Chapître 61

1

To the chief Musician¹⁸ upon Neginah, [A Psalm] of David.
Hear³ my cry, O God; attend⁵⁴ unto my prayer.

2

From the end of the earth will I cry⁴ unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed:² lead⁵⁵ me to the rock [that] is higher⁴ than I.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, [and] a strong tower from the enemy.⁶

4

I will abide⁴ in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust⁴ in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

For thou, O God, hast heard¹ my vows: thou hast given¹ [me] the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Thou wilt prolong^{55 3117} the king's life: [and] his years as many generations.

7

He shall abide⁴ before God for ever: O prepare¹⁶ mercy and truth, [which] may preserve⁴ him.

8

So will I sing praise¹⁷ unto thy name for ever, that I may daily ³¹¹⁷ perform¹⁵ my vows.
