1: Bless¹⁶ the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great;¹ thou art clothed¹ with honour and majesty.
2: Who coverest⁶ [thyself] with light as [with] a garment: who stretchest out⁶ the heavens like a curtain:
3: Who layeth the beams¹⁸ of his chambers in the waters: who maketh⁶ the clouds his chariot: who walketh¹⁸ upon the wings of the wind:
4: Who maketh⁶ his angels spirits; his ministers¹⁸ a flaming⁶ fire:
5: [Who] laid¹ the foundations of the earth, [that] it should not be removed¹¹ for ever. ⁵⁷⁰³
6: Thou coveredst¹⁴ it with the deep as [with] a garment: the waters stood⁴ above the mountains.
7: At thy rebuke they fled;⁴ at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.¹¹
8: They go up⁴ by the mountains; they go down⁴ by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded¹ for them.
9: Thou hast set¹ a bound that they may not pass over;⁴ that they turn not again⁴ to cover¹⁵ the earth.
10: He sendeth¹⁸ the springs into the valleys, [which] run¹⁷ among the hills.
11: They give drink⁵⁵ to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench⁴ their thirst.
12: By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation,⁴ [which] sing⁴ ⁶⁹⁶³ among the branches.
13: He watereth⁵⁶ the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied⁴ with the fruit of thy works.
14: He causeth the grass to grow⁵⁶ for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth⁵³ food out of the earth;
15: And wine [that] maketh glad¹⁷ the heart of man, [and] oil to make [his] face to shine,⁵³ and bread [which] strengtheneth⁴ man's heart.
16: The trees of the LORD are full⁴ [of sap]; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;¹
17: Where the birds make their nests:¹⁷ [as for] the stork, the fir trees [are] her house.
18: The high hills [are] a refuge for the wild goats; [and] the rocks for the conies.
19: He appointed¹ the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth¹ his going down.
20: Thou makest⁴ darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep⁴ [forth].
21: The young lions roar⁶ after their prey, and seek¹⁵ their meat from God.
22: The sun ariseth,⁴ they gather¹¹ themselves together, and lay them down⁴ in their dens.
23: Man goeth forth⁴ unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
24: O LORD, how manifold¹ are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made¹ them all: the earth is full¹ of thy riches.
25: [So is] this great and wide ³⁰²⁷ sea, wherein [are] things creeping innumerable, ⁴⁵⁵⁷ both small and great beasts.
26: There go¹⁷ the ships: [there is] that leviathan, [whom] thou hast made¹ to play¹⁵ therein.
27: These wait¹⁷ all upon thee; that thou mayest give² [them] their meat in due season.
28: [That] thou givest⁴ them they gather:⁴ thou openest⁴ thine hand, they are filled⁴ with good.
29: Thou hidest⁵⁵ thy face, they are troubled:¹¹ thou takest away⁴ their breath, they die,⁴ and return⁴ to their dust.
30: Thou sendest¹⁷ forth thy spirit, they are created:¹¹ and thou renewest¹⁷ the face of the earth.
31: The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice⁴ in his works.
32: He looketh⁵⁶ on the earth, and it trembleth:⁴ he toucheth⁴ the hills, and they smoke.⁴
33: I will sing⁴ unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise¹⁷ to my God while I have my being.
34: My meditation of him shall be sweet:⁴ I will be glad⁴ in the LORD.
35: Let the sinners be consumed¹¹ out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless¹⁶ thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise¹⁶ ye the LORD.
