Chapître 12

1

And the LORD spake¹⁷ unto Moses, saying,²

 Speak¹⁶ unto the children of Israel, saying,² If a woman have conceived seed,⁵⁵ and born¹ a man child: then she shall be unclean¹ seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity² shall she be unclean.⁴

And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.¹¹

And she shall then continue⁴ in the blood of her purifying three ³¹¹⁷ and thirty days; she shall touch⁴ no hallowed thing, nor come⁴ into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.²

But if she bear⁴ a maid child, then she shall be unclean¹ two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue⁴ in the blood of her purifying threescore ³¹¹⁷ and six days.

And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled,² for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring⁵⁵ a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:

Who shall offer⁵² it before the LORD, and make an atonement¹⁴ for her; and she shall be cleansed¹ from the issue of her blood. This [is] the law for her that hath born⁶ a male or a female.

And if she be not able ¹⁷⁶⁷ to bring⁴ a lamb, then she shall bring¹ two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement¹⁴ for her, and she shall be clean.¹
