Chapître 20

1

To the chief Musician,¹⁸ A Psalm of David.
The LORD hear⁴ thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend¹⁷ thee;

2

 Send⁴ thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen⁴ thee out of Zion;

3

 Remember⁴ all thy offerings, and accept¹⁷ thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

4

 Grant⁴ thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil¹⁷ all thy counsel.

We will rejoice¹⁷ in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up [our] banners:⁴ the LORD fulfil¹⁷ all thy petitions.

6

Now know¹ I that the LORD saveth⁵² his anointed; he will hear⁴ him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

7

Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember⁵⁵ the name of the LORD our God.

8

They are brought down¹ and fallen:¹ but we are risen,¹ and stand upright.¹⁰⁴

9

 Save,⁵⁴ LORD: let the king hear⁴ us when we call.²
