Le Livre des Psaumes
Chapître 94
- 1
- O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew54 thyself.
- 2
- Lift up10 thyself, thou judge6 of the earth: render54 a reward to the proud.
- 3
- LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?4
- 4
- [How long] shall they utter55 [and] speak17 hard things? [and] all the workers6 of iniquity boast101 themselves?
- 5
- They break in pieces17 thy people, O LORD, and afflict17 thine heritage.
- 6
- They slay4 the widow and the stranger, and murder17 the fatherless.
- 7
- Yet they say,4 The LORD shall not see,4 neither shall the God of Jacob regard4 [it].
- 8
- Understand,3 ye brutish6 among the people: and [ye] fools, when will ye be wise?55
- 9
- He that planted6 the ear, shall he not hear?4 he that formed6 the eye, shall he not see?55
- 10
- He that chastiseth6 the heathen, shall not he correct?55 he that teacheth18 man knowledge, [shall not he know]?
- 11
- The LORD knoweth6 the thoughts of man, that they [are] vanity.
- 12
- Blessed [is] the man whom thou chastenest,17 O LORD, and teachest17 him out of thy law;
- 13
- That thou mayest give him rest53 from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged11 for the wicked.
- 14
- For the LORD will not cast off4 his people, neither will he forsake4 his inheritance.
- 15
- But judgment shall return4 unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
- 16
- Who will rise up4 for me against the evildoers?56 [or] who will stand up101 for me against the workers6 of iniquity?
- 17
- Unless the LORD [had been] my help, my soul had almost dwelt1 in silence.
- 18
- When I said,1 My foot slippeth;1 thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.4
- 19
- In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight46 my soul.
- 20
- Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship29 with thee, which frameth6 mischief by a law?
- 21
- They gather themselves together4 against the soul of the righteous, and condemn55 the innocent blood.
- 22
- But the LORD is my defence; and my God [is] the rock of my refuge.
- 23
- And he shall bring55 upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off55 in their own wickedness; [yea], the LORD our God shall cut them off.55
