Chapître 65

1

To the chief Musician,¹⁸ A Psalm [and] Song of David.
Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.²⁹

2

O thou that hearest⁶ prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.⁴

3

 Iniquities ⁵⁷⁷¹ prevail¹ against me: [as for] our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.¹⁷

4

 Blessed [is the man whom] thou choosest,⁴ and causest to approach¹⁷ [unto thee, that] he may dwell⁴ in thy courts: we shall be satisfied⁴ with the goodness of thy house, [even] of thy holy temple.

[By] terrible things¹² in righteousness wilt thou answer⁴ us, O God of our salvation; [who art] the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off [upon] the sea:

Which by his strength setteth fast⁵⁶ the mountains; [being] girded¹² with power:

7

Which stilleth⁵⁶ the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

They also that dwell⁶ in the uttermost parts are afraid⁴ at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.⁵⁵

Thou visitest¹ the earth, and waterest³⁴ it: thou greatly enrichest⁵⁵ it with the river of God, [which] is full¹ of water: thou preparest⁵⁵ them corn, when thou hast so provided⁵⁵ for it.

Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly:¹⁶ thou settlest¹⁵ the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft³⁴ with showers: thou blessest¹⁷ the springing thereof.

Thou crownest¹⁴ the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop⁴ fatness.

12

They drop⁴ [upon] the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.⁴

13

The pastures are clothed¹ with flocks; the valleys also are covered over⁴ with corn; they shout for joy,¹¹³ they also sing.⁴
