RHODE
the oldest of the Oceanides and a daughter of Tethys and Oceanus. Later, she was thought of as a daughter of Poseidon and Halia, or Poseidon and Amphitrite.
She was married to Helios. and became by him the mother of Phaeton and his sisters (Apollodorus i.). It should be observed that the names Rhodos and Rhode are often confounded.
A second person bearing the name of Rhode was one of the
Danaids. (Apollodorus)
