Chapître 13

1

To the chief Musician,¹⁸ A Psalm of David.
How long wilt thou forget⁴ me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide⁵⁵ thy face from me?

How long shall I take⁴ counsel in my soul, [having] sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy⁶ be exalted⁴ over me?

 Consider⁵⁴ [and] hear³ me, O LORD my God: lighten⁵⁴ mine eyes, lest I sleep⁴ the [sleep of] death;

4

Lest mine enemy⁶ say,⁴ I have prevailed¹ against him; [and] those that trouble me rejoice⁴ when I am moved.¹¹

5

But I have trusted¹ in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice⁴ in thy salvation.

I will sing⁴ unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully¹ with me.
