Le Livre des Psaumes
Chapître 10
- 1
- Why standest4 thou afar off, O LORD? [why] hidest55 thou [thyself] in times of trouble?
- 2
- The wicked in [his] pride doth persecute4 the poor: let them be taken11 in the devices that they have imagined.1
- 3
- For the wicked boasteth14 of his heart's desire, and blesseth14 the covetous,6 [whom] the LORD abhorreth.14
- 4
- The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek4 [after God]: God [is] not in all his thoughts.
- 5
- His ways are always grievous;4 thy judgments [are] far above out of his sight: [as for] all his enemies,6 he puffeth55 at them.
- 6
- He hath said1 in his heart, I shall not be moved:11 for [I shall] never 1755 [be] in adversity.
- 7
- His mouth is full1 of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue [is] mischief and vanity.
- 8
- He sitteth4 in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder4 the innocent: his eyes are privily set4 against the poor.
- 9
- He lieth in wait4 secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait4 to catch2 the poor: he doth catch4 the poor, when he draweth2 him into his net.
- 10
- He croucheth,4 [and] humbleth4 himself, that the poor 2426 2489 may fall1 by his strong ones.
- 11
- He hath said1 in his heart, God hath forgotten:1 he hideth52 his face; he will never 5331 see1 [it].
- 12
- Arise,3 O LORD; O God, lift up3 thine hand: forget4 not the humble. 6041
- 13
- Wherefore doth the wicked contemn14 God? he hath said1 in his heart, Thou wilt not require4 [it].
- 14
- Thou hast seen1 [it]; for thou beholdest55 mischief and spite, to requite2 [it] with thy hand: the poor committeth4 himself unto thee; thou art the helper6 of the fatherless.
- 15
- Break3 thou the arm of the wicked and the evil [man]: seek out4 his wickedness [till] thou find4 none.
- 16
- The LORD [is] King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished1 out of his land.
- 17
- LORD, thou hast heard1 the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare55 their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:55
- 18
- To judge2 the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more55 oppress.2
