Chapître 46

1

To the chief Musician¹⁸ for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.
God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present⁸ help in trouble.

2

Therefore will not we fear,⁴ though the earth be removed,⁵³ and though the mountains be carried² into the midst of the sea;

3

[Though] the waters thereof roar⁴ [and] be troubled,⁴ [though] the mountains shake⁴ with the swelling thereof. Selah.

4

[There is] a river, the streams whereof shall make glad¹⁷ the city of God, the holy [place] of the tabernacles of the most High.

5

 God [is] in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:¹¹ God shall help⁴ her, [and that] right² early.

6

The heathen raged,¹ the kingdoms were moved:¹ he uttered¹ his voice, the earth melted.⁴

7

The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.

8

 Come,³ behold³ the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made¹ in the earth.

9

He maketh wars to cease⁵⁶ unto the end of the earth; he breaketh¹⁷ the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder;¹⁴ he burneth⁴ the chariot in the fire.

10

Be still,⁵⁴ and know³ that I [am] God: I will be exalted⁴ among the heathen, I will be exalted⁴ in the earth.

The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.
