 at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

15
So shall he sprinkle55 many nations; the kings shall shut4 their mouths at him: for [that] which had not been told27 them shall they see;1 and [that] which they had not heard1 shall they consider.110
